As an early bday treat, we brought their favorite, Culvers, to dine and chat with them, and celebrate Grandpa's 95th. I decided to film a little follow up to their original interview. They both turn 95 this year and will celebrate their 75th Anniversary.

I'm sad to say, our G&G both passed in May, 2020. C0vid took over their asst. living facility. They were 97 & 98, married almost 78 years. Please know they loved all of you & loved your comments. They adopted you all as surrogate grandchildren. Lift your gaze up, send them a smile, and share their videos w/someone who needs some light and love in their day. I have more footage I will post when I can watch w/o tearing up. In the meantime, keep sharing your light w/the world. Grab your kleenex and look for their vow-renewal on my channel - it will remind you what truly matters in life. Hugs to you all from Minneapolis

Danni- I’m so thankful you had the foresight to record them and share their beautiful story with us. I’m sorry to hear that they have passed, but that they left the earth so close together seems beautiful in its own way. You have a wonderful legacy. I am praying for peace over you.

Oh no, so anotherwords they were tested positive for Covid? If so, my Grandpa died 2 months later from COVID19. He was 71 years old and a Type 2 Diabetic.

My Mother and Dad are just like these two, they are 80 and 84 respectively, married 60 yrs. Couple months ago I walked in and Mom was on Dad's lap smoochin him. Of course I said "get a room, you two" quick as a wink, grinning, Dad said "with your Mom's hip goin bad and my bum knee, we couldn't make it to a room" Mom slapped him and said giggling, "Norman you idiot! Dad said, "that's why we need a Hoveround." Bless your Grama & Grampa, a lovely couple and what an example!

Laney Bowdoin i know! I remember riding with them to church as a lil girl and listening to them joke around in the front seat about how grandma didn't like his driving, and he would tell her that it was her fault because she was distracting him with her gorgeous legs 😍 they have literally always been this way, always so in love! Thank you so much for commenting, and watching! The original video is connected to this one, I filmed it five years ago. I re-uploaded it a couple of years ago after clipping a few parts out because a news station was featuring them and I wanted their identity to be a little more secure... so that's why the upload date is only a few years ago.

My boyfriend and I recently saw the viral How to be Married for 70 Years video and it absolutely inspired us. We've been together only a fraction of what your grandparents have (5 years) but watching it gave us something wonderful to look forward to & we can't wait to have stories to tell. Glad they're well! I was just scrolling through some videos and the title caught my attention mainly because I love hearing old people tell their stories. I work in men's retail and have a 95 yr old customer that always comes in and tells me his World War II stories. I could listen to him for hours it's so fascinating!

I've been married to my husband for 30 years. We got married in high school. He was 15 and i was 16. We hit our mid life crisis at 19 yrs old. IT WAS BAD!!! It lasted for more than a decade...the bad. Then i got sick and almost died, spent 2 months in the hospital. When i got out that's when our marriage changed for the better. We use to be mad and little laughs. But now we laugh alot and hardly mad. He calls me his honey bear and i call him Sifu Sir. I want us to be like ur grandparents. It was hard to get over those rough times. But I'm glad we stuck it out. This is inspiration for me!!!

Thanks for posting this video! We, the young couples, need this kind of inspiration! We are bombarded with the cheating/infinite sex buddies culture and they kind of make us confused. They make us believe that there is not such thing as true, everlasting love... But, fortunately, these honey babies taught us that there is! Wow. I wish your grandparents all the best for the future. My grandfather was married for over 50 years and, sadly, my grandmother passed in 2009. They were just like this - two people sharing one beautiful soul. Truly special. PS: I totally am not a 27 year old man crying at a youtube video right now.

God I miss him so much and still find myself falling in love with him over and over. He passed in 2011 from complications from the chemotherapy. One day we will be reunited and again be that couple we were before. Sorry my phone fudged up and sent my comment before I was through typing it out.

Love the video Danni, your grandparents are definitely relationship goals. If it's not too much to ask I'd love to hear more from your grandpa about his time during World War 2, it's always fascinating to listen to people who actually lived the war and not just read what the history books say.

Great! Can't wait, It's so important to learn about history from the people who actually lived it, and WW2 is such an important part of history with so many people having so many different experiences. Also, I live in Ireland so there is little to no WW2 veterans for me to learn from.

I just found your videos. My husband of 42 years has left to have some space after the worst disagreement we have ever had. Everyone used to envy our relationship. This is the first time he has ever left. I thought we had what your grandparents had. Do not think your relationship is bullet proof. You never know when things change. They remind me of my pastor and his wife there been married 66 years since nov.15 of 1952,she's 94 hes 93 pastor is about to turn 94 in may they also live in a retirement community in Ontario CA. They have 6 grandchildren an 2 grate grandchildren total 8. Grandchildren pastor still drives hes been driving since 1941. Anyway youre grandparents are very hilarious .and may they keep inspiring people like me that want too be married as long as they have for almost nearly 80 years.

They remind my of my grandparents! Also married 70+ years. My grandfather spent his last six years voiceless after a stroke stole his speech and he survived my cancer stricken grandmother by one year and some change. I can't even imagine his torment in not being able to console her verbally or say what went unsaid. She had the gift of gab and he was wry and stoic but very warm and compassionate. Life was never perfect, but they were perfect for each other and the only real example I had of two people whose marriage itself was like two pillars holding up a roof to shelter many. RIP to all the lovebirds that held it down.

April 20, 2020 in philly PA during this covid 19 quarantine. THANK YOU so much for this video. They are truly an inspiration and thank you for the memo to call my grandparents. They are in their 80s and have been married/together 50+ years. I love the love that your grandparents still have for one another. This is THE model for companionship and marriage. You can tell they are happy because they are healthy, flirtatious, zero secrets between them yet they keep some stuff private(sacred) from others asking. They honor one another and know each other well with respect about who they are as individuals. So much more can be said. Thanks for this demo of real love.

My parents were married for 54 yrs when Mama passed and they always were kind and respectful of each other. Yes, rough patches of course but stayed together. If he made her mad, the worst that happened was she sewed the legs of his boxers then neatly folded them back.😂 They always said please, thank you, I love you. They were engaged for 2 years with no sex. I miss them so much and want everyone to know it IS possible to stay together like the older crowd, we just have to respect each other! So nice. My parents will be celebrating their 63th wedding anniversary in January 2019. They are 79 and 80 years old now. They are 17 and 18 years older than me. We will be going on a 2 week cruise this January to the Panama canal.

These bring back memories of my grandparents. Watching this reminds me of them and their own love story. Thank you so much for sharing your grandparents with the world. They truly are amazing people.

Sorry to hear about their passing. The love of my life have been married for 54 years and in a lot of ways our love mirrors what they had. Very few couples will ever know what love can do for your well being and all of the other side benefits that comes with it. Lol when this couple was young, it was virtually impossible to get divorced unless you proved adultery or cruelty. And even if you managed to prove those things, divorce was nothing short of a scandal, especially in a suburb or small town. Nevertheless, it's great that this couple "never even came close to splitting up", even during the dating stage! I only wish that more couples these days maintain such a high level of commitment.

I had a hard day today and these two made me laugh and smile! Great lesson on the importance of humor in a relationship! Also so your grandma drinking beer is my future goal!
