I want to thank you for putting up this video! My dad bought me a pair of boots that I loved and wore constantly, and he passed away 11 years ago. The boots are worn on the outside and I haven’t worn them in years because they honestly look awful, the tops are so scratched up. This video gave me the inspiration I needed to figure out how to fix my boots and continue wearing them after all these years. I’m so happy you uploaded this!!
I'm so glad I could inspire such a meaningful project for you 🥰 Here's another easy way to upstyle boots that are worn out: awesomesauceasshattery.com/2015/05/20/my-diy-refashioned-cowboy-boots/
I love, love, love all 3! I can understand why the boots were worn to death. They remind me of a great pair my mother bought for me as a Christmas gift a million years ago. My mom is gone and so are the boots, but this brought back good memories. You picked perfect trim for the boots, and perfect tie for the bag.
I really liked revisiting this - when I first came across your channel, oh so many many years ago (it was the video showing you setting up your kitchen in Germany), I went through all the videos you had at the time and have been watching ever since. I had forgotten about this video so thank you for re-showing it. TBH, I love the tie you chose for the bag and find how the fat end of the tie is sewn to the skinny end of the tie at the top of the shoulder is an intriguing style choice. I think it not being a uniform width would bug me too much to have it on my shoulder so I'd put that fat/skinny meetup on the side of the bag right at the top so the fat part is arrowed down. There are a lot of ways to make it the way each person likes. (And you didn't do bad for a beginner either.)
I truly hope that viewers take my tutorials as a general guide and then use their own refashionista imaginations to tweak my DIYs to exactly their own style 🥰 It's really amazing to revisit my first DIYs and see just how well they have lasted + how much my skills have improved too 😄
