Fantastic news on all fronts! I just had the Da Vinci Robotic Prostactectomy 10 days ago and am experiencing some incontinence although not too badly. Your videos early on as I was researching this procedure really helped me quite a lot so thank you, thank, thank you! I too have played in a few worship bands over the last 30 years and so it's nice to connect with like minded people who also have undergone the same procedures. Would love to stay in touch somehow. Blessings to you Russ!

Thank you so much for the information. I had my RP (open) back in February 2020 and viewed your posts both pre and post op. I found them not only informative but reassuring. Trust you are still doing well.

Very interesting for those who are thinking of an RP procedure. Too late for me as I have already gone through the surgery with normal nerve sparing. Still a little incontinent but bearable after 5 months. Thanks very much for the post.

Wow. That's excellent. I wish I could've waited a few months but I didn't have the luxury of waiting any longer. Wound up getting the De Vinci robotic pros two months ago at Georgetown Medstar in DC. All in all, for two months post op, things are very good so I am not complaining at all....just always nice to have the best. Great news for those who'll need it in the future. Thanks so much for posting.

Thanks for letting us know about this Robotic Retzius method. I will speak of it to my doctor when I go in for the operation. I may help others in the future but for me, I don't think so. Maybe too new to learn.

Thanks for these videos, they are extremely valuable to anyone dealing with this disease. Thanks to your video, I contacted Dr. Kowalczyk and had the Retzius procedure performed by him just over a week ago at Georgetown. Catheter came out two days ago, and I am beyond pleasantly surprised by the outcomes. Pretty close to zero issues with incontinence from day 1. I've had a few drops here or there but that is it. It almost seems too good to be true, I hope it continues. Thanks again.

I too had Dr K in Gtown. I started to regain continence about 10 days out of cath. It just stopped one day. Still a squirt here and there when I move funny but aside from that great.

@@drummeruss Regarding sexual function: No more semen ejaculation, but pleasure pulses at climax are still felt, right?

So glad you posted these videos. My husband is scheduled for this surgery in just a few days. Wish we could wait for this procedure. I am really concerned regarding my husband's cancer, getting continence and function back. Very nervous. We are both feeling really alone thru this. Your videos have helped, would it be possible contact you privately?

I’m 3 weeks post DaVinci w/Dr Jos Wagner at Hartford Hospital. I seem to have turned a corner but continence is an issue. Wish I been aware of this option a month ago...I might have considered that approach, even if included travel to GW. Thanks for sharing.

Wagner did my surgery as well, I have some minor drips now and then and wear a men's depends shield just in case, you don't know you are wearing it. I would have been interested in this method as well. Hope you heal 100%, healing continues for two years!

I just heard about this procedure during my daily researching. It is done near me by one urologist. I am going look into it. He's in Weston Florida at the Cleveland clinic. Dr Peretti.😅

Thank you for your videos. I am sending to a good friend who is about to start radiation. I want him to consider options from men who actually have gone through this, and not from doctors themselves who make a profit from certain procedures.

Interesting news. I don’t think this is performed in UK but I will ask my surgeon of it. Nothing to lose.. Fantastic shirt by the way.

Possibly after the event, but yes it is available in the UK. I had my surgery with Prof Eden at Royal Surrey County Hospital I Guildford. Another benefit is that you have a supra-pubic catheter rather than a urethral one.

Too late for us, We've already had a radical robotical Prostindectomy! Either way I don't think I would have went that route having to go through the uretha! Wearing the Foley Cathader was traumatic enough! But I do want to know what is your take on all that Saw Palmetto that we took before surgery? Is it useless now? Would you continue to take it?

My understanding is that cryosurgical removal of the prostate preserves continence as both of the sphincters are left in place. With radical protectomy, one of the 2 sphincters is removed. However I am not certain about its ability or preserve erection ability. It may damage some nerves, I'm not sure. Thus to have an erection you may need an implant. There is also the option of some kind of ultrasound ablation of the prostate that I know very little about.
