I think the reason people try imitating other people is because either one they don't know what their own character is about or two. They're afraid people won't like who they really are. Church stays true to himself and true to his music because his music is peices of his true life. Fame has a way of changing people and those that betray themselves and abandon who they truly are lose it all in the end. But those that impersonate or try to rise to fame on the coattails of people with actual talent are a symptom of the times because everyone now feels they are owed that stardom and fame but only those willing to sacrifice and put in the work will achieve it.
