Bmbf says I don't have any core mods, then it asks me to allow it to use old core mods. I do, then my game is crashing. I check if my core mods are updated and it says I don't even have any core mods even though it said I installed old core mods. I also can't sync to beat Saber, it just says open beat saber.
Hey so I did it all correctly but it keeps saying that I have a choice of using no core mods or old core mods if I use old core mods the game won’t run if I don’t use core mods the mods don’t load into the game and doing the tools option of checking update for core mods it will just say there are no core mods whag do I do?
thanks for the tutorial! i tried everything you told me but i can't use/ find the custom songs on beat saber i've tried restarting the quest but it doesn't show, i've downloaded some song and again it won't show. Any tips? edit: i got it to work! i forgot to downgrade it tysm for the tutorial!!
This was so easy to follow and worked like a charm! The hardest part was finding a link cable since the headset didn't come with one. I just bought my headset last week and I know what I'm gonna be spending most of my time on. Thanks so much 😊. I will happily subscribe, I'm excited what else I can do with my oculus.

Could you turn App Sharing back on after the modding is done? Or is it no more app sharing at all. Also, If you were to switch between versions (for example you want to multi-player so you go back to the current version) would you still be able to do that with app sharing on? Another thing, would you still be able to add accounts after? Even if you don't app share, can multiple accounts be on the device?
you can turn app sharing back on after you mod but keep in mind if your game updates and you need to remod you will have to turn it back off and unlink the accounts before you mod again. for adding accounts if you link the accounts in that app sharing menu then same goes for that you have to unlink them before modding but you can add them back after.
How do I get it to still show on the pc screen with quest link? I can only launch the modded beat saber when quest link is not plugged in, when I do plug it in I get a completely different home page with the regular beat saber app
Hey, I did everything you said and I get to the setup screen on the quest and it says "BMBF could not find any mod support for your version of beatsaber!" says its because my quest has no internet connection but I an connected to wifi on the quest and can go to youtube and watch videos. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank You!
do you own beta saber on your account? it can't be a shared game. also make sure your app sharing is off and you're not linked to any other accounts and that your developer mod is enabled
it may not be mapped. all the custom songs are mapped by the community but not every song is mapped. try searching the artist name as well. what song is it btw? I'll look and see if I find it
When it asked to verify for developer mode I have to upload documents either an ID or a phone bill showing my business name and number, is this a new thing?
no you won't be able to play ost multi with a modded game. you can however get modded multi but your friends would have to do the same and mod their game. the other option you have is to mod your game then make another meta account and use app sharing to share beat saber to it then use that account for an un modded game. do keep in mind if you add another account you have to unlink that account and turn off app sharing when modding your game then add it back cause having app sharing on messes up the ability to mod

well it's a really old version so it's probably just super outdated. try going into bmbf and on the tools page click check core mod updates then sync to beat saber if it lets you after that restart your headset. if you have an old version of bmbf you can hit quick fix instead of check core mod updates and do the same thing
Hey I probably should’ve asked before I did it (It works great btw thank you!) but has this method gotten anyone banned? There is so many warnings that I’m starting to get paranoid. I had original beat saber and even bought 2 music packs… should I be ok?
so the warnings are for pirated games which if you bought beat saber it's not pirated. I've been modding for like two years on my quest 2 and there haven't been any reported bans for modding. so imo you're fine
I would uninstall and reinstall but make sure you back up your data first if you don't want to lose your settings and high scores. if it doesn't let you uninstall then try doing it from sidequest
On side quest it says Unauthorized: Allow in headset OPEN SETUP INSTRUCTIONS and i already followed the instruction from the video through 2:03, can someone tell me how to fix this.

When I do this do you mean downgrading the headset or just the beat sabor game? I figure its the whole headset, could that affect my other games? Sorry if these are silly questions, I’m new to VR💖
ive tried just about everything, but every time I download the bmbf version it will just delete beat saber and stay on the step 3 page, I'm on the latest beat saber update and the headset is on its latest update as well
I've followed all of the instructions but can't bring up any songs to download for my headset. Do they need to be stored in a certain folder on my PC? Will it play songs in FLAC format? Been trying for two hours, done for the night.
if you don't downgrade your game your scores should save BUT to be extra safe just follow this timestamp to manually save your score and then you don't leave anything up to chance ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uxx0n7P3j70.html for updating your just update as normal in the app menu. if it doesn't prompt you to update then just uninstall and reinstall and it will restore your game. just make sure you have your data manually saved if you uninstall your game cause uninstalling will definitely erase your scores
Hi there, great detailed tutorial. But in my case I can't install BMBF... dev mode activated, account sharing thing deactivated, quest hooked up to PC with 2 different cables, sidequest "advanced" installed... it says it installed the APK, but the APK doesn't show up. Tried with the "sideload" menu straight from the store page for BMBF, but also while giving the APK directly to sidequest to load. No luck so far, the APK won't show up :( Ideas ?
so you mentioned app sharing is off which is good but did you make sure to unlink any accounts that were listed? they have to be unlinked also. you can add them back after you mod
Whenever i try to download modded beat saber the installing screen pops up but it never downloads. ive modded beatsaber before and this never happened so i dont know if im doing something wrong or if its the oculus itself.
@@XoRoseGold i keep app sharing off since i’m the only account on the oculus but i still double checked everything to see if i missed something important
there haven't been any reported cases of banning for modding. and I've been modding for 2 years. I think it's mostly a piracy thing and this isn't even piracy. the warning is just generic and doesn't really know what were doing
