Your old LaTeX videos were helping me getting through my B.Sc. thesis. Seeing this notification pop up now has brought a huge smile to my face. Thank you so much for all of this, I personally will always be very grateful!
Finally someone who explains the different softwares ... for someone starting this can be very confusing. Also your vice and pace is just on point! Thanks!
Great! It has been ages since I learn LaTeX due your 'old' tutorials. Now this is becoming better. I'll be waiting for the next. I already watch this and feel glad to realize that I'm not a beginner anymore.
This was so well done. I usually don’t have patience for videos over about 10-15 minutes, but this 30+ minutes flew by. The pacing was just right-not too slow and not too fast. It was great to see the mistakes and how to correct them.
I am in my junior year of engineering school right now, This tutorial is one of the best beginner tutorials I have seen so far, for any subject. Thanks a lot.
I have gone through quite a few videos on this subject as a desperate beginner. I personally found you not only as the super gifted teacher that you are, but more importantly a wonderful gift to humanity. Thank you and God bless you.
Omg! I just finished watching ur old LaTeX tutorials a few days ago. It really helped my since I need to write a math paper next term. I can’t believe you updated new and more detailed tutorials these days! I’m definitely gonna watch these to strengthen my understanding of LaTeX xD
Fantastic production, right to the point, extremely useful Not only for LaTeX but for those who want to learn how to make a tutorial video So much appreciated, thank you
Great to see the updated videos! I enjoy your old LaTeX video and they actually got me started doing assignments and writing papers using LaTeX. As a Physics undergrad, LaTeX is very great.
Thanks for the great tutorials so far. I'm studying philosophy. So for me quotations and the list of references are the most important things to do. It would be so amazing to see a detailed tutorial(s) for those, too.
Hey Michelle! Just wanted to thank you for these excellent tutorials. I learned how to use LaTeX with your videos, and within an hour i was able to start writing my papers in LaTeX.
I will be starting my graduate studies soon and in the time in between I am going through these videos. You have an amazing voice and these lectures are by far the best I found on the internet. Thank you so much for uploading them!
Nice and detailed explanations with proper time managements. And also the pace of video is neither very slow to become bore and fast to not understand anything. Best LaTeX tutorials available on RU-vid. Thank you madam.
Great video tutorial! I've been watching your videos for the last 3 days, and just finished all the series - all are great - but I find this 'updated' video tut better: 1) the text is bigger and easier on the eyes, 2) you touch on the online 'overleaf' option, and 3) you have now cleaner better 'wide-screen' video with better audio. Keep up the great work!
Dear Michelle, Your video series on LaTeX is wonderful. I have been floundering around and learning bits and pieces from google searches and reading through multiple documentation and here you have everything organized for a LaTeX beginner. I like your style of presentation as well. These videos have been very helpful and a constant reference to me when I am preparing my documents before I dive into the maze called Google :) Would you consider making a video on how you make and edit these videos? Thanks a lot.
Michelle thank you very much, I tried all resources but this one is best. It's helping me a lot doing my masters. Thanks a lot !!!!!. Would appreciate more content.
Excellent tutorial. I didn't know anything about LaTeX but now I am ready to try it out. One small point - you didnt actually cover "SavingYour Files" you just closed the window and went to the Folder.
@16:35 - To get to the same screen as the preferences on the MAC you can do the below. On Windows click "Ctrl+," or got to "Options" then "Configure Texmaker"
Your videos are so informative, I really learnt using Latex with you. I would really appreciate if you could pleas guide me. I am doing a report, it has 6 large sections. I have a main table of content 9no problem) but I need separate table of content before the section begins.
I studied your old videos some time ago and was pleasantly surprised to find an updated version today. Your detailed explanations are simply fantastic and have made me truly fall in love with LaTeX! By the way, I'm from China, RU-vid is not a service we provide here, I wonder if I can republish your video to the video site "bilibili.com" here, I'll tag your name and your RU-vid page. Thank you very much!
Hi, thanks for these excellent tutorials. Just curious, would you be able to do a tutorial for Plos One, Elsevier, Springer Nature, and Science Direct submission using their template. Thanks, and appreciate your great work!
Hello! Do you have a video on creating columns for math problems? I'm looking to create something similar to the way you have your summer math packets set up. I would like to have around 3 to 6 problems on each row. If you're taking viewer requests, I would love to see you create your assignments using LaTeX.
Hi Michelle. Great tutorials! For an assigment I have some specific questions about LaTeX and using it with other software. Di I ask the questions overhere or is there another channel where I can contact you? thx.
I used LateX for my university Thesys I forgot almost about it, I think I will introduce it back in office also, Word was, is and will be disappointing in terms of results. Or not
I'm a physics student...I'm having real troubles to draw diagrams...I would be really helpful if you upload something on creating professional diagrams using LaTex.
@@somasarkar3456 first of all you have to write \usepackage[pstarrows]{xpicture} at the beginning of the preamble. But before that tell me whether you are using Miktex in Windows or something else?
Thank you Michelle. This is a great help. Following your first step to compile, I get this message (restricted /writer18 enabled) and do not get anything in the Pdf Viewer. Will appreciate your help (or anyone else seeing this message). I have tried online, without any success to find a solution. Thanks in advance.
I haven't seen that before. You could try posting your question on the TeX Stack Exchange: tex.stackexchange.com/. The community is a wonderful resource!
