THANK YOU!!! Thanks for sharing your adventures like you do. We just picked up 39 acres, a CK3510, and camped on our land for the first time this past weekend. I truly appreciate your channel. Keep em coming! You have helped me and inspired me.
Really well done clearing the ground of leaves and debris and then camping and cooking up all that perfect FOOD. You are a lovely husband and friend . Take Care
Looks like the perfect setup there Adam. Weather your 2 minutes away or 2 hours away, camping is a great family activity, and being so close to home is even better. I raised my 3 sons camping and enjoying the outdoors, and let me tell you, a family that plays together stays together. Keep up the good work, looks like you've got this fathering thing off to a good start. Oh, by the way, great vids. Thanks
Got to get them started young we got are 4 grandkids started early 3 of them still like camping the oldest want to live in the city when he gets out of school don't understand why. We haven't even had the chance to go camping yet this year but maybe next month. You definitely have a nice set-up.
Hey Nicely done.. Been watching for some time now so I will subscribe now.. My wife and I built our firepit 3 years ago and its been awsom.. Cook outs frends coming over just to get out of the city ect.. I am 30min away from downtown Tacoma so far enough to be away from all the city noise..
Adam, looks like a little slice of heaven back there. I’m in complete agreement.....there’s no need not to eat well while camping. Here’s to many more great weekends back at the site. You’ll need to come up with a name for the place. Stay safe
Nothing like backyard camping. Beats paying 30$ per night to sleep outside. I’m impressed you can get this done with a 5 month old kid. It took me till kids were about 4 years old to really get back outside and make a change in the woods
Great video. I'm 74+ and I'd like to make some suggestions, if I may. First and foremost, as a matter of safety, I'd construct some kind of safety barrier along that cliff. In the dark, people get disoriented, especially if alcohol is involved. It wouldn't have to be much, Just something that would stop someone from falling over the edge. It would be one of those things that would ruin future camping. Some old fencing would be great. Put that great IN the fire. The rust will disappear very quickly, and you can cook directly off of it. Afterwards, oil it up Good with some old lard or something to keep it from rusting so much. Just clean in fire before each use. We used to cook over open fire all the time, unless raining. That includes during deer season. I haven't been for couple years now. Health concerns. But I think about being in the timber n camping, all the time. Enjoy your time in the woods n just be safe.
Might want to get AJ into rappelling so he gets quite acquainted with that ravine. Or maybe a log guard rail . Great campground, I used to like camping, now I require a little more comfort. Haha , spend your life wrestling those logs and you’ll see . As my mom used to say getting old ain’t for sissies!
Nothin better than letting the sun and birds wake you up in the morning and make some Percolated coffee over an open fire. We did have an air matress set up in the tent so we didn’t go without comfort haha
New to your channel - great video!! I've gone camping many times but the site always had electricity and toilets (they were campsite). Looking to do something similar w/some land, but crazy/stupid question, have you or do u intend to install electricity/water lines on ur property? If not, why not?
We are thinking about purchasing land for our RV we've been trying to research it we was told that you need to file for a permit to put a RV on your private land then some people says you don't need it for private land ?
I found a place on 800 acres of my family's dairy farm that is on the crest of a good 400 foot cliffside and hemmed in with false valleys and dead heads so nobody even passes through. It overlooks the whole valley and the river but it's so inaccessible that it's never been timbered in modern times so it's more of a national park feel than PA woodlands. The old growth is so big there's no brush and just tufts of ferns and wildflowers. I've built a lot of sites but this is the one and I don't wanna make it look worse. I've gotta get an old canvas tent that sleeps 2 cots on 4 pallets like at boy scout camp and a stone fire ring. Just have to find the tent. Other than that, any pointers?
Passing laws left and right to stop people from camping on their own land , forcing peopleto camp in goverment approved only ......camgrounds ! You can store a camper on your own land but NOT camp or live in it !
