An updated Jean build would be pretty nice. I feel like she is very underrated because Kazuha and Venti exists

I feel like Raiden Shogun is probably one of the most cohesive characters kit wise in the game, to the point where it almost seems unfair how complimentary her kit is. She has a high burst cost, so you already want to build ER, so her getting passive bonuses from ER makes those passives basically free stats. And Building her ER literally just also makes her burst better, as in more powerful. Also, with high ER, she will be able to charge a solid portion of her energy from her own burst. And then you have her elemental skill, which encourages you to use your other character’s bursts by powering them up, and it also generates particles for Raiden Shogun as long as you are dealing damage. And using extra bursts powers up Raiden Shogun’s burst, which then allows her to use her own burst, do a ton of damage, and recharge everyone else, who can then go in and repeat the whole process. I feel like no other character has such a clear cut way of being used, to the point where her kit encourages you to have rotations. Also just some casual fun things. I like how having her on your party at all literally just feels like a significant power boost to your whole party. What with the Eye of Stormy Judgement doing it’s synced attacks and literally just powering up your bursts. Especially because the Eye have 100% uptime. And I like how the Eye procs on any damage being dealt unconditionally. So you can shoot something with an arrow from halfway across the map and it will proc. Or use Zhongli’s pillar and have the energy wave it emits proc it. Or just about anything. It’s very fun. I also like how because of it’s 100% uptime it feels like a passive, because I’m already using the Elemental skill every opportunity.

Just want to drop this here to help others to optimize their raiden national team. If your Raiden is on 220 above ER, you can have XL on 160 - 180 ER; Bennett can have 150 + ER, XQ below C6 200+ ER and on C6 140 - 160. This is just a general guide so you can tweak this to where you are more comfortable.

Raiden helped me get 9 stars in level 12 spiral abyss. Currently have her at C2 and the damage is insane compared her C0 damage. She’s amazingly OP

Hey Zy0x, I'm a big fan of your guides, the way the information if presented and the clarity you provide in order to understand how it works. I have a request though, if you can start making full team comp videos. Like for example a Raiden National Team on how you will build each character and some tips to execute combos for each team.

The way you explain the artifacts is exactly what I needed to hear. I hope you can do this more often for other characters giving 1 or 2 options for main stats to look out for and 1 o 2 great artifact sets options. Thank you dude. Hopefully you can do this with all the characters in future guides.

Combo Tips : If you need to reposition during her Ult, you can change your combo from N31C to N21C and dash mid-slash to reposition. It will give you the same amount of damage output, but keep in mind to not dash too early, because her CA slash won't be registeted

I decided to pull for her because I didn’t want to farm for more ER substats for Yae. I was using Fischl, but Raiden just makes it way more comfy.

I spent since January farming for her rerun because I missed it when I took a break from the game. She is so much fun so far and will probably be my first crowned character in the game. I highly recommend her if you can roll she is worth the addition 😩🙏🏾

I didn't learn anything new, but this is making me consider switching Jean away from my current build even though I just finished it. I had heard about sunfire team comps before, but I never really thought much of them. After getting Jean recently I figured it would be nice to make her fill a role that wasn't already being filled by another character. I ended up making her a second physical carry so that I could use her in any cases where healing is very important, but I don't really want to use any conventional healers. From watching this video it seems like sunfire teams would be fun and effective for cases where I might switch her back to VV with a high focus on EM rather than ATK.

A guide on Kaeya would be pretty cool too! I got to thinking about it when seeing your Xingqiu. I see a lot of build ideas for him but have been curious about him in a permafreeze comp with Xingqiu and Chongyun, so your insight on Kaeya and his respective builds would be nice as well! Aside from that, I really enjoy this Raiden video, as well as your other ones. They really help me understand their kids (because sometimes the wording is very awkward) and how to get the most out of their damage! So thank you so much :)

I was waiting for this video since a long time ! I already have her and now I c2 her, I’m always trying to improve her. You did a great job with the arrefacts, really. However ONE thing that I notice is that you don’t talk at all (or in the picture ranking all weapons) about the last polearm release The Qualamity Queller, which I happened to get while aiming for the Jade Spear, and this was part of the reason why I expected so much this new guide, to see if it would work and is efficient with my Raiden. This is a great video! I got her on the first banner and have been using her mainly with YanFei, since her E couses overload procs on Yanfei's basic attacks all the time and i built Yanfei as a crit caster becouse of it. Its a shame getting those artifact substats is the hardest thing in the game, but thats just as it is :s Do u have a guide on Kokomi as well? mainly as a healer since her dps is great from the get go.

