Not to be negative, I pray all goes well. As a person with random seizures, I would be very careful with the decision to start driving. I thought my episodes where gone (under control with medication I've gone as long as 6-7 months) and at random times they show up, disrupting my life and things I love to do. Again, I pray all goes well with you and family.

I am with Evan. I live in Knoxville too, I looked at the weather Friday, it said a dusting to an in. Saturday it said 2-4 inches, then all of the sudden we ended up with 10 inches. 😱 I’ve been stuck at home all week! Carlin’s dad was cracking me up. Such good news about Carlin hopefully being able to drive again soon!

I think Evan may have had an extra caffeine fix. So much energy ! His Michael Buble rendition of "Let it snow" was great! But his Pippi Longstocking was a crackup lol!!! I am so excited for Carlin to be able to drive again! My BIL had brain surgery after many bad headaches and finding a spot on hit brain. He couldn’t drive for a year. I picked him up for work every day and brought him home at night. Talk about a good feeling when he was able to drive again. Enjoy your freedom!

For future reference, you can find snow suits and sleds if you have a Costco membership. You may even find them online. I'm praying that Carlin's health continues to improve and she's able to drive again next month.

My dad is definitely like Gill Bates he is so loving and caring! He will drop anything for his kids and grandkids. Minnesota didn’t get much snow this year but I think we got lucky this year but I am sure it’s coming

You can probably relate to my life now, with being stuck at home. I've been housebound and recliner/bedbound because of my health "challenges" from ME/CFS for 9 1/2 years (plus Long Covid since March of 2020). I can only get out for medical appointments and I must limit those because any activity worsens my ME/CFS.....and have not driven in 10 years. Being cooped up and unable to do anything around the house is SUPER challenging! I keep praying that the scientists and researchers finally develop treatments and meds for ME/CFS and for Long Covid, too, PLUS cures would be super amazing! Unfortunately, there hasn't been enough funding to get it accomplished. I've had ME/CFS for 30 1/2 years. It's been a long time waiting for any help. Please keep praying for all of us who have both of these illnesses. We need all the help and prayers that we can get! I am so excited for you Carlin to be able to drive pretty soon! It will be unnerving, I'm sure, but it will seem like freedom for you, too! I'm sending you all my love, prayers, and gentle hugs, from Donna in Florida. 🥰

I live in Fernley, Nevada (northern Nevada; nowhere near Las Vegas, thank the Lord) and we got 17 inches of snow in the course of about 5 hours on Wednesday the 10th. It was a record for us. Typically when it snows here, we get anywhere from 1 inch to about 3 inches, and rarely we get up to 8 inches, so this was a big deal for us. Schools were canceled and everything was a mess for 2 days. Thankfully it cleared up enough that my daughter and I were still able to travel to New Mexico on Friday the 12th to attend my granddaughter's sweet 16 party! 🙌🙌❤

I grew up in MI and moved to Knoxville in 1974. My kiddos didn't have lots of winter gear either since we very rarely needed it. So when they were little they would put plastic bread bags over their socks then put on an old pair of shoes to go out in the snow. That way their feet stayed dry (not warm, but dry). Making due always works. It's such a joy seeing the littles playing in the snow. I live in Seymour and we only got 2 "crunchy" inches. Even south Knoxville got (just about 5 miles north of us) got 10"!

Snow days are snow much fun!😊

Grew up along the Susquehanna River in South Central PA...never had snow suits. Girls wore tights, long johns and pants, guys wore long johns and pants...bundled up in coats, hats, gloves, boots, and maybe a scarf if it was windy...we all played for HOURS in the snow and survived. I promise, you don't need "snow bibs" for the kids as seldom as you get measurable snow. They will be fine...warm 'em back up with hot cocoa or soup and they'll be ready to go out again. Snow play is the best!

Our church also does a marriage retreat. W/ 4 kids, it’s such a blessing to reconnect and just enjoy each other for a weekend.❤ Hoping you’re able to drive! My friend used to have seizures and she couldn’t drive for years. It was hard for a season, but now she’s good! Been driving for a while and doing well! Seizure free! 🎉

Y'all had a LOT of snow for TN! We only got between 2-3 inches and we are so over it. The cold has been brutal here in NW Tennessee.

I totally understand the frustration having to rely on someone to take you everywhere. I haven’t been able to drive since 2009 it sucks being home alone all the time. I stopped driving due to epilepsy I could drive if I wanted to but I’m to afraid to have a seizure

Hey Stew Crew, just a word of advice, when I was a kid playing with cousins in Kentucky and sliding down the hills in the snow. We made our own sleds, using cardboard boxes, but we put the cardboard in plastic Lawn and leaf bags makes for a perfect sled. Tie the handles in a knot so the bag don't slip off of the cardboard. You have a perfect sledding hill in your backyard! Enjoy!!!

We grew up in upstate NY, now living in NC, but my husband always loved to go out in the snow. Things rarely closed down so we’d go out to eat or something just to go out in it. 😊

Never heard about snow bibs. Here in Maine we call them snow pants

No snow boots, put the kids feet in plastic bags you use to put your vegetables in from the store, , and slip their little feet into their shoes, it will keep their little feet warm. That’s what we use to do in my younger days in Alaska. Just a thought😊

One of the best fun snow tips we ever got raising littles was to bring into the bathtub big bowl-fuls of snow from outside! That way, you don't have to worry about all the snow prep! Bonus, they can play on the outside of the tub and not be freezing cold! We even colored ours with food coloring and sprinkles for added fun and brought in bath toys to play with. It was a HUGE win for us!!🙌🏼

For the fiddle leaf fig with the leaves falling, it's most likely a watering issue. I would guess that it's potentially overwatered, which is a common thing to do! Mine was very finicky for a while, until I figured out it actually prefers a dryer soil over a wet one. Maybe try a deep watering once per week and see how it does after that! I feel the soil 3-4 inches into the pot to really test if it needs more water or not.
