Diggle was supposed to be John Stewart Green Lantern, but that never happened... The arrowverse was done when they had no plans for a Green Lantern show.
The worst part is they had the perfect layout to make Diggle into John Stewart. All they had to do was follow up on his reconciliation with his stepfather from Arrow. Ya say he was one of the ones lost in Crisis, and have Dig change his name to honor the man who raised him. Boom, John Diggle becomes John Stewart.
we already had Naomi she's on Superman and Lois Tyler buck the chick that plays John Henry's daughter and that's all we need as far as a Naomi reference goals she looks like the actress sounds like the actress and that's it we don't need nothing else looking like Naomi maybe we could have got Legends to be back on if they gotten rid of star girl what is the point of Star girl duh? the the actress who plays the character can't keep her weight down there's a picture of her clouding the benefits of gluten free Oreo cookies what the f*** going on mankind has been eating wheat for your centuries and all of a sudden everything gluten free oh yeah I forgot how about canceling All American that piece of s*** we already had a show about high school football players called Friday night fights I mean can I imagine myself being on a f****** show about football I can't imagine myself showing up every week to read the script to play a football player that's f****** boring as f*** they were bored as hell out of me I know that

Part of the issue with Batwoman and Legends ending isn't quality, hatered of DC or lack of stories, but the company that had bought CW. It's the same company that has owned and run the Grand Ole Opry for years. It is run by a very traditionalist, Christian focused group that has routinely been against the LGTBQA+ community. And what do Batwoman and Legends have in common? Both are fronted by non-heterosexual, non- white male characters. Batwoman the last two seasons has had a lesbian African AMerican lead character. Sara Lance is bi-sexual and in a committed lesbian relationship. Thuis, they were on new managment's chopping block.

Matt Ryan is Constantine any show without him has already failed. The Diggle show needed to some out 5 years ago when the Arrowverse was a thing people where still hyped about.
Naomi's cancellation was NOT a great loss tbh, people were hesitant to watch because it wasn't connected to the Arrowverse and the show itself wasn't even that good.
Not to mention they absolutely know nothing about this character she literally was released not even three years ago. I don’t understand why they would do that when they have plenty of other characters the people would wanna see like vixen That deserve the spotlight
I'm honestly not interested in anything they've announced on the TV show side. I'll stick to The Flash, Stargirl, and Superman & Lois. I am interested in Black Adam and Shazam! 2 though.
I feel like DC picks random characters out of a hat or something and just rolls with it which is why everything seems unstructured and why there are too many forgotten/cancelled projects. Realistically I think they’re just impulsive; like there will be an idea and they announce it as “official” with no plan
the movies are all DCEU aside from batman but i do agree thats their take on TV shows, they pick a DC character/team, make the show and then decide later if they want it to connect, like arrowverse has like 6 shows, then titans and doom patrol are in a seperate universe, and then we have DCEU shows like peacemaker AND then we now have batman universe shows AND we had gotham in its own, its really just a scattered shitshow, they need to just hit the reset button and let HBO make DCEU shows and allow it ALL to connect the the movies, so we actually have an organised universe
@@connorgarvin2056 I definitely agree, I’ve been saying that for a while. I feel that DC should let their current projects finish up and then just reset everything. I’m even OK with DC keeping certain actors for roles but having them be in (what is considered) a new universe with a fresh start. There are some great actors for these roles and great ideas that creators have in the current DCEU yet they’re in a messy universe right now. Overall I’m glad that we do atleast have some good material to enjoy and I think that DC is going to get on a better track
It hurts to watch DC being so screwed up. I mean, I am getting headaches. Just move the T. V. Flash to the Movie Flash with the Justice League, get rid of the screwup they have now in the movie, and focus on what most fans want. Having all these "spin offs" and new versions can give one so many headaches, it is no wonder so many of them are getting canceled and for good reason - they suck.
