75 is the Large Stockman. I have a 6375, amber bone Large Stockman with CS blades. That large stockman will fit in the bottom of my Jean pocket, perfectly.
The 75 pattern large stockman is one of my two favorite patterns from Case the other being the 65 pattern folding hunter. I think the large stockman is the most useful pattern you can carry.
You are right on the money. The large Stockman is a great knife for those who use their knives. It's just the right size to take on pretty much any job you'd need a knife for. The selection of blades makes it very versatile. That micarta sure looks nice.
@@georgia_adventurer new follower . Love the channel . At 47 years old I have really just started collecting case knives , especially the past year . I just purchased this knife tonight on count of seeing yours . Just had to have it ! Lol . On a side note I noticed you are a Mason . I’m kinda late in the game but just got my petition for the Gadsden , Alabama lodge . Having to wait , they are merging with another local town . Take care
Love that stockman!! Very nice! I don't own any knives with micarta scales. I'm going to have to try those out! Thanks so much for the shoutout! That means a lot to mean Randy!!! God bless, my friend!
Great video! Love your stockman and the fact that you’re wife bought it for you is even better! I’ve been looking at the new 2023 folding hunter and I have a birthday coming up.🤔 just might ask my wife to buy it for me for my birthday 😊
Well, you have had an influence on me. I have had the 75 pattern on my mind for a while and you helped me decide to finally get one. You know I have the sickness because I just ordered it and I’m already thinking about getting another. Thanks for helping me make up my mind!
I collect large and jumbo stockman and my amber bone CV #75 is my favorite go to. Beautiful knife and very practical for most jobs you would ever need it for.
Love seeing mature gentleman review Case knives. Sorry but when I see young kids (20's, lol) these knives, they have idea what they're used for. I've been eyeing those Case LG Stockmans. I carry a smaller Buck Stockman and like it very much. Hmmm, maybe the Christmas I'll hint to my wife the LG Case Stockman 👍 Thanks for the review
Very nice knife, I really like that one. I too like the brushed bolsters and the blades. I would like to see the tan and green micarta ones. Have a good one, see ya on the next one.
That's a nice stockman. There is nothing like carrying a knife that was gifted to you by a loved one. I'm like you in not being a big fan of a mirror finish on my knife. I usually hit it with some 400 grit sandpaper and bring the mirror finish down to a satin finish. Take care.
I think that is a nice looking case knife. I have a medium stockman and a sowbelly stockman from case but not a large stockman. I may have to put that on the list to get later on. Thanks for the video.
Yes I agree 100% I rather not have the shiny blades and bolsters….. thanks so much you probably have a great collection I can just tell!!!!! My preference is one size down I like the 3/7/8 stockmans that’s in my happy spot……. Thanks again 😊
I have a couple Case Large Stockman that are too fancy to use so I’m looking to collect some more both collectible and users I have Micarta in other Patterns so I’m looking at those and Yellow and White Delrin I would also like to get a Bonestag and one of those deep green ones I’m from Michigan but I’m really digging your videos man Thanks
That's a beautiful day you had the day you made this video. How does the Micarta hold up to scratches? Do you need to carry them in a slip to keep the Micarta from being damaged? I'd be more likely to get the medium sized one. I know they make that style in the 3- 1/4" size. God Bless.
My 6375 has 1095 carbon steel blades. However the springs are SS, which sucks. It would be a lot easier to open if it had 1095 springs. It is still easier to open than Old Timers, especially when new.
Do you have any problems out of them with blade rubbing? I ordered my first large stockman and has really bad blade rubbing I’m even considering returning it back to Case
I guess everyone has their preference, and it depends on the task, I worked in a place that didn't like big knives like trappers to open boxes and stock shelves around customers, but they were ok with med stockmans with the sheepsfoot blade and kept in your apron other wise they wanted you to use a box cutter ...but there is no class in using those ugly things, I bought a knife I wanta use it.
