Hi. Quick install and very clear instructions thank you. Could you help with one thing please. On remote playback when I move the blue time line with my cursor to a set time point it just goes back to the beginning of the day. I can double click on the line but I cannot use the fast forward. It shows that it is multiplying but the clock and the video is running at the normal speed. Thanks in advance

Is it possible to connect cameras directly to a computer without a recorder? Because if so, I would buy a POE switch suitable for the number of cameras and record the monitoring on a disk connected directly to the computer? of course the computer would be on 24/7 ON And is it possible to manage it completely with the program on a PC?

We are now at version 3.11.0.5_E Why don't you adjust the link? Why doesn't the link go directly to HIK? A link to outdated software doesn't work for you! It's not for nothing that HIK made improvements.

This is an intentional limitation to reduce cellular broadband bandwidth usage. If you require more than 5 minutes of Live View, we recommend adding your device via IP Domain on the Hik-Connect app with port forwarding

@@hikconnect Hi did delete the first device, shut my computer down and started it again. Got all the way through it . Put in streaming key and it went back to above. So I went to my laptop which has never had HIK or iVMS 4200 on and the same has happened.

I realised that I have been doing it wrong. Yes I want to connect to my PC but my PC is 30 miles from the cameras. Listening to your video again I have been doing the online which is wrong? Do you have a video that shows how to connect remotely not online? Thanks. At least I now know what I am doing wrong.

hi, ivms-4200 only allow 5 minute of viewing time, then it will stop, then have to click play again, kind of annoying, you know any work around?

@@hikconnect I live in another country and my cameras are somewhere else also connecting through port is a big process. Also if hik connect have kept this kind of limitation honesty this limitation is something not needed and it should be an option to turn this limitation off.
