Hi Jennifer, it would be nice in a near future to see you vlog something about bringing cremated remains of the love ones whom they wish to have their final rest back home to Philippines. Like type of documents required for you to bring when you landed that the immigration might ask for you to show. Your vlogs are always clear and easy to understand. I hope you can make one to help educates our kababayans. More power to you always and god bless you. 🙏🏼 🙏🏼 🙏🏼
Hello. We have just been thru this extension of the Balikbayan. After your 12 month period you can extend your stay for 1 to 6 months. The Balikbayan privelage is cancelled and you will be given a tourist visa extension for the 1 to 6 month you request. You will also need to apply for an ACR card, meaning full photographs and 10 digit fingerprints. Approx 14,000 peso's and all day sitting in Immigration office. Better to fly out of the country and renew your Balikbayan privelage for a full 12 months.
I arrived in Terminal 1 last December and the first line I got in was to verify my QR code. There were about 12 booths -6 booths on one side and 6 on the other. There were a lot of people since more than one flight arrived around the same time. It took a while to get through since the lines were not organized and everyone just bunched up. At Immigration, there was one section for Filippino citizens and one for foreigners. It was easier for Filipino citizens to go through since it was all electronic scanning. One note, be sure to have your boarding pass available or you won't go through. Being Balikbayan, I was in the foreigner line which took a little longer, and all they checked was my passport. After going through immigration, I picked up my luggage, and since I had a connecting flight to Cebu, I was directed to the transfer desk after picking up my luggage. I did not have to go through customs since the transfer desk was still inside the baggage claim. I just left my luggage with the luggage attendants who tagged my luggages for transfer. I was then directed outside the terminal and turned right to take a transfer bus to Terminal 2. It was about a 10-15 minute wait till we arrived at Terminal 2. I strongly suggest if you have a connecting flight that you have a least a 2-3 hour gap between flights.
@@lenseofanomad You may be right. I just recall seeing the Filipino citizens just scanning their passport through gates while we had to still had to talk to an immigration officer to get our passports stamped.
Jennifer, your information from your videos is spot on. We arrived in Cebu yesterday and the process getting through immigration/passport control and customs was very easy and efficient. Even getting the one year Balikbayan for me and my Filipina wife was quick and painless. We traveled from Austin, Texas, caught EVA Air in LAX with a connecting flight in Taipei. Other than the incredibly long flight, it was great. The biggest delay was waiting for baggage in Cebu. As we all know, Filipinos love to bring many Balikbayan boxes with them when they come home. The shipping price is probably pretty high. Thanks for all your work and information. By the way, it seemed like half the flight were foreigners coming for a visit.
@@ashleylibrando9 no, not when we flew into Cebu on Jan 26. Nor, none required into Taiwan, especially since we never left the airport. As long as you were fully vaccinated, which we are. I was a little concerned about it since many Chinese are purportedly traveling again. We had no problems. You will be required to wear the mask, of course. Good travels to you.
The last time that I was in the Philippines which was in October of 2020 I wore the headphones that were provided by the airlines and I used those to put the elastic part of the facemask on because wearing the facemask for a long time really hurts my ears. This solved that problem and what a relief it was. My wife, mother in law and I will be returning to the Philippines on March 24th so we have about 8 weeks until we leave. Thank you for your updates as I will continue to watch them until we leave just to be sure that nothing changes. We are all fully vaccinated so no worries about any of us having to be quarantined. I miss the Philippines.
Thank you Jennifer. I started following your blog late last year. Thank you for always updating info regarding Philippines travel. Very much appreciated talaga.
Hi Jenn.. Thank you so much for guiding us through your vlog about my hassle free trip to the Philippines. Arrived here last Monday Jan.23 safe and sound.. I just need my passport, ticket and vaccination card. Thank you again ang God Bless...
Ms Jennifer mabuhay ka and allow me to say this to you....i love you and by doing this you help a lot of travelers. I'll bring some chocolates for you when I come back in three months just to say THANK YOU!!! And again Mabuhay ka...😀👍
i think for pinoy who has only foreign passport the place of birth is stated on that passport i hope the immigration officer understands that! that is a common sense…
Being born in PH doesn’t necessary mean that you are a Filipino. An old PH passport or birth certificate are the acceptable proofs that you are a former Filipino.
