Super impressive build man, I loved how you emphasized that this build is specific to your gear! More people need to express that because I often hear people wonder why they don't deal any dmg but they disregard that hitting certain criteria hold WAY more value then stacking up to closer to 5k crit dmg for example. 5k crit dmg without crit chance is like tossing all your stats and rely on god in battle. 😂
I appreciate you. 🙏 I definitely agree that people should be less cloudy when they're making videos. It's bad enough that some level of clickbait/exaggeration is almost necessary nowadays.. I definitely plan on dropping a lot more come season 5. Perhaps we can diversify a bit and experiment with some other classes too.. we shall see. :)
@@-WittyI would like to try this setup, I have another WW variation, mostly based on Perra Gaming's one, running leap and iron skin, I've done a couple changes to suit my playstyle though, I always prefer iron warrior (I think the aspects called that, and include it in almost all my setups simply because standing still in a cc isn't barbaric at all lol) That's 99% enough with the 35-58% dmg reduction it provides (depending on where you put the aspect necklace or not) honestly that fact is also super understated (weapons have +100% effect and neck +50% for offensive aspects and necklaces +50% for any aspect I think?) Again very nice build and I will try this build, but will probably change challenging shout for iron skin. Have you done any sort of testing with the boots "Yen's blessing"? They're quite fun because of the extra mobility/utility Yen's blessing actually provides though you seem rather fast anyways lol
There's something that is just exploding my brain. Gushing wounds bleeds scale off crit damage, so howcome using grandpapa which doubles crit damage doesn't deal more bleed damage off gushing wounds than polearm?
A ton of extra multiplicative buffs from using the polearm.. at least, that's the short answer. It's a lot more complicated than just this.. but think of it similarly -- 5,000% (crit) x 500% (vuln) = 2,500,000 but.. 2,500% (crit) x 1,200% (vuln) = 3,000,000
R.I.P this build and all others which are built around gushing wounds... and unconstrained... which is pretty much every barb build. Well R.I.P. barb, you were fun in S4.
I play barb and i can only play 2 hrs a day. These builds on youtube wont work for me coz i've got no time to temper Crit Damage. Sooo sadd... is there a workaround without using Crit damage tempers??
Sadly, not really until season 5 when all classes are able to do so. If you're in the Sanctuary discord, which is linked in the pinned comment, find me in the #barbarian-chat and I'd be happy to power level and speed farm the temper manual for you. It usually only takes about 30-40 minutes from the time you create the rogue to get the manual :)
man i tryed out your build with crazy good gears and i thought i would be able to run 111s smoothly but it turned out that polearm sucks badly compared to grandfather not only for life quality but also the damage seems just bad. maybe u can have a go with 111 pits and see how is this possible? i run with 2000% crit dmg and 1400% vulnerable dmg and 94% crit chance with polearm (obviously 300% dmg while berserking). when i use grandfather i run with 5500% crit dmg and 709% vul and it feels a lot more stronger than polearm setup
A lot of the reason for that is probably to do with the fact this build was geared towards speedfarming pit 101s almost exclusively. When it comes to running higher pits, you sacrifice a bit of the crit chance (aka the armor gems) for more life, and you could go as far as changing a few aspects as well. The planner linked has a pit pushing variation in it as well - that should show you some of the differences. Apologies if you felt misled, that wasn't the goal at all!
