Vecko fix roof. Here in Greece all German cars like BMW's and Opel have this problem with the roof . I think i happens from the hot temperature. Also don't worry. The risk is small to make problem and the price is good . My advice for the new engine is.. before go on a trackday tune a little bit some things in engine with good quality brands. Like Tom's or something else. I know it cost a lot but if you do it the risk of break down the engine is less. So before you go on a trackday you will need some things like racing shock absorbers, good tires, anti roll bars and stuff like this but don't put aftermarket. I think its better to buy something little more expensive and don't put something aftermarket. For more informations speak with your mechanic. If you tune it do not exceed 300 or 350 because the car does not need them.Mainly wants better grip and brakes. I love your car and I want it on the road .
First you dont change the engine, change your mechanic. Second, find yout what exactly is wrong. If it's just a spun bearing, you can fix it yourself in an hour without taking the engine out.
you with your dangerous half-knowledge should rather shut up, the mechanic is right and anyone who knows about cars would say the same thing, you can hear that from 100 km away that it's a bearing damage, the engine has to come out.
I want my next car toyota corolla T sport here in UK, I currently have 2002 1.4 petrol Tsprit model due to insurance being for me I couldget get the t sport model.
Strangely enough, there is no check engine light. Its almost exactly like the problem i had with my Toyota Avensis 1.8 2005 a year ago which has a 1zz-fe engine (predecessor of the 2zz-ge) It used to make the exact same noise and i was noticing a huge lack in power output. My engine had a problem with one of the cylinders so it could be the same for you (Coz these engines have the same block). In the end i went to a TOYOTA dealership and gave them the car asking for an engine rebuild and now im good again, (although it was quite pricey).
@@gunikx I dont remember exactly as its been quite a long time since then, however it depends on the amount of damage done to the internals of the engine, the cost of the parts that need to be replaced and how easy the engine is to work on. Of course fixing such problem will come more expensive if you give it to branded mechanics such as toyota's. Sorry i couldnt answer your question.
No the problem is a crankshaft bearings, and guys at the service told me its mot worrh fixing because total fix cost will be the cost of the whole value of the car
@@VuckoHD but why this mate? How much kilometers have the engine? This damage is because the oil pan have not oil in race? Or overheating? Greetings from grecce vucko!!
@@DimoS... Im 99% sure its because of badly designed oil pan, it wasnt empty but badly designed that in sharp turns the oil moves to sides, so much that it didn't reach oil pump. Greetings from Serbia!