@@lilys5095 do realize we can’t get foreign passport without valid documents. For instance applying for Canadian citizenship you need old passport and birth certificate. At least these are the documents I presented transitioning from Filipino passport to Canadian Passport. Not sure about other countries but I’m sure it’s similar.
Jenefer, thank you so much for your great Job that you help all of us,and hope and pray we meet you in person in the Phil. I plan this coming March with my Son for vacatio. Okey Jeney Have a Blessed days always.🙏❤
This is very clear and helpful! Though I have one question: I'm a Philippine passport holder, and my spouse is a foreign national. Upon arrival, do we go to the Philippine passport queue together? Thank you!
Terminal 2 was quite nice when we arrived end of Nov. last year but worst experience was leaving the country..terminal 1 was full packed..line up are very long because they wait 3-4 hrs before your flight to open the check in counter and the waiting area for boarding was too small. Needs a lot to improve.
Hello! Is there any discussion about when the S pass will stop? We are planning to travel to Palawan in the summer, and there are a lot of hoops to jump as a tourist.
Arrived in CRK last Friday, the 20th of this month from Northern Europe and was through immigration after 5 - 10 minutes. I got screen shots of all the necessary papers on my phone and the only thing they ask was the QR code of my e-travel registration. "Smooth sailing" as they say. Thank you very much JT for your untiring efforts for the updates on travelling to the PH. From a balikbayan here...
Thank you for the information. I will be travelling end of this month from USA. I am stopping by in Korea for maybe 30hours. Do I need negative result from Korea? Thanks
Great job Jennifer - keep it up. I do have a question: I was adopted here and am now Australian. My old Filipino passport will have a different surname to my Australian passport. Will this be an issue for Balikbayan privilege? Thanks in advance.
Hello Jen! Thank you for all you do! My sister and I went home on December 17th (returned Jan 8th). Flew into Clark. We are fully vaccinated with booster. No issues at all! They only asked for the etravel QR code and that was it!! Very smooth!! Getting there and coming back was another issue as we booked our flights with Air Canada (from Atlanta). They changed our flights 3 times with longer layovers (14 hours going and 28 hours coming back). They checked in my sister’s carry on bag but never made it to the Philippines. They mailed it to my house in the U S and we still had a over week left on our vacation. Luckily, I had enough clothes for my sister to wear (although they fit her a little bit bigger 🤣). The frustrations of getting there and coming back was all worth it though as we were able to spend the holidays with our family. I’ve learned my lesson with Air Canada. They will be my last resort! Again, thanks Jen for all you do!!
Hi Jennifer! I have a question on the E-Arrival Card. Can you still have this done after arrival in the Philippines by local staff. Thank You for responding!
Hello Jennifer. First your information is extremely helpful. My wife and I are in the Philippines now and under the Balikbayan program. Do you know if I was to leave the Philippines on my own during the year that we are covered, can I return by myself and continue the privilege for the remainder of the year.
No. If you leave, your balikbayan visa is cancelled even if it has remaining days/ months on it. If you re-enter PH alone, you'll be considered as a foreign tourist and will be given 30 days visa on arrival only. You'll also need an exit ticket which leaves in 30 days or less.
Hello im former filipino po dumating ako s pinas january 7 2023 pagdating s immigration i said hello po former filipino po then binigyan n ko ng balikbayan privilege valid for 1 year. Then after 3 days nagpunta nmn ako thailand for 5 days. Then i have to do the etravel thingy again pag dating pinas another 1 yr balikbayan privilege ulit. Mababait ang officers naka smile n cla lagi :) hahaha or baka un lng natapat s kin.. i just said former filipino po.
I arrived last Jan 19 at Terminal 1.First of all am worried about the Covid protocol, but after doing the eTravel form n the QR code on ny iPhone i dint encounter any problem at all.Everything was smooth even at the Immigration. The Im officer just ask the immigration form n passport scrutinized it then,am done..No hassles at all.Am rt now here in Baguio city doing some blogging.Gudluck to y’all😊🫰🏻
If you have a 13A visa (or 13G), you don't need a return or exit ticket. You'll still need to register for e-travel (and get the QR code) before your flight. If you're unvaxxed, you'll need a test before your flight.
