Me too- 50 as well - but i am HORRIFIED of photos. I think there is a freakish reaction to what we think we look like in our minds and what a photo shows. Its some weird psychological thing i am sure. But we are not monsters!! We are just humans who age and live in a technological time. This is what i remind myself when someone says “cmon and get in this picture” at least, and you are a gorgeous human- im sure inside and out. Thank you for the video! 👍🧡👍🧡

Teni, I turned 50 this year. we are all getting old. it’s the big realization that you have lived more years than you have left. Don’t get too hung up on your looks. You are more than that. Enjoy what you have: your family, friends, but most of all be thankful for your health. Who cares if your jawline is not as sharp as it used to be, or that you gained 15 pounds?,. Glad you're 'challenging' yourself to work through those feelings. Aging brings us to different stages and we learn to adapt. I turned 50 and I can't believe it. It’s hard to put yourself out there. But you have a whole community supporting you and looking up on you. You can choose to still post and upload videos on the days when you feel less attractive and a lot of women will follow ❤️ there’s nothing more liberating than accepting yourself at every step of your journey, physically, emotionally and mentally. Life changes and with it, so do we. Change is beautiful, and accepting is transformative. You were and are just as beautiful, 15 pounds more or less. Also, I really like the fuller face, as we age sometimes a little more meat on the cheeks is very flattering lol. Love yourself girl, you are worth it and you deserve it ❤

Tani! I been watching your videos for years. I know that what we see in the mirror sometimes does not reflect the reality…. Because girl you look just as beautiful as before. To me there is no difference. As we age we gain a bit of weight and that’s normal, honestly I feel that you look healthier. Society places so much pressure on women to look a particular way… and at some point in our lives it gets to us. I pray that you become stronger mentally and emotionally to get pass this darker phase. You are beautiful and loved.

Teni, you are beautiful as you used to be. I was watching your videos 10 years ago. We are all getting older, and I also see that my face and body are changing. (Now I see how beautiful I was few years ago before my disease has come) But I have to tell you that last year I survived cancer and you can't imagine what chemotherapy did to me, to my body (I lost an ovary, and can't have baby) to my skin, my hair, but I am alive and happy with my husband. So now when I am almost 39 I can say that I finally live my life ❤ So be happy and healthy and enjoy your life. So stay here with us! ❤

I totally feel you on not recognizing the changes that come along with aging. I’ve been following you since the balm Marilou manizer😂 Back then there were very few beauty content creators with darker features and hair that looked like me. You help me feel included. Im saying this as a reminder that We are never alone in any journey. There are plenty of women and men aging with you and feeling what you are feeling. We can support and grow from this and maybe learn a few tricks on how to modify doing our makeup as we age. Teni! I’ve loved watching you for over 10 years! I’ve missed YOU on RU-vid and have been wondering why you stopped posting. I enjoyed learning about makeup from you, due to me being neutral toned as well! There was a time where neutral olive toned makeup didn’t exist and you were one of the few that openly talked about being green! Please continue to post doing what you love and just know there are people out there who love you! PS: I still use Betty Lou manizer and it’s my HG!

i’ve felt the same way as you with posting pics. i’ve caught myself staring @ a selfie for too long then it starts to look different & I delete it! it’s horrible but i’m here for you Teni!❤

such a strange feeling! I think because we're the first generation to grow and age on social media, all of our photos throughout the years are right there for us to see, ripe for the comparison. 🤣 it's ok to have these feelings, but I'm trying to be compassionate with myself and I hope you are too!
