I knew that Gerry was going to pick Theresa towards the last few episodes (I can’t remember if it was after the Fantasy Suite) when Gerry asked Theresa what kind of work she did. After Theresa told him, Gerry immediately lit up. I could hear the cha-ching💰in Gerry’s head. I noticed an immediate change in Gerry after that conversation and his changed attitude towards Leslie. Prior to Gerry’s conversation with Theresa, it appeared that Gerry was more interested in Leslie. Also, I thought that the winner was to move to Gerry’s hometown/state. Now he’s relocating to Theresa’s hometown 🤔.

There is a BIG difference there. NOW, if she mixes her huge sum up with Gerry's paltry amount, and then they get divorced, he may end up with a LOT more than what he put in. I am on a fb group for the Golden Bachelor, and it was written there that the last two women left on the show get to choose a dress by a designer, but they don't buy it. So, Leslie did not have to buy it, but she did want to wear it. I think in her emotional moment she said she bought it, but she did not. I think she has to give it back. Don't know for sure. I agree with all you said. Theresa just sat there on two interviews and looked at Gerry when he told the interviewer he did not want to discuss the article just wanted to move on. Of course, he does. Being smart in business doesn't make someone smart when it comes to love. I just wish Leslie had revealed the words he told her in the Fantasy Suite during the finale. Now that would have gotten unbelievable ratings! If Theresa's children are smart, they will force the issue of a prenup on Theresa. Gerry might even refuse to marry her if she insists on a prenup. I think Theresa is too starry-eyed to think about cutting off her finances to him. She desperately doesn't want to be alone anymore. I am 75 and I would never be that desperate, not even if the guy was a millionaire.

Gerry had a right to choose any of those women based on the info he received. They knew that going into this show. He was kissing and making quite a few of them believe they had a chance. Gary told Theresa that she was the one that he could not live without. When you cannot see yourself living within a person, you will do whatever it takes to be with that person. Here is my theory, if there is a Golden B for females, it will be Theresa, I really do not see her marrying this dude. The franchise has lied to everyone. Theresa is very savy and will not marry him. I noticed Leslie has a good life off the dime of ex-husbands, and Theresa is stable with her own money. Theresa became more attractive to Gerry once he learned what she did for a living.That dude needs help with maintaining his things and Leslie could not do that. I believe that is why they have not announced a female version yet. They want to see if this marriage will take place. It won't. Also know Gerry's type, he is good looking and i believe he had many affairs on his wife Toni. He talked about Theresa knowing how to nurture a marriage, yeah forgive a cheater. I had never watched a bachelor show until The Golden Bachelor. Being 62 and a recent widow, I was interested in watching people my age who were going through widowhood as well. I was surprised that the last step in the choosing process is sleeping with the last 2 candidates. So he slept with Leslie first and then Theresa. What a man says to a date in the heat of passion cannot usually be trusted. I wish I had been a Christian in my youth and understood that because I would have avoided pain and confusion. As a believer, I now understand the spiritual and emotional damage caused by casual dating (and negative soul ties). Maybe Leslie even thought he would tell Theresa that he wasn't going to sleep with her because he was too in love with Leslie. She should have been open and told him that it would hurt her if he slept with Theresa knowing that they were going to "start a life together" and watch his reaction. If he couldn't give that up, he wasn't as committed as she wanted to believe. Good riddance.

If you google the net worth of Theresa, it's between $500,000 and 1 million, Leslie has more money from other ventures than just fitness coaching, she's estimated at the same amount as Theresa and Jerry is estimated at 1.5 million, more than both of them. You can't make assumptions based on limited information that comes out on the show, I know people with money who work at what interests them regardless of how much it brings in, after they they have their finances in place. Apparently both Jerry and Leslie have done this. As for his eyes lighting up upon hearing Theresa's possible finances, I didn't get that. I saw him surprised that this gentle soul was in a male dominated, competitive enterprise and quite successful at it. Doesn't excuse Jerry's inaccurate past history claims or telling multiple women he loved them or leading them to believe they would be the one, but be careful of slamming him (or anyone!) based on assumption and opinion.

We all saw Garry's 360 degree turn during the overnight. It "might" have shocked him: but we saw it coming. Being all caught up in the physical with Leslie; but Theresa showed him that she could do all that and more, keep him intellectually stimulated also 😅

Theresa can get a prenup and keep her assets in a trust in her name. I think Theresa is a pretty smart lady and there is value in having a companion to spend your time with in your older years. Gerry probably has some financial issues due to buying this 'dream house' with his wife and then she died unexpectedly (loss of 2nd income and possibly all savings due to unexpected large hospital and funeral bills). He may have also been enticed by a payday from being the golden bachelor. In my experience men of an older age are not always financially saavy or able to cope with changing times. I know 3 men (2 uncles and my father in law) who were pushed into early retirement due to lack of ability to keep up with technology and other workplace issues. Things are not always easy on the older male generation who are not tech saavy or have strong 'recession proof' careers.