@@spiritualexercise265 I can't remember if she did anything specific for entry of permanent residents. Most vids have been geared towards foreign tourists, returning Filipinos (OFW/ non OFW) and balikbayans.
Before you exit the airport, there are kiosks selling SIM cards. If you're going to the province, it's best to know which provider (Globe vs Smart) has better coverage. If you'll stay in large cities, almost equal coverage.
This is in regards to the Balikbayan stamp upon arrival to the Philippines. On my last trip to the Philippines in December, I asked the Immigration officer if she would stamp my passport with a Balikbayan stamp. She told me it had already been stamped. I was a little confused because there was no stamp saying "Balikbayan". The only thing I noticed was that she had used a black stamp with the arrival date on it beneath the regular red stamp they use upon arrival. I'm assuming this is the new protocol to identify Balikbayans entering the Philippines?
My wife and I will be traveling to the Philippines in the near future. My question is, is there any forms that we need to fill out prior to our flight?
Hello mam... paano po kung 1st dose vaccine namin is AstraZeneca then 2nd and 3rd dose are Biontech? Kasi sa registration only 1st and 2nd dose ang fill upon. What about the 3rd dose?
Having a Balikbayan visa and being a senior 74 yrs old, does this mean that you are eligible be a member of PhilHealth enjoying same as other Filipinos living in that Philippines.
It depends on the nationality of their parents. Was one of their parents a Filipino citizen at the time of the birth of the child? Also, what year were they born? Before or after 1973? Different rules apply.
Hi Ms. Jenn, first thanks sa very informative videos mo 👏👏👏 but i still have questions..what about requirements travelling domestic like baguio, pangasinan (travelling by car) is there check points pa ba who control if may antigen test (for unvaccinated) or yellow card (for fully vaccinated)? If yes do we need to test every travel destinations (ex. From baguio to pangasinan to subic to pampanga to manila etc..). Where can i locate a rapid antigen test lab.? Is there a link? Sorry so much question and hope to hear from you. Thanks in advance!
Just came back here in the UK,last Jan 15th, u can go anywhere in the Phils.without Antigen test.Just bring facemask with u in handy as most people are wearing it but it’s not mandatory .It’s up to u if u want to wear it or not.
@@melbarosavalmonte2083 thanks for the info! But one of the hotels i message (baguio in particular) is asking for antigentest upon check in, while others not.
Miss jen sa mga unvaccinated po na uuwe ng pinas , iqquarantine pa po ba? And kailngan po ba mag book ng sarili hotel from the country of origin pagdating sa airport? Pls help
Is balikbayan privilege only applicable only applicable to former filipinos or also to Filipino citizens living abroad who wants to come home with foreign spouse and children?
Hi,Jennifer,Im unvax so i will get covid test if its negative meaning my child travelling with me considered negative as well and no need testing right?
@@DJLyncho If you and your Filipina wife travel together and return to PH together, you will be given the Balikbayan visa (1 year visa free stay). A spouse visa (13A) is something different. That is not a visa given upon arrival. You have to apply for that visa.
Hi Jen, uwi kami ng spouse ko on March 1, I am vaccinated and my husband is not, do I still need an antigen test? Thank you very much and highly appreciate your reply
Hi Jennifer, are unvaccinated tourists allowed to take internal flights during a two weeks holiday in the Philippines? Do they need a covid test? Thanks
Hi po. Minor clarification lang based sa 10:09 " Travelers under 15 years old ". Hindi na kailangan ng covid test yung "Fully" vaccinated na adult na may kasamang minor under 15 years old na hindi vaccinated. The same applies to the minor, as he/she follows the protocol of accompanying adult. Tama po ba?
No. Your daughter can have BB privilege (bring her birth cert) but her husband is not included since he's not your blood relative. He can get 30 days visa on arrival (depends on his nationality).
