Good in depth look. I got a ttx 300 with my smt10 and it's miles better than even my dx2e I used in my hyper St. It's probably the best radio I've had! I just wish they made a mid range one with model memory and a screen, so I could use it on all my rc's.
I know Im randomly asking but does anybody know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly lost my password. I love any tips you can give me
@Ridge Camden Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm trying it out now. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Spot on about the slack in the cables. I had my granite and typhon both wedge into the driveshaft crease and melt down the wire casing and some wire threads. Both of my cars within the first two runs. Had them shortened.
The body goes on over the capacitors. You just need some positive visualization. If you have more than 12 inches of wire between ESC and battery it is always advisable to shorten leads or add a set of capacitors. Replace the shocks with some 6s talon shocks and send it. This thing begs for abuse. It loves it. If you use good batteries it will have a tendency to shred tires at full throttle. Have fun
My granite BLX 4x4 brushless that I bought about 2 months ago came with the TTX300 3-CH radio. But now, from what I've seen at the LHS and online they've changed that to the spectrum cheap radio. It's almost impossible to find a new 3s Arrma rig with the ttx300 anymore. Bummer. Subscribed.
Hi there, Awesome review... I just literally purchase one... I have one question... I have a bunch of Traxxas batteries and I would like to use them for this model. Can you share a link for an adapter? Thanks again.
This is a awesome buggy. I just ordered one. I was at the LHS and saw the 6s version. It's heavy. I went with this one cause I thought it would suit me better and the packs will fit in my other vehicles I have. Can't wait to get it. I love the spoke wheels too.
You must have gotten one of the last 2019 ones with the Tactic system. I searched high and low and nowhere can I find one that doesnt have the garbage Spektrum radio. And my Notorious also came with the Spektrum so I bought a Tactic TTX300 from ebay and installed it.
Great unboxing video.. you covered everything perfectly.. My biggest complaint with this vehicle is the placement of the cap pack on the esc..It makes it hard to put the body clip in the post.. I've had mine for 3 weeks now and that cap pack has started to run threw my body and also the cap pack is all dented in from banging against the top of the servo... I contacted Horizon and am waiting to see what they want to do about it... They are looking into it..
I came up a solution for the Cap pack thing it works for me personally I posted it on the Arrma forums. www.arrmaforum.com/threads/2019-arrma-typhon-3s-v2-w-ic5-connector-unboxing-video.12856/
little frustrated with the assembly of mine. someone mounted the turnbuckles and coud make the wheel even close to straight? make me wonder on the QC of Arrma
I ordered mine a few days ago cuz amain actually had them back in stock.I think $299 was a steal and couldn’t pass it up.This will be my first Arma vehicle :) I’m thinking about taking out the crappy stock radio and replacing it with radiolink reciever for my rc4gs
Have you swapped out the radio yet? The Tactic that this one came with is good stuff, but the Spektrum that the newer ones come with are definitely crappy. Radiolink is great!
I love mine but arma did get me mad. A badly stripped screw on clutch cover. I had to take it to a shop to remove it. Free but i had to drive a ways. Bad arma lol. I saw a video that said the oem motor bearings are not sealed and ruin the motor real quick, like 5 or so uses. Mine are sealed high quality bearings, totally clean and flawless. Its a v3 so maybe arma got wise finally
I too have had some issues with a few new Arrma's, but luckily they were easy fixes, right from my own garage. Sorry to hear that a shop had to step in on a new RC of yours, but glad it's fixed...and those sealed bearings will last you a long time! Thanks!
So all the 3s blx Arrma trucks like the granite has the IC5 connecter too? Where did you get the bearing for the plastic bushings? Can you show me the parts to upgrade the steering for 3s blx Arrmas for smoother action?
Yes, typically with cars like this, they do not include the battery. But there's a lot of cars that come direct from Asia that do include a battery; not the best quality, but it is included.
True, All of the 3S cars by Arrma have a ton of overlap, with a few things here and there (plus body) changing to create the different models....yet we keep buying them LOL!
