Also yeah, Elizabethan England is one of the options for the English time study of the AQA History GCSE course tht a school can pick and I was in a school that picked it lol. So I know a LOT about Elizabeth's reign, and let me tell you she had a lot of shit to deal with but she dealt with it. There's also proof she didn't want to execute Mary Queen of Scots and was gonna change her mind after writing the warrant but couldn't because parliament acted on it IMMEDIATELY as they didn't want the risk of Mary Queen of Scots alive, but still.

There are schools named after Saints, so I don't doubt this. I think there's also a university named after a historical figure (that I forgot the nme of whoops) who made the first ever like-modern-day's parliament back in the 1300s.

@@ScreamsBaba OKAY I ALREADY HAVE THIS PLANNED OUT So Evan's mother's (forgot her name) lines would be given to Mary and Elizabeth, directed at each other. But I had this idea where from the beginning to the line "now you're free from the agonizing life you were living before" it's actually Catherine of Aragon singing, and then on that drumbeat right before "and you say what you need to say", you see her rapidly transforming into each of the other queens in turn and then into Mary's ghost. Mary then begins confronting Elizabeth (who bites right back). Then while they're bitching at each other, you see Edward trying to run over and break it up, but he's stopped by Janey G. "Does it cross your mind to be slightly sorry" is at first directed at Edward, but then Jane's attention turns to Mary (who's still bitching at Elizabeth). Then Mezza bursts in with Jared's lines, swinging her axe around with a crazed, exhausted grin on her face. "Go ahead now, I won't mind" comes from both her and Jane, directed at Elizabeth and Mary respectively. We cut back to their continued bitching at each other ("I'll shut my mouth and I'll let you go" etc.) but on "I'll just sit back while you run the show" etc. they are both spun around to face Mezza and Jane. You see shock register on both their faces as they come face-to-face with their past mistakes. And Edward - he's still there, wanting to run up and stop them all from fighting. Evan's lines all go to him. Maybe on the line "tell me how can I change the story" he briefly sees his totally-platonic "best friend" Barnaby, and tries to reach out to him, but he disappears. Eventually, fury at the shortness and frustration of his own life overcomes him, and he joins the brawl. And then - the climax. Everyone's furious. Everyone is trying to blame everyone else for their pain. But suddenly, they see something. They look up - a portrait of the one person truly to blame. Henry. And on the final line ("good for you - so you got what you always wanted") they all unite. On the extended "you" they stretch out their arms and point at the portrait. And finally, they turn away from it. The final shot is them all standing grimly side by side, the half-burnt portrait hanging lopsidedly behind them. And *cut to black* I SPENT WAY TOO LONG THINKING THIS THROUGH

YourFav RU-vidPerson I find her very frustrating when ever I’ve studied her and get even more frustrated when I watch films or documentaries about her cause they either paint her as a complete villain or a victim (victim annoys the most) I’m part Scottish through my father’s side so i have strong connection and love for Scotland but Mary was not a good Queen. She was selfish and failed to do what was right for Scotland. She ignored the fact her country was very divided religiously and didn’t even try to use her advantages to her advantage (allies in France where if she tried to strengthen relations but chose to focus on England and taking Elizabeth’s throne) She acted as tho Scotland was a second rate country and thought she deserved better in England. Lots of people front even see her as a real scot as she was raised in France and was very much a spoilt brat. She just really annoys me and there’s a lot more to say but I’m not going to write a whole essay on it. No one wants that

@@artye2160 Arty E I mean, she was put on the throne when she was six days old. She was expected to come to Scotland and rule by herself when she would have been leaving secondary school. She was used to French culture because she lived there since she was a six year old. That wasn't her fault. And when everyone, including the Vatican, tells you that it's your birth right to rule England, would you not want it? I wish she was queen consort of France instead of queen regnant of Scotland. She would've been better suited for it. After all, she was never supposed to be queen in the first place.
