Hello!!!
In this video (recorded on October 16, 2021), I show you my updated moisture routine.
I am currently doing the L.C.O (Leave-in, Oil, Cream) method and it’s been doing wonders for my hair.
My hair is low porosity and it typically likes the L.O.C method but also likes it when I switch things up :)
Also, I have my hair in protective styles most of the time, so I don’t do this on a daily basis.
What’s your moisture routine? Which method do you prefer?

If you’re here because you’re thinking about the big chop, and wanted to see her progress- YOU’RE not the only one lol. I loveeeeee you hair, and the texture of your hair 😭 I am soo scared of doing the big chop but, but your progress has given me a little bit more ease. If I do it, I’ll keep you posted.

I use that type of brush on my daughter’s hair. Using it with Shea Moisture Leave- in (the blue one with yogurt in it) has made her hair easier to detangle.

The LCO Method is best for moisture training. I am now experiencing continued moisture for my hair after cutting it and starting over using another method and better techniques. Sealing your hair at the end with an oil or butter is BOMB!

Something similar to the shampoo brush is the tangle tweezer mini with a handle. I love my shower brush and I need a new one lol

That Afro looking good 🥰 . I’ve always wanted to shave my head . I have long hair but my edges are thin. I don’t like my thin edges . I want to cut all my hair off and let my edges grow back long and healthy .

How often do you wash/moisturize your hair? My hair is low porosity too so it takes forever to get wet & absorb. When it finally does absorb, it soaks up everything (all product)! & I find that my hair just gets dry as the day goes on. It’s like if I don’t wet or moisture it daily - it’ll just be dry :/ I used both of the methods you do interchangeably.

I tried to wash my hair every two weeks when not in a protective style. My hair doesn't always stay moisturized. It all depends on my environment and the time of year. I also try not to use hot water when washing my hair because I find that it dries out faster when I do that.

I used one of those “detangling” brushed before, and I gave up on it because it kept opening up whilst I was brushing which was irritating. The stick that keeps it in place kept coming off lol

Hello! No, I'm still taking my prenatal vitamins (when I remember) and drinking a lot of water. My hair has also been in protective styles for the past few months so that's why I've been retaining a lot of my length.

I’m a caucasian guy with very fine, straight hair. I just got micro braids 5 days ago. Do you have any tips to make them last 2-3 months?

Wrap your hair at night and avoid wetting (drenching) them. I would give it a light spray with water to moisturize (when needed) but that's it. Spray or apply a light oil to keep the flyaways down (not too much because your fine hair will look super greasy and weighed down)

You are using the brush incorrectly. Hold it vertically and start at the tips working to the roots. You can brush holding it horizontally once it has cleared out all of the tangles. My C4 hair was half way down my back and that style of brush is a game changer if you hold it correctly.

I try to wash and deep condition once a week. I don't wash my hair weekly when my hair is in a protective style though. I generally only wash it once or twice while in a protective style.