Thanks for this in-depth analysis and explanation of Raiden. Even though you posted this almost a year ago it is still relevant for me since I just acquired her in the last banner run and it has really helped me optimize my build for her. You talk pretty fast and edit your phrases very close to each other because I assume you're trying to fit as much content in the least amount of time as possible. So I watched this video fully through at least 3 times and then other segments, such as the artifacts section, multiple times. On a side note unrelated to the subject, I notice you love saying the phrase "...with that said". I didn't notice it much at first but after hearing it so many times throughout the video and watching it repeatedly it started to get on my nerves. It's because this phrase has become so over-used and abused in social media now and the tragedy is that it is so unnecessary to say. We know you said it. Why are you telling me you said it? It's almost insulting my intelligence. If you try saying the sentences before and after while omitting this phrase you'll find the sentence and logic flow is absolutely fine without it and no meaning is lost in the change. To prove my point on the frequency, while I was watching a re-run of the video to get more information, I also documented the time-stamps where you say this phrase or a variation of this phrase: 00:47 "with that being said..." 04:56 "with that said..." 05:21 "that being said..." 06:43 "now that said..." 07:44 "with that said..." 10:45 "now with that being said..." 11:47 "that being said..." 12:35 "with that said..." 13:46 "that being said..." 14:35 "with that said..." 20:07 "that being said..." 20:49 "with that being said..." 23:48 "with that being said..." With all that being said (haha!), I don't have a problem if this phrase is used sparingly here and there. Because it actually boils down to it being my problem for being annoyed and not yours. I'm just pointing it out as it's something that I'm hoping content creators can be more cognizant about as it's us content consumers that have to listen to such an unnecessary phrase over and over...

Your guide was really in-depth, very good Guide. For me, because I didn't expect to get her, I didn't farm. So currently I only have her at lv60, and talents 2, 4, 6. But because she is so squishy being at lv60 I decided to run her with Zhongli, the kicker is, I found out by personal experience and that fit my playstyle, 4pc Archiac Petra Zhongli was perfect for that big Elemental Damage bonus (I don't have Kazuha sooo..) I ran Yae with Tenacity because hehe, her skill is consistently hitting enemies, that's a 100% uptime on the buff and I found that Yae and Tenacity set wirks better than Zhongli with Tenacity because his skill hitting enemies is unreliable. (I'm very unconventional, I play around my playstyle and not Meta Tutorials.) With that set up and a lv8 burst Bennet, I was able to hit 100k+ in floor 12 chamber 1 on the electro wolves with that underbuilt Raiden. In openworld I see her doing, 89-96k and 10 - 15k on the normal attacks after, she does about 46-51k without buffs.

Currently I’m using Raiden with an ER sands, atk% goblet, and crit circlet on the 4 piece emblem. I have around 50% atk just from the substats, so I thought this would be fine. Also, I use my catch on Xiangling so I use homa on Raiden. I was wondering, would it be better to swap to an electro dmg goblet since I use her in the national team or Yae with Bennett?

Despite her skill seemingly does very little damage per tick, the major advantage of it is that it deals AoE electro damage. Most other characters that deal off-field damage are only capable of dealing single target damage. You can capitalize this advantage by using her with anemo grouping characters. Also to point out that with her 2nd Ascension talent (Enlightened One) every point of extra ER *above 100%* is extra energy for every character in your party. So the higher your energy recharge on Raiden, the less ER you need on your other characters, allowing them to run more attack. Adding more ER on Raiden might reduce her own damage but would increase the overall team damage; this is also another reason why Engulfing Lightning is so strong on her since it compensates the downside of investing too much on ER.

If it were not for Ayato, I'd go for c2. But c1 Raiden is more than enough for me at the moment.

To all the Raiden owners who own Kazuha as well and has a well-invested Raiden (200CV+), I highly recommend using Raiden Hyper over Raiden national especially this abyss since it is her highest ceiling team at any constellation and has better AoE. The team itself is very flexible with the electro unit, you can run C6 Sara, Fischl, Lisa, Yae or Mona depending on the scenario and what you have available. Raiden hyper arguable has even more simple and shorter rotations than Raiden national.

This a great refresher for Raiden's kit... had some problems with building her lol.

I’ve had Raiden for a while but never used her. Recently I put her in my team just to level up her friendship. At level 20 with no artifacts, she did notable damage. I put some random artifacts, leveled her to 30 and wow. She , Fishel, alone took down the giant frozen flower in record time. Too bad I main The pirate queen

Anyone who is tempted to get C2, remember that every constellation is enough gems for another 5* unit, say instead of getting C2 Raiden you could go for C0 Ayato and C0 Kazuha instead. In my opinion, a new character is worth much more than a constellation. If youre a millionaire you can do whatever you want of course. (Water is wet, i know, but some people might need the reminder to not fall to temptation)

I used 50 wishes and got 2 Raidens. Now I have my C2 and I'm so excited. My last wish before this was a Zhongli (I skipped the Yea banner)

OMG!!! I watched this video and it made me want to pull for Engulfing Lightning and i got it. This is my second time ever wishing on weapon banner and i won the 50/50.

I jave found an uowards of 280% ER is great in open world and in Raiden national bc its a burst rotation comp but outside of that 260 is ideal. I was missing a lot of damage from crit damage rolls that I had wrongly appropriated into ER. I use Raiden with Yae Miko and 260 is plenty as well as Raiden to fill in Hu tao down time with Zhongli and Xingqui.