Arrowverse was used to introduce other shows, because it was convenient to use a popular show to do that. At this point if the "arrowverse" is going to continue in any way, it has to be from one of the shows that came from the "arrowverse" If they all go away, then the arrowverse is officially deceased. The thing that I keep wanting to see is an actual JSA series. I've wanted it since they dropped JSA hints in Smallville. And now I want it more now that there is a Star Girl series, which ties in pretty heavily with JSA.
yep and those shows are only supergirl, arrow, flash and legends of tommorrow, the main 4 that all crossovers were centred on, without those 4, its over and s9 flash is the last of them
I hope they cancel the “Aqualad “ series because they changed his backstory so much to where he’s not even Aqualad …he’s just some black kid living in New Mexico with hydrokenesis. They totally erased his ties to Atlantis 😒
Yay for Superman & Lois. Just started watching season 1. Actually more like 1/2 way through season 1. I went in with skepticism, but I was pleasantly surprised. Glad to hear there will be a season 3. Thank you!
Would love to see legends get a proper series finale. Ah man that Gotham knights is not gonna last. They cancelled legends for the crap that's coming out.
@@bobboivin1033 yea they were originally on the same earth, i mean s1 titans had beast boy leave doom patrol for the titans, but i believe when crisis reset the earths they got split, which is weird cause neither show has any correlation to the arrowverse, not in the slightest
@@evanmorandemos3327 miles caulder and the doom patrol has been referenced by gar in the current season of titans. Its all connected because "multiverse" depicted by the random clip scene showing all dc products during the crisis crossover.
Same actor does not mean it’s the same how. Superman and Lois confirms that this is possible since Superman and Lois are not part of the same universe as flash, it’s not part of earth prime yet it’s the same actors for Superman and Lois who were in crisis on infinite earth.
Quite honestly, the "Riverdale"- like Gotham Knights poster does not bode well for the quality of the series...I think the Arrowverse, much as I loved it in its first several years, has been done to death, It's time to move on. Superman and Lois, Titans, Doom Patrol, Stargirl, the Green Lantern show, the Val-Zod show, even the Penguin spin-off are the way to go! Gotham had a great run even without a grown-up Batman, so the I'm looking forward to the Penguin show... It would be great if Earth 2 becomes the new Arrowverse...
I guess we can all agree that Smallville is the best live-action DC show ever made with 10 seasons and 217 episode don't think it could ever be beaten.
@@jensenism8614 Adventures of Superman, Justice league unlimited, Justice League, Batman the brave & bold, Lucifer, Gotham, Birds of Prey, Constantine, The Batman, Dc superhero girls, Beware the Batman, Batman Beyond, Superfriends, Batman: The Animated Series, Young Justice, Watchmen, Doom Patrol, Titans, Adventures of Superboy, Swamp Thing, Staric Shock, Krypto the Superdog, Green Lantern: The Animated series, and so much more... Can you say honestly that you have watched 💯 percent of all of the above?
CW has lost all merit for me😔 I’d prefer they do something like a Wonder Twins series, completely separate from the DCEU. Just original side characters that are fun to watch, but don’t affect the main universe.
Nah it's not the val zod will be the one created by the actor who played killmonger on black panther , it will be set in the earth 2 continuity , be more lore accurate and respectful to the comics because if you've seen the directing work on his own original show raising dion you'll know the dude knows his stuff well , reads the comics and even watches anime like dragon ball z. So it has potential to be a fantastic val zod series. And the upcoming blackwashed clark kent movie everyone was complaining about is unrelated to this and instead is all warner bros's executive's idea for the next superman movie. That movie if it ever gets made will be an upcoming dumpster fire.
I think it’s safe to say that the reason Gotham Knights was cast the way it was is because Titans is still going. Titans already has Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, and Tim Drake, and as centered as it is around the Batman family, it wouldn’t surprise me if they had plans for Damian Wayne in future episodes. So, they probably encountered some legal issues with using these characters on two different shows
They have the potential to do a lot of damage to the Green lantern setting in a time period they know very little about the other two before it just sound like teen dramas to me which sucks because you guys need some good television right about now.
