Hy could you please tell how to puck you change the size of the list with the cameras ? I want to make the list 2 cm wide and have more room for the cameras window.

Hi, not sure what version of the software you are running, but I just recently installed 2 systems for the same client who wanted to have full time display for both sites. I ended up unfortunately setting them up through web view. It works, but I really did not want to do this. I could NOT figure out dual display, as any videos on the internet showed old software version tutorials. Until now.... The aux display option has been moved to the system menu in the top right corner.

Hi, if i may ask, what specification of computer hardware will you use in IVMS 4200? i have approximately 90 cctv cameras it is in group already in ivms, my problem is that what spec should i use for it to run smoothly?
I can only see 30 cameras max on hik...I’m told that’s the max... . So I have to uncheck the cameras I just viewed then check off the other cameras. We have 90 cameras in total.

i just bought hikvision cctv and dvr, installing ivms 4200 on my pc.. i can view my cctv from my pc by p2p, but when i try via ip/domain, its offline.. its not as easy as it looks tho..
if you login to the camera interface and then go to the image sub menu , in there you can change it to auto or scheduled etc , it may be stuck on night mode 😊
NVR does not show up in search. Have tried to add manually, but shows offline. I am on the same network, attached to the same router, by wire. My previous NVR would show on my network page. All I had to do was login.
I can't seem to get the cameras to show in the main view. If I go into maintenance and management under device I can see my NVR box listed. It says its online as well. This is on a second laptop computer. On my other PC I can see all six cameras when I go to main view. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
can you do this , go to the device maintaince section, then on the left select the group sub tab ,under there can you check the device is added ,If not select add group by device name and then add the device in
you have added the device but not the channels, please go into the group tab under device area , and add a group and then pick that unit that hasn’t bought the cameras in as the device group to be created, this should then resolve this issue 😊
My camera shows offline no matter what i do, I have tried numerous network settings, the camera is working when i view through a browser. When I go to configuration/camera management/ip camera, status is online, I used the IP address from here when setting up the camera in iVMS. Preferred DNS is the same as my router, alternate is 8.8.8.8. All the troubleshooting guides only tell me to changed those settings but still no good. Also tried DHCP and auto DNS, no joy.
@@DVSLTD Hi thanks for your reply. Under IP camera under camera management in the browser it says 8000, its also set to that in iVMS-4200. I didnt have a hikconnect account which I have now registered (I think) but still showing offline. Im getting support from the reseller, will update with the problem was when i fix it.
@@DVSLTD Ok couple of things, I was trying to add the camera not the NVR! I also didnt have hikconnect set up properly, now its all working! Thanks a lot for the tutorial im going through it now to get everything set up.

Thanks for the lovely comment, we only support the video wall now in the older model of 4200 which is limited with what it can do , we do have a stand-alone version of 4200 video wall software which is still popular but it doesn’t allow all 4200 functions just video wall control , we advise HIK-Central to be used if you need full control , I can look at doing a 4200 video wall control video
Is it possible on the DS 7204 HUHI K1 to crop the camera to be displayed digitally zoomed in live view all the time? (it's very wide, so I'd narrow down the live view)
most people who aren't using this for their businesses would probably like a basic tutorial about how to get motion detected videos sent to their emails, etc. Can you do one, or do you already have one made for this? Not everyone is tech savvy these days, and would like an easy step through for this type of usage. Or is there some other software you would recommend that isn't so robust? Oh, also, one of my cameras is a ptz and I can't seem to see that camera from the internet, even if I replace my internal 192 ip address with the actual external ip. The other camera works fine if I use the external ip. Thanks again.

Hi, how do I keep the camera I'm watching in Live view? I want to monitor the cameras 24/7 , I can only watch it live for a few minutes before each camera view goes grey with a play button displayed. Im sure its operator error but just not sure how to do this

Hi Rrick and thanks, if you go to device management and then remote configuration option ( cog icon ) and select basic , it should take you to the web page of the device where you can set each VCA rule as needed direct to the NVR / DVR which is better in that we are more compatible this way , I hope this helps
Hi , so you can always search for the person and see the associated fob data , OR if you have the fob you can use the search function and search for the person associated with that fob and then edit as Required, do you know how to do that?,
@@DVSLTD Thanks for all your help!!! I work for a marina. Someone working here handed over some pre-prepared fobs without recording who received them. Never mind that our "security" system is quite Mickey Mouse. We are not allowed to issue a password for each employee. Anyhoo, I want to LOCATE ALL ACTIVE FOBS THAT HAVE NO CUSTOMER NAME ATTACHED TO THEM. Can you help me with that? Thank you so much! Charlene

