My tics dropped to barely nothing during each lockdown - I’m hugely impacted by real life ! I find I’m best when I lesson the stimulation society can provide ... and I’ve always parented my Ticcing son with the belief that a life lived ‘holistically’ will help his development neurologically . Thank you for all you’ve done to help educate 🙃 you’re a great role model for others . 🕊

Hi Damian, Came across your BBC video in my RU-vid recommendations and realised that's someone I worked with! Good to see that you are doing well. It seems through all the difficulties you have developed a great deal of psychological resilience and compassion to self and others. It's always wonderful to hear someone having any "awakening" and how it changes a person perspectives on life. I agree with the limitations of MH nursing you alluded to and indeed it has its values but more is needed. Bravo for sharing your experience so publicly and good luck to whatever you aim to achieve!

As an Asian Buddhist, I think of the Buddhist way to deal with anxiety and other suffering, anyway I'm glad you found your path through Hinduism. Live a happy life and find the right guy. Hey Damian, I never write comments but your video just struck a chord with me. I've been going through a similar experience all throughout the pandemic, so when you mentioned the kundalini awakening I got chills down my spine. It's all more stable now but I doubt I've seen the end of it. I'm glad to see your tourettes have stopped, hope everything is good with you. I know it can be a very confusing experience.

I haven’t really been watching your story, but I saw you on the first dates show and I saw a video special about when you discovered you had Tourette’s. I thought you were cute then, you showed your heart in both and I almost fell in love with a part of you that day. Thank you for sharing then and being brave enough to put yourself out there. Having said that, I am so into this today and your ability to step out of the simulation and see things in a new way. I think you are still cute. What a ride you’ve been on.

I was in Bible college when I had a similar awakening. I was not an easy person to like. Very prone to self pity. Over the course of 3 months I became aware that all the things I blamed others for were entirely my own fault. It was very hard to look at myself from a more objective point of view because I did not like what I saw. I left the school, came out and turned my life toward positivity and empathy. I never looked back. I was in my early 20’s and I’m 58 now. I can’t say it’s been an easy path but a very rewarding one. Awareness is a life long education and one you continually build upon. At least it is for me.

During Awakening, i kinda feel so lost and sometimes i wonder what is my “life” Sometimes i woke up suddenly at 3am Later on i learnt not to control it But let it as an opportunity during risks Sometimes it is fun experiences hahaha My first awakening was after i nap more than 4 hrs during the day . I don’t like sleep in the afternoon. It made me feel weird and grumpy xD and it somehow take me sooo long to be back to become myself in reality . I thought you were cool and wanted to see how you are doing now. Firstly, you look amazing with your head shaved. However, to hear about your spiritual awakening absolutely blew me away and the fact that your ticks stopped. I do know what kundalini awakening is as I have been into the spiritual scene for many years, am on the path of Tibetan Buddhism now. When I heard about your experience and insight, I wondered if you have taken part in any medicine healing. In any case, it's absolutely fantastic, I'm so glad I've looked up your channel. I discovered you on your First Date Hotel episode. I didn’t know much about Tourette’s so I watched all the videos you made wondering what would it be like to have a close friend or to date someone with this condition. What I saw was a man of the finest character with a gremlin inside that pops to the surface demanding to be noticed. It became easy for me to look past the gremlins and focus on the captain who had taken would could be a disability and found a way to use these little fuckers to empower himself. I felt I was growing vicariously through your experience. All along the way I kept thinking there must be a spiritual solution that could erase the tension and anxiety which I thought might be exacerbating the tics. It seems you answered my question. You see those gremlins are not just in people with Tourette’s but most people throughout society. They may not cause tics or vulgar outbursts but they cause people to make bad decisions based on some combination of fear, doubt or anger. Your journey could teach us all so much. While I have never had anything like what you describe, I do know that when I tune out all the society’s distractions and find a beautiful peaceful setting I can feel a amazing energy radiating from the earth, passing through me like it is heading to the heavens. It is a euphoric feeling similar to falling in love. It is what I call pure self love. It requires you to silence the ego and it’s constant need to judge and simply see yourself as one of the many amazing creatures of this beautiful planet we live on. It sounds like you may have caught a ride on that energy that metaphorically carried you to the edges of the universe. I would love one day to have the same experience. Please keep us posted and may your journey make the world a better place.

I’ve been going through the same thing for the past year from January 2020 to now and it’s been incredible but also at times really intense and trying. The world both inside and out looks completely different than it used to before this.

You can be spiritual without having to rely on words written down by humans. Your spirit may be on a journey that has stimulated your physical body to change or even heal. Just go with the flow and be your own master of whatever experience you are going through. If you feel good or better then just go for it but if you don't then you can choose another route. Be well and be you. Spirit is eternal and will always be with you.

This is just so interesting. I've just stalked you after seeing your episode on first dates 😅 Just loved your story and your outlook and was interested to see how you're getting on or whether you guys were an item still ... But was not expecting your tourettes to have disappeared! Think it's amazing what a journey you must have been on over the years and wondered if it was strange with your tics now gone? In the episode you mentioned it was like having a friend that makes you laugh and cry etc so interested to hear what that was like Also relating to this video, I'd love to know how your philosophy has changed regarding mental health treatment generally? Like do you advocate a more spiritual path now? And what triggered your awakening? I've heard of pharmacological awakenings from drugs like DMT and Ketamine and know these are being trialed for various conditions (or just diet/exercise altering neurochemistry?). I wondered if it was something similar for you or was it a case of just powerful reflection and suddenly unlocking something? I've had depression on and off and also have ADHD and I'm not at peace with my brain ha. Hoping you can bottle up whatever experience you had or pass on how you you got to where you are Would love to hear what unlocked your perspective, how you now view things and what your thoughts on what about your new perspective stopped your tourettes/depression Best wishes, Damon
Hi Damian. It seems you have had an encounter or experience with a different kind of love. Where does genuine love come from and how will that change your relationships? These are big questions but you know where to look. It is good to see and hear about your healing and now you will look for understanding. Carry on!
You appear calm in the face of your experience. I think this good. Perhaps this is the first time in your life where sudden changes in ways you think, act, or experience life haven’t been accompanied by anxiety or apprehension. Despite the chaos of the current world situation and the anxiety that people around you are giving off in waves, you may feel ‘strangely calm. Smile and be confident in the ‘still point.’ Perhaps all the struggles of your life have placed you at a point where you can now see things from above, instead of floundering in the weeds. Many of my patients with chronic illnesses report similar periods like those you describe, generally accompanying a ‘breakthrough’ period, that does not recede. I hope the best for you.

I'm truly happy for you Dear❤💕 but you should know one thing About spirituality it's there for self healing and calming your mind and thoughts but one thing you should know you'll see and hear things that will be tempting and feels good and look kind you should never trust them because the spiritual realm doesn't have a veil or protection like the physical world so you'll be an easy target for demonic and evil entity deception and them trying to misguide you to summon them and in some cases they will try to possess you and that's why connecting to your spiritual side can be extremely dangerous for you if you didn't know the risks or what's waiting for there to be prepared for it and the spiritual realm in reality is just your soul roaming outside of your body through your thoughts the space and memories to heal your soul and body it has nothing to do with the dead because a lot of people would tell they're connecting with their lost ones and talking to them and seeing them and that's not possible it's impossible for the living to see or hear the dead it's all deception be a demonic entity because in the spiritual realm they're the apex predator and you should always be careful and never trust what you see or hear there.
