They absolutely should. Like having something that said "Game 1 from episode 2 is now in beta so go try and give them your feedback." or "This game has fully released and here are the in game things we promised Bald and co."

i think that would be nice but i don't think much will happen between this and the next episode.

I think that's kinda given, but it would only make sense after months or a year to show actual progress

this is a good idea maybe once a year show some of the previous games from the year before like an end of season or start of season special.

@@Keyshawn13 Dude, the Peppered dev literally only got $5 lmao, what is that if not nothing. If they went by percentage, then peppered would've gotten $1,205 and the vibes wouldn't have been weird at the end lol. Even wax heart at only 2% of the vote would've got an additional $100

​@@Keyshawn13Something is more than actually nothing. The only issue is chat's vote is at the end, it's good it's at the end because they can hear the 'judges' perspectives and reasons. The downside is that the judges already distribute their cuts if they knew what project was going to get chats cut they might have been inclined to spread out the 'charity' more. Making it percentage based alleviates the issue. However as a show, I do like the idea of a 'winner' of the episode, I say give them 1k to start, and make the rest of the 4K percentage based including the winner. Good luck to the UI people. lol

After initial fumble of Diablo 4, it has shown there’re options to compete for and given the game isn’t even the year old it might be just that. Similarly, the First dwarf came from a studio where they are able to hire ppl and have someone who’s calling themselves a CEO, that doesn’t sound indie to me anymore. And well, they’ve chosen a cute girl who’s enthusiastic about the project for this show and that was probably their biggest win. The game itself looks great, ngl, but the question is how it’ll play.

The series is more about publicity, the money makes it a bit more interesting. Even getting the full 20k wouldn't realistically fund a game or pay salaries.

Playing a short story exclusive game on stream is actually bad for business. Who will buy the game after you see most endings anyway?

@OldSchoolDudeGaming With fighting games, you don't really know what you're getting into until you get your hands on it and other thing is, game balance. Hard to call it generic and TnA based on the only female character that actually fits that description. Sure, they strategically chose that character to be their poster child, but literally none of the other chars are anything like it. Overwatch did the same shit with Tracer, but it hardly relies on TnA. If we are talking about generic, the 4th and 5th game are of a dime a dozen in the indie market, and look boring and generic af after probably playing the first couple hours.

Exactly what I felt. "Work on my game for free and you can use it as a reference for your resume." Then turns around and uses their work to make money and then eventually sell the game. IDK, maybe I am being to skeptical and theres nothing nefarious of manipulative about it.

He was upfront about it and if he is a good mentor that's a great exchange. My father is a carpenter with 30 years of experience. A kid literally pays for him (with work) to teach him and let him use his tools.

Best thing to do with his money, if I had a spare mill I would make my perfect mix of cod4, tarkov and dayZ. Fps/survivor genre could really use a good mash up.

@@jasonporter5912 I think he did a good job making the pitch that it's at least worth trying to find a Let's Play video or reaction content from someone online. I know he pitched Asmon to stream it, but I think he should have also asked for more money for advertising costs and to reach out to other streamers. I think it's something that certain people will enjoy playing, but many more will enjoy watching and talking about.

They were already funded by kickstarter last year so they don't really need the money, publicity was what they were going for getting on the show.

Actually, that happens sometimes. If you've ever watched the show, some people go on solely for exposure or teaming up with one of the sharks. In this case, Peppered potentially got both offers. Asmon is going to play it, and they even offered him a meeting with Mad Mushroom.

Sure, but this is live streamed and Shark Tank is edited. If I have understood correctly the pitch and negotiation in Shark Tank takes like an hour or so in reality and it's shortened a lot.

Maybe thats a hot take but i feel that even whole 20k $ looks like nothing comparing it to not only publicity with really big audiance of people being the target of those games (we are gamers right) and as we have seen even a chance for a real contract. Because really think about it. If You have even only 2 people (based on peppered) but still couple of months to finish/polish the game. Those dollars gona melt like crazy. Maybe if You would not pay people for their work but cmon. Who would do that right?

He made a lot of great points, and the fighting game is definitely my favorite of the bunch, but the guy needs to learn when to stop talking. There were several times in his presentation where he made me actually lose interest because I felt like he was pushing too hard for it.