Dwayne Johnson was talking about how they were talking about making a black Adam movie in 2009, now it's 2022 and they're are making it, so the shows that have been talked about for a couple years they're probably still in the making of it, so you have to be patient don't expect them to finish in a couple days
theyre REALLY indecisive about their choices of production and then most of the time greenlight the worst ones, its so sad to see, gotham knights is such a weird and bad idea for a show and i feel like its been like that ever since green lantern that movie got flamed so now theyre scared to touch green lantern corp or anything outside of vigilantes and superman, its kinda sad to see, it feels like they try to avoid aliens, space and magic whenever they can, just stick with arrow and batman, superman is like the only one they even touch outside of the DCEU
If arrowverse actually is going to end, all of the arrowverse characters (arrow, flash, superman and Lois, supergirl, stargirl, legends of tomorrow, batwoman) should deserve a final crossover series.
The green lantern corps as well as the justice league dark shows will draw mass appeal from fans. Doom patrol is a hit and I'm a fan of stargirl and vixen .the black lightning needs a new actor and his own major motion film with cameos .
OH one more thing. Black lightning was so bad that it didn't have 1/2 a million viewers. But you think someone is going to pay for a movie about it. That is some amazing logic.
9:18 it is possible to have a batman show with it not having batman as the main character. It exists in comic books, it’s gotham central and it’s really good. We see Batman from normal citizens perspective. He appears from time to time, but isn’t the main focus.
@@princee6383 I believe they can still do it. If they mention him from time to time, without seeing him, as if he was just a legend or something, that could be pretty good too. Now of course if they just erase the character’s existence from the story, then I agree, it is kinda strange.
I've been Longing for a legion of superheroes show for years now I don't care if it's a cartoon or live action, I think a live action would be far more expensive considering the time period and characters involved I definitely want to see sun emperor, sun boy, lightning lord, nemesis lad ect.
The Arrowverse is definitely coming to an end. They accomplished Infinite Earths, which it feels like thay had been building to for years. And now, like the MCU after End Game, they have no objective or direction. As a result, they've just been in a steady decline. However, there were plenty DC shows before Arrowverse and there will still be more after and I'm actually looking forward to the future of DC TV shows as a whole
You've gotta be kidding if you don't think the MCU has an objective. Yeah, it's not exactly crystal clear, but they need to build it up, just like Thanos. The next big event is gonna become clearer and clearer for every show/movie released. Thanos wasn't revealed until Avengers, and even then, it wasn't exactly clear he was gonna play the role he did.
@@Wonder50 In the thanos saga, Thanos made his first appearance in the 6th movie. This is the movie where everything came to gather. Right after they spent 5 movies establishing characters. The MCU phase 4 currently has 13 movies and a combined 18 seasons that have either released or have been planned to be released. And there is still no clear goal for the phase. Each of these only vaguely relate to each other. And this is with tones of already established characters. And don't even get me started on the quality of phase 4 so far
Superman and Lois is actually pretty good. Same with star girl kinda. I wish they weren’t connected to the arrow verse so they wouldn’t go under like the other shows
@Jack Big because of the huge stigma attached to the cw, a decent amount of people trashed Superman and Lois the second it was announced because it was connected to the cw. Why the hell are you acting like this isn’t a known thing?
Green Lantern is my favorite DC superhero. That being said, they're setting the show up to bomb when they don't have at least one of the two best recognized characters (Hal Jordan or John Dingle). I'll give it a chance but my hopes are not too high.
He's Constanteen. Matt was Constan-tine totally different characters. **this is a joke based off the same line as calling the PJ movies "Peter Johnson" saga.
That's exactly what theyre doing and although The Suicide Squad, and Shazam did well and was well received by fans which seem silia to the MCU other movies like Wonde Woman, ZSJL and even Peacemaker and many other projects that aren't live-action did well because their original and creative and not like MCU I think they should start to think what fans would like because that's the only audience they should go for though as a fan I don't mind a bit of light humor here and there I just wish the DC can be it's own thing again
The strange adventures show could actually work. they could use it to showcase a lot of the lesser known heroes to gauge whether there might be an audience for them!
Getting away from the regular superhero shows, DC comics has a character that had a show on FOX that with a few tweaks would fit in on HBOMAX or any other platform if they didn’t mess it up. The Human Target would work since in the comics he was a private investigator and bodyguard who would protect clients by taking their place. A program like that if written correctly could possibly be a hit and last longer than the FOX version.
