My best wedding planning advice is that if you wait until life slows down, it’ll never happen! Life is always busy, once one things finishes you fill it with something else. You will enjoy it because it’s your wedding. Take your time, but I wouldn’t keep putting it off because you are busy. Just my two cents 🙂
Agreed, life is definitely always busy especially they are both super busy people and always traveling but their lives probably won’t calm down so i think u guys should just start planning and looking at venues and u will be able to enjoy the planning process while still doing other things!!
that's true!! but for them, they are young, already living like a married couple, and are probably only owning more every year.. so I understand why they wouldn't be in a rush

just got married last June, we only gave 'plus ones' to guests who were in a serious relationship which saved a lot of money on food and table space! our Q+A page on our wedding website explained that guests could only bring a date if it was said on the invite, and if not, they could ask us for a plus one if they had a special someone, and we only ended u getting one request for a 'plus one'.

You two are so cute together!! You can always do a destination wedding (ie. Dominican Republic) and pay a few thousand for them to set up the whole wedding day for you. Invite the people that you're closest to....only thing is they would have to pay for their own flights & hotel stay. Some people even have their weddings on cruise ships or at one of the destinations that the cruise ship stops at. So many options!! Have fun planning your dream wedding!!
do your own vows and read them at the ceremony! we had an outline we both followed, and had our wedding planner read them beforehand to make sure they matched up! was soooo fun!
I’m with Dylan on the goin to weddings alone; I’ve seen manyyyy rom coms that start that way. You could meet a venue worker, and venue owner, photographers, other single guests etc.
Do what works for you both! My husband and I decided to write personal vows to read to each other in private, and we did formal vows (like recite this after me) during our ceremony.
I have been here since y'all were on paradise! Y'all are so cute! It is normal to go to a wedding alone/single because I've been to a wedding by myself.

Trust me, everything you say you are going to do will go right out the window.😂 My husband and I thought we knew the kind of parents we were going to be. I thought I was going to be the soft parent and he was going to be the strict. Well our roles completely reversed. I was the one who disciplined and he let them do anything. But the balance worked because they grew up so well behaved and respectful to everyone.

Yea I thought that as well, I thought their big update back in January was wedding updates, but it was moving. I think with moving they were busy and then they go away a ton but hopefully they block out a time slot soon to go look at venues, they’re my favorite couple and I know they filmed this a few weeks back so maybe they have picked a timeframe to go look at venues within the next month or two, because I have seen a lot of articles saying spring of next year they want to have the wedding, which is super exciting!! Hannah I am not sure if you read the comments but please let us know if you guys have a timeframe of when you guys will plan a lot and look at venues, that would make us all so excited xoxo🤍🤍
Hannah, I side with you in that Dylan and you should take a look at the guest list and make decisions on the "plus one" based on individuals not a sweeping general rule for all people. You know your guests and whether they'll feel comfortable attending alone, those that will be traveling and would like a companion, the introverted co-worker that won't be a social butterfly, the person recently divorced, or widowed, that would like to bring their son or daughter as a companion....I think meeting people where they're at is a good way to approach the tricky guest list. My 70 year old mother is a widow and very introverted. She's constantly invited to weddings without the option of a plus one and she's upset each time because she doesn't want to drive late at night or attend a wedding alone (I'd be her plus one). Also, Dylan says those in a "serious relationship" are given the "plus one" invite. But what defines a serious relationship? Most would say the amount of time but we all know that people can be together for a very short amount of time and feel deeply connected (you and Dylan certainly did!) and others who have been together for years but their relationship is on rocky grounds. The last wedding I attended for my close cousin and his bride, I brought my boyfriend of 3 years, but our relationship was extremely tumultuous. He actually ended up leaving me the night of the wedding. And now, my cousin and his wife have a bunch of wedding photos (including a family photo) with an ex-boyfriend of mine that people would soon rather forget. I've gone to plenty of weddings alone! Depends on the person thought. I do not have an issue walking into a room full of strangers but some people would. I think its a case by case basis!
Coming from someone that just got married….. we had coworkers or friends come by themselves! Our other guests made them feel welcomed into the party also and they walked out of the wedding weekend with so many great memories with new friends!
I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WITH DRIVING ANXIETY! I never used to have anxiety while driving, but now that I have more anxiety in my life, driving scares the crap out of me
My advice is to start planning and looking at venues when you guys want to, but if you guys still want it to be next year you will have to sacrifice some of your trips and events for planning. Your lives will not calm down, you guys are always on the go, so it is important to be able to make time for wedding planning, I don’t think it will just appear out of no where. I think you guys should look sooner than later for venues, especially looking in Cali, you guys live in Cali. I thought you guys already looked at locations back at the end of last year because you guys really seemed to be planning so I was shocked about this. I think you guys should start looking at venues as soon as you can, because once you decide on a venue, you don’t have to physically be “in person” to pick a ton of the internal stuff and you guys should make time to look at plan because it won’t just come out of no where, and I am saying this from someone who knows many people who got married recently/ are getting married soon and who had to make time and make it a priority to wedding plan. I thought back in december when you guys were like “very soon” in your vlog it seemed to be a priority and now it is months later and now you guys are even looking for time when to look at these venues so my advice is to plan out a time within these next few weeks even if it’s just not going on that weekend trip or not going to an event and going to see locations in Cali, I saw an article that dylan said you guys were looking in SD and Santa Barbara, you guys live in SD, and take a weekend trip to Santa Barbara to look, because if you guys still want it to be next spring/ early summer it is important to look now and I think once you guys look at locations and decide on a date/ location it will motivate you guys to plan a ton and you guys will be able to be involved in the process even while being busy, you just need to make time to look at venues and that should be a priority over a random trip/ event if you guys want it to be next year at this time!! life doesn’t calm down and I get it you guys have a ton of stuff going on but you told us in december very soon and that made a lot of us excited and now it’s may🥺 love you guys!! hoping you guys take this advice and I hope since you guys have filmed this you have planned out a time within the next few weeks to look at venues 💓
not ALONE alone but yes single lol. Like I’ve gone with a group of 5 friends from work and none of us got a plus one but we all went together and sat at a table so it was fine. But if I was the ONLY work friend invited and knew 0 people but the bride I would not go unless I had a plus 1.
LOL i have gone to SO many weddings alone. I am single, and usually have friends of mine at my table, but I also once went to a wedding where I only knew 2 other people but since I was a bridesmaid I sat at a bridesmaid table where i knew no one

Definitely not normal to get to a wedding alone if you dont know anyone there! I personally would never go if I was I was invited by myself, unless its a wedding where I would know a lot of people already (like family for example).
Maybe I’m an introvert with lack of a lot of friends and I’m in a serious relationship in my 20s but I would hate to go to a wedding if I knew no one. Not saying I wouldn’t go just saying I would hate it. Y’all are paying. Do what works for your budget
i went to a wedding by myself a few weeks after i broke up with my bf of over a year and it was THE MOST FUN EVER!!!!!! i also felt like a boss ass bitch showing up completely by myself and being able to still have a blast. it was awesome