@@-Witty hey man, thx for your answer. i wrote u not because u misled me but just because i must be doing something wrong. i don't really need to sacrifice crit chance for 111s, i just don't see any improvement when i use polearm: my dmg is just significantly lower compared to grandfather setup and it takes ages to kill the boss. when i use grandfather instead i manage to kill the boss in 5-10 seconds and i'm able to clear the 111 pit in less than 1 minute and 30 seconds (ofc this doesn't happen all the times but it's still a lot better than what i manage to do with polearm)
@@LuKanO84 I get that. It does require changing a lot more than just the weapons themselves, of course, and it's mostly geared JUST towards speed farming. My setup is also catered moreso to my own stats, so your damage while berserking might be lower than the 300% goal if you had different rolls on your gear than I did. Ultimately, I always tell people that if you have a fully kitted Grandfather setup that it's not worth risking the bricks on your weapons by swapping to Polearm. :P
@@-Witty gear is not a problem as i play barb only and i got all i need for both setups. my dmg while berserking is enough to have 30% bloodrage with bot set ups (296.7%). using elixir of precision i'm sat on 100% crit chance but with polearm the boss is just not bleeding enough. that's why i think that i must be doing something wrong or it's just that critical dmg becomes a lot more important when it comes to higher pits
Absolutely. If you're still working on getting Tyrael's, you can run pretty much any aspect that is defense oriented and run affixes that would compensate for what you're losing. Something like: * Aspect of Numbing Wrath * +Strength +Maximum Life +Resistance to all Elements T- Imposing Presence T- Crowd Control Duration This would work just fine, but Tyrael's is also super helpful with damage, surprisingly. So definitely get your hands on it ASAP! I would say the uber priority would be: Starless > Tyrael's > Shako > Grandfather (if used)
@@sasch3026 Your Rallying Cry should generate the initial amount, and then you should be maintaining with Fury on Kill on one of your 2h weapons, among other things. :P
I think they're both really close. They're both 5%[x] damage increases per point, but I've heard from a lot of people smarter than me that HH is slightly better.. CTTB is slightly better.. I've always preferred HH + Crit Chance + Move Speed on my amulet, personally. But the "ideal" amulet would be HH + CTTB + Crit Chance, I'm told. :P
@@Coerced Even without a GA, it should still feel better than anything else. I prefer movement speed just because, well.. speed. But if you're doing anything other than pure speed farming, you'd want HH + CTTB for sure :)
@@filibertodepaz663 You sure you aren't just using a weapon with vulnerable damage on it? Lol. Almost every barbarian build runs the 2h axe expertise, it would be pretty crazy that nobody has found out it isn't working.
@@4372222 I love Rob, but unfortunately it’s hard to get a reliable source out of his videos sometimes because he gets sent things from so many places. The biggest reason the polearm is winning is the 2h sword expertise not working, but a lot of us have been using polearm over grandfather for over a month :D
@@-Witty the mail reason of polearm - is WW aspect in it. And you get one more free aspect in amulet. And ofcourse you can get polearm weap expertise and polearm glyth. And ofcourse you better to have polearm with full vuln stats to boost hemo legendary node.
I like this game a lot. I usually don't comment on these types of videos. This is absolutely the worst thing that has happened to diablo 4. This is a joke. There is no reason to have this type of playstyle in a game/ damage. This is the reason Barbarian is getting the axe. It's not your fault of course, you are just making the content. Just a sad state of affairs. I love Barb, but i am happy this wont be a thing in the future. no other class can do this at all. Maybe rogue with heartseeker and even that is borderline. Barb has a great arsenal system and no one uses it cause of how powerful 2 twohanded weapons are and what you can do with that power. If you look Barbs class aspects are weak, but the generic ones we use that everyone can use are not and we become too powerful. Now they nerfed our class mechanic of the arsenal system via walking arsenal and the most compelling ( in my opinion) gameplay a barb has. Glad to try out other classes cause this this game is awesome. Just hope this kind of gameplay doesn't happen too often. No slide against you and your content, it's what you do I guess. Just sucks as of now
Nah bro, don't worry about it at all. I would love to see more variety and for the other classes to be able to speed farm more efficiently, personally. I understand completely that it's not everybody's cup of tea, but that's the beautiful thing about games like D4. It doesn't have to be, because everyone can play as efficiently, tactically, carefree, etc. as they want and it makes no difference to anybody else. I mostly made this video specifically because I had previously made one in regards to the same build - this one being the updated and final version I'll be doing. But I completely understand and respect where you're coming from. I ran probably 70% barbarian this season and I would agree that the class needed to be knocked down a bit. I am very excited to see what comes of it all in season 5. 😄
