I wish more was done with alien's weird mechanic. Giving alien a 2 weaken or 2 vuln that doesn't do damage would be enough imo to make Alien a very worthwhile take
The one really tough part I find about Knight is that 'his tactic gives him 4 Shield sides' doesn't apply when you have a Pain side or are swinging into spikes/thorns which can be awkward, since he's below your damage most of the time.
Forsaken may not be the best, but she's carried my ass through so many bosses I lost count. One time she was the last one standing against 2 sabers, and she clutched it by hitting the revive.
2:35:25 Imagine if we have Slice and Dice PvP. A two player battle mode. One player holding the hero side, the other holding the monster side. Taking turns rolling their dice.
This game is definitely designed around the idea that heroes can reroll and monsters cant, and heroes target intelligently and monsters dont. The game would need to be very different
Ludus and Veteran are good if you get pocket mirror and/or whetstone. There are other similar itemes that boost basic damage, but if you dont get those items then they can be a skip.
I think my biggest disagreement is I think Curator is almost just great because if you are playing a team that can pick him he so often just carries almost single handedly. However I think wanderer with that is still just the best yellow
@@Em3.14reidk I think the instances where he would be bad you can't pick him, and in every other case he's cracked. I still think because he is in such a good color and isn't always a character you can pick he is still fundamentally team reliant but I still think if you can pick him you should 95% of the time.
i think that if a character is in great they're just a winning pick in most situations, curator is effectively only 2 sides that come close to the power level of the other good yellows, steel and charged, and if you dont have a way to make those sides really pump damage he's not great
54:54 juggler math because it’s really interesting 🤓👆 If you roll 2 damage on the first roll it is more damage on average to roll down for another two. There are nine unique possibilities. 2222=8 2211=6 2200 =4 2122=7 2111=5 210= 3 2022= 6 2011=4 200=2 45/9= 5 dmg on average Which means it’s 1 more damage on average. It’s still very nuanced though. Your only getting one extra damage on average. Your also more likely to lose HP to the damage cantrip which can lose you damage if you have to spend mana on juggler.
yeah i think that once you break out the pen and paper you ignore the realities of the actual combats, it might be technically more damage to roll but if 2 + 2 kills an enemy you probably just lock the 2 right away
Collector I put into great. Every other tier 2 yellow has 2+ entirely useless sides where you can just roll 3 X's. He also has a lot of cool Synergy stuff that auto wins difficult fights.
@@willw5868 You want Scrapper or Berserker from your tier 2 yellow. But Berserker needs help to not death spiral, so can't be your first Tier 2. Plus you are typically picking your Yellow VS another color, and the difference between the best and worst Yellow is MUCH smaller than the difference between even a good and bad Blue/Grey/Green. So my Orange/Yellow/Red heros have much higher pick rates overall.
@@rrteppoyeah I agree that all the t2 yellows are very similar in power level. Except collector, his damage outlook is notably lower than what I would expect from pretty much any of the other yellows. He’s just a strong step weaker than all the others I feel
I think even in the second best tier theif is underrated. If you lock whenever you roll a thief side, you will hit 87.5% of the time. In these cases, theif is just better than hoarder. A character that is almost always better than hoarder deserves to be in the same tier