The Possible Point in doing a lot of what DC does. It's because not everyone in society sort of thinks superheroes are much more than men in tights and for kids. The stuff sometimes needs to be toned right down on superhero elements. For Batman stuff, who is grim and gritty, you can't always have much more that Gotham references and a standard 'Action Hero' sort of setting. This, though, in terms of its vision, softly adapts people to accepting the more hardcore superhero stuff. You win them slowly and subtley.
Young Justice is the ONLY series I adore without reservation and want a season 5. Concerning CW shows: I love Stargirl, ....Superman and Lois is barely tolerable, but the rest are dead. I choked through the end of Supergirl, but quit watching the rest mid of last season. I did like the start of Naomi, but quickly lost interest. Stargirl knows its a DC comics story, the rest stopped caring about that. Gotham Knights sounds horrible as do the other CW attempts. I fear that will get ruined, and killing off a major LIVING in the comics character like Brainwave Jr.(who was wonderfully portrayed by Jake Austin Walker and stepped right off the page) so quickly was a choice that indicates a possible cancer inside the production. If you hate what you are, why tell your story? It's what helped kill the Arrowverse. I have hope for some of the Hbomax series, but some of those also sound concerning. Sigh.
Have to say I’m in agreement with most of your assessments. But too many ingredients ruin the stew, and that is what I’m afraid of. Also replacing a perfectly good Constantine with a black actor, and creating a gay Aquaman character sounds like checking off boxes in a Woke Earth to keep troubles at bay.
It's crazy how some show and anime get cancel when they be good or it look like it could be another season but it don't happen look how long it took us to get season 3 of Young Justice both DC and Marvel can do so many shows and movies of different hero's or villein's but the only one really doing it is Marvel with so many hero's and villein's on both sides DC could be up there with Marvel.
honestly legends has been mid for awhile nhow but with the reveal of booster gold i was hoping they would have gotten a final season to send them off instead of a cliff hanger
Between The CW, Warner Bros & DC they have totally killed the Batman story with WB constantly recasting of the character- Robert Patterson's The Batman was the worst ever, it was like a Gothic Movie - WB & DC never learned the phrase, 'If Its Not Broken, Don't Try To Fix It'
A couple of things about Gotham Knights the show. So it was confirmed to not be a part of the arrowverse and will be in its own separate universe. Also given that this show was very quick to get a pilot and a show order many people many people including myself believe that the CW was so quick to give this show a shot because they wanted to cancel Batwoman for a while and greenlit Gotham Knights because it was a similar plot and they knew they could only have one show with the plot of Batman gone and new heroes have to protect Gotham City. Plus Misha Collins is playing Harvey Dent and they love him over at the CW, so when that casting was announced it was writing on the wall for Batwoman. Another thing, I don’t think that rumor about Turner Hayes being a cover name for Dick Grayson, Tim Drake, or Jason Todd with a reveal that it’s actually one of them is true. While yes there is good reasoning to believe that since productions like this use fake names on casting calls (heck when I was auditioning for DCTV show they didn’t use the actual name of the character I was playing. I was sidelined for 3 years and then replaced after being cast so that’s why you haven’t heard of me); but keep in mind that the Batwoman writers are making Gotham Knights, the same people that instead of immediately recasting Kate Kane after Ruby Rose left the role, created an original character to become Batwoman, heck I remember people thought that Ryan Wilder was a cover name for Harper Row when the casting call was released. Plus it’s easier to create a new character for shows like this because from a creative standpoint you’re not tied down to any source material and can do whatever you want with the character
Well, DC has just ensured that I'll never watch Justice League Dark, or anything else related to this version of John Constantine. Matt Ryan nailed the role so well that he was brought back to reprise the role on film and strictly as a voice actor. He's available, he loves the character and the role, yet DC is going woke with this box-ticking nightmare. I've followed Hellblazer since Alan Moore and John Totleben created him in "Swamp Thing" (he was physically based on Sting's appearance at that time), and there is absolutely no legitimate reason to change the character's race except to tick a box and to push an agenda, and they just did. I'm not opposed to gender/race/sexual orientation swapping IF IT'S ORGANIC. This is woke bullshit, plain & simple. They just lost my business.
