In this video, we performed a rigorous pole barn steel test to assess the durability and resilience of the steel used by three prominent companies: Morton Buildings, Menards, and FBi Buildings. We subjected the steel to three distinct tests to evaluate its capacity to withstand various forms of testing. The three tests included were the screw tear test, the drop dent test, and the shotgun test. Through these evaluations, we aimed to compare and determine the overall performance of the steel from each manufacturer under demanding conditions.
*Disclaimer: After editing the video, we realized that there was an error at the 4:40 mark. The steel from Menards was 28 gauge, and we verbalized it as 29 gauge.
Update: After publishing the video, we realized that there was an error at the 2:21 mark. The drop dent test with the Morton steel was incorrect. The new footage has been replaced.