Hi , and thank you for the kind words, yes under the user management you are able to create this rule and associate only the cameras for live view and playback if required so they cannot then see them all

Can you please ask Hikvision to enable copy and pasting of usernames and passwords in their software? It's so frustrating not being able to copy and paste long secure passwords from a password manager. It's against best security practices to disable this functionality.

Hi , and thanks for this , we can use HIK-Central to achieve this , we can view more than 64 on the latest 4200 , but it will really impact the PC performance have you tried the latest 4200 ? it can support 64 cams on 1 screen , so you would need 2 screens

the NVR is much better way to do this , but on each camera under motion , assume motion is enabled and under linkage action the “notify surveillance centre” is ticked??
Can you live stream camera feeds from Hybrid SAN? As far as I understand, Hybrid SAN can record camera feeds without needs additional equipment. This is good architecture because Hybrid SAN located in the rack securly. But I'm not sure Can iVMS-4200 can stream from Hybrid SAN? Can I assume this will be same as demostrated in this video?

We had a supplier. However, I was told I can’t do it from the software. I argued that doesn’t make sense, my computer is not by the nvr, so how the hell am I going to hear audible warning. Then he told me my nvr is not cable of letting the software do what I’m asking about.
very nice video, I really appreciate. One question about this software ability. Is it possible to get the entire log alarm from DVR to iVMS-4200? Then I'd like to search different type of alarms to see the exact event. The best way should be to double click on alarm event time from list and to have the video recorded at that time. Thank you.
@@DVSLTD first of all it is not working, when I export it is just a csv file with my devices having parameters. No alarm. On the other hand I don't need export of alarms, but I need to list and filter them by criteria and to localize very easy some footage by double clicking the image. This is very useful function and I can't find it into so sophisticate and nice software.
How to fast forward on ivms-4200? Default setting is only up to x16 times. When I move with mouse the time frame under the video, the video freezes and starts when mouse is released. But in some cases we need to fast forward and watch in real time what is happening.

I want to use the HikCentral can I build a purpose build Workstation computer with highend graphics cards to setup the video wall or do I need at the Hikvision DS-6908udi decoder. Where can I purchase the 64ch Software Licenses for HikCentral. ivms-4200 is too unstable.
Hi , HIK-Central has 2 options for the video wall , you can use the smart wall license and hardware decoder like the DS-69UDI range, or we now also do a client video wall license which is cheaper but tries to give the similar control to the client as if using a decoder, I prefer the decoder as its more powerful but its possible either way , if you choose the decoder option you can add multiple decoders to the system and manage them from the client with the smart wall license, and the PC can still run up to 4 screens as long as the spec is meet , regards the license where are you based and I will get a contact for you 😊
How do I delete an IP Camera from the IP camera Management menu? I have many unused channels on my NVR and I can't Add any more IP cameras because NVR says I have no more room (channels) available to add more cameras. I have reinitialized , rebooted, changed out HDD on NVR and the cameras are still there. Any help will be appreciated.
Question, using 4200 v.2.7.1.4. Camera field of view in remote configuration display window is much larger than in live view, which is missing about 35% of the image. Any way to correct/adjust this?

list of my equipment : 3 x 256ch NVR's - 1 x 32ch nvr. total of 505 cams of whitch is 70 ptz's. 7 x pc's with IVMS4200.if pc's are rebooted or software is opened, cams take up to 20min to load before live view is available. i am concerned that pc's lan port receives more data than what it can handle. Any ideas ?
@@DVSLTD thats what I did but it seems to be using the internet...i always only add my IP cameras using IP address..video footage live runs smoother on Web browser interface than IVMS......have I missed something?
Hi Dave. Does this make sense? I can see your video, and your voice audio is synched to the clicking you're doing on the software. But the insert video's got a horrid lip-sync issue. It can't be my Chrome browser, because, again, the actions of the GUI are in synch to what you're saying!
