Thank you so much! You made my day. I do generally buy used books. I'm frugal, I like early copies, and I like the reuse angle. Sometimes I do buy new books though when I just can't wait. Are you a collector?

@rarebookviews I like to call myself a collector 😄 I know there has been a 'rule' going around that it's only a library once there are 1 000 books or more, but I believe one's personal library can be any size, as long as it's thoughtfully curated (though I am almost there at around 860 books 😄🙈). I have the same point of you regarding collecting, most of the time 😄 I very easily fall prey to a pretty new edition of a classic or poetry book, especially if it is part of a collection I'd like to complete. Sometimes I find the hunt for the most affordable option for a new edition classic has hints of the excitement of second-hand shopping! But going to library sales and charity book shops definitely wins!

It might be overstating to say I have a system 😉 I like to collect nice copies of books that I loved as a kid. I'm also a bargain shopper so I love finding a good book for a song. All of those books get read eventually. recently I've been tackling them one shelf at a time. What is your approach?

I've never really counted the books, but the number changes all the time! I'm always finding new treasures or passing something on to a friend.