I first heard of Bluebird from Young Justice and she was lit. you make an excellent point about Cassandra Kane and Damien Wayne over that strange new original character. i don't mind original characters but i feel like they are just gonna repeat storylines from the comics with the names changed... Those would be been the okie doke. 👍🏾
Batwoman Black Lightning DC Legends they're casting was totally wrong- Arrow casting was also wrong but it was the first of CW DC shows, Supergirl first 3 seasons were awesome & what ruined Supergirl was the introduction of Lex Luther & they totally got that wrong. The Flash has been the most consistent & is great but since Carlos Valdes & Tom Cavanagh left the show isnt what it was-
I'm enjoying Superman and Louis and rooting for them Then again I am also kind of liked Krypton and look what happened to that Yes it had its issues but still......
When you have a guy whose entire channel is built on the Arrow-verse be pessimistic about the CW/DC's future, you know things went to crap. I stopped caring about the CW and Arrow-verse years ago. Discovery, please fix DC. Focus on the movies. Who cares about the "We Are The Flash, I'm A Woman," bull crap?
No dont, the shows were the best part and did things far better, and yes with all the cw drama and cheesinessxand flaws, arrowverse always was better than the movues, series have a better track record of actually being good and entertaining ( even the flash with its stale characters, has entertainment value)
@@marocat4749, well I respectfully disagree. Personally, except for Young Justice, Stargirl, and Doom Patrol, I really don't care about DCTV anymore. I just want redemption for the DCEU. And with Discovery in charge, they said themselves they want to revamp DC so people can start loving it again. They even said they want to revitalize Superman.
One more thing I'd ask to do a what-if the MCU was similar to the comics back in the 60s 70s and 80s and 90s and whatnot meaning they will start off the Fantastic Four like the comics did and will continue going in the next order meaning Ant-Man will be next and in the Hulk and so on and so on how I would you Phase 1 is all the Original Adventures get their own movie which means Ant-Man Iron Man Thor Hulk wasp appear in the Ant-Man movie X-Men will get there own movie Spider-man would to Human Torch we get a TV series two a doctor strange movie that's how I would do phase one but you don't have to do it in that way or this recommendation at all it's just something I like to see
Tbh the shows CW has rn like star girl and Superman and Lois are pretty good better than the flash rn but all these new shows that are coming don’t really look all that appealing
THANK YOU, GOD!!! The Arrowverse finally coming to an end. It's about Damn time. Some of the shows, I am not interested in. DC better wake up. The shows coming to Disney + are sick!!
Only shows I might be watching is green latern ,Val Zod , and the Batman show. All the other shows seems stupid and it’s wanerbrothers we talking about they can’t get nothing right for the Live action dc universe.I wish Kevin fiege could take over the Dc brand cause he would’ve done a great job just like he did with the MCU
Are you gonna to mention that John diggle stepfathers last name is Stewart the same in green lantern and how John found a green lantern ring that was showed in arrowverse?
AFAIC the arrowverse ending equals the end of a golden era of superhero TV. I hate that I never got to see a real arrowverse Batman, but maybe Superman and Lois can work that out.
I would guarantee the penguin show to have a ton of money thrown at it! Collin Farrell performance was the biggest take away from the latest movie and it drew a lot of critics praise. It will be very worth our while to watch, I’d love it to become one of hbo’s most watched shows of 2023 but with succession and the last of us to compete with it’s going to be difficult.
For me, the Val zod show could start a whole new universe that could be awesome. It's really exciting because marvels modern success can be contributed to their second main universe. The ultimate universe. Even the marvel cinematic universe brought so many themes and designs from their ultimate universe which added to their success. The same could possibly happen to DC
DC need to stop messing around with "Oh it's stuff from Gotham and Batman and his world but not Batman." Audiences are not dumb, if you had a Batman on the big screen played by Patinson and a completely different Batman on TV played by (insert male TV actor around his 30s with black hair and action chops) we would understand they're not the same thing, just give us a real batman show.
