I am just now listening to this. To me, your life update was beneficial. I appreciate your thought process as you come to terms with the end to “a season of life”. It has given me insight to some of my own issues! Thanks for sharing.
Their Eyes Were Watching God is an amazing read! Tuesday Next has been on my TBR for ages. Love a little life update!! ❤ I’m so sorry about your loss. 😔 What a shock. And what a wonderful way of processing this situation. Praying for you.
I love to hear your life update and I’m sorry to hear about your disappointment but I respect the way you are working through it. You always shine and will continue to bring hope and joy into everyone you come in contact with. I haven’t read any of those books but Hester and it wasn’t my favorite. I have some Wilkie Collin’s on my TBR and need to get with it! I just finished Crow Mary based on true events of the life of a woman from the Crow Tribe in the late 1800s. Loved it! Have a great Sunday and Mother’s Day🤗
Thank you for the encouragement- it’s a lot to work through because I put my heart into it and was so very shocked. Hester was creative and unique and I enjoyed reading it though I didn’t think the writing itself nor the overall message was as well done as I’d like. You will likely love Wilke Collins! Start with his most beloved The Woman in White. Crow Mary sounds Awesome!!! Happy Mother Day!
Their Eyes Were Watching God sounds like an interesting read. Thank you for sharing. I am currently reading Middlemarch by George Eliot and Anne of Windy Poplars by LM Montgomery. I'm so sorry to hear of your job position. I am a Pre-K teacher and can see and tell of your passion for teaching and working with children. I pray God guides you for you next mission in life. He has great plans for you.
I love Middlemarch and I loved the first Anne book. I will miss the kids so much! It was my second job so thankfully still have my main income and calling but I just felt so called to that it was a slap. Thank you for your words and encouragement- God will indeed continue to direct me.
Hi, I just found your channel today, and I enjoy it. From your books in this video, I have read Their Eyes Were Watching God, and I love this book! Zora Neale Hurston's writing is great! I plan to read more of Wilkie Collins, but so far I have only read two: The Woman in White and The Moonstone. I loved both, but The Moonstone even more.
Great reviews and it's great to hear you're enjoying your activities outside reading. Sorry to hear about the position, but I love your optimism and positive outlook :)
Thanks- the reading has been good even though somewhat “miserable” but all working towards making me better and encouraging me. Thanks for your comment 🧡
Yes thanks for reading with me! I am so sad to be let go especially without a single warning nor opportunity to improve and keep going. Harsh and not honoring to all I did.
I'm planning to reread Their Eyes Were Watching God this month. I've had Armadale on my shelves for decades, unread! Thanks for reviving my interest again. Sorry about the job; I can imagine how disappointing that is.
I’m keeping Their Eyes on my shelf to possibly reread later and keep as a Classic. I think you’d like Armadale. Thanks for the support on the job- I can’t really explain how much of my heart is in it with those sweet kids and teachers. I will just miss them so much!
Aw thanks!! I haven’t been there but would love to- love the owl too. I went to Brazil a couple times- Portuguese is a really fun language though I never got much past greetings and basic travel words!
@@EntertheBook Thank you so much for answer my comment!! I´m ssooo happy!! :) You definitely need to come visit Portugal!! We have beautiful cities, beaches and a lot of tastefully food!! 🤗 I LOVE Owls, and this specidic one, had two things i like the most (owls and coffe) !!
@@anarodrigues6067 my mother collected owls when I was growing up. I always think of her as well as my bestie who loves them and they are cute! I do hope to get there one day!
@@EntertheBook An interesting fact, today it's Mother's day in Portugal. :) I have, myself, a little collection of owls. My sister and my friends always offer owls (or books) on my birthday or Christmas. I really love them!!🦉
Wow, sounds like some great reading! I’ve read Their Eyes Were Watching God. Will probably reread it again at some point. Sorry to hear about the contract. Totally understand what you’re saying about not having the capacity to read at times like that. I hope the rest of the year goes well. You have a great attitude about being able to see the good from the bad. Thank you for the inspiration! 🧡
Not a bad idea! My technical choices for misery May are Desperate Remedies and the biography of Thomas Hardy- shouldn’t be too bad- though the mugs choose for me Night which is heavy! Ha!
