there’s a few: Changing the requirement for Leif’s Weeding Service Going straight to the next Nook Miles Ticket island (that is without having to go to Dodo Airlines) being able to pick up multiple flowers at once and of course.. more reactions
Being able to alter the plaza building like we could in New Leaf. I miss the fairytale aesthetic. If I remember rightly, you could design houses to look like toadstools in the original HHD, and I miss that _so_ much.
They could honestly have given Celeste her observatory back and done more starry themed furniture to make it a full full set and had it as a $10 dlc and I would've snatched it up so quick
Or, ,like in previous games, have previous villagers remember you when you meet them again! For example, if they move to a friend, you could visit the friend and they would recognize you! Or, they could by chance move to your friends if they have an empty spot, just like in city folk!
Yeah! But if you have their amiibo and invite them to the cafe, they remember you! It's been a while since I tried this so it could be a false memory agh
What I would've loved is for the Fossil Models in New Leaf to come back. Where you would give Cyrus three fossils, and he would create a scale model of the full fossil as long as you had three parts, just like Flick and CJ do models of fish/bugs now. When I saw that Reese and Cyrus were back in the game, I was ecstatic, hoping that I'd be able to do something with all the fossils I didn't need anymore instead of just getting Bells from them. But nope. Speaking of the museum....I miss Celeste's shop too... I also agree that Shrunk would've been a fun little addition. Maybe on certain days, he'd show up instead of K.K. Slider, and he would perform jokes for special Reactions? Because it seems like it's really rare to get Reactions from your villagers, and it also doesn't look like the list entirely fills out when you're done....
I can see the rugs causing glitching. I have a basketball court i used custom flooring with the unlockable designer feature. When i run by, the white lines marking the boundaries of the court actually spaz out at times and rapidly move onto the grass and back. And then settle in the proper place when i get closer
In hindsight, could the pandemic prevented Nintendo from developing these missing ACNH features fully? It.’s a known fact Japan and Japanese game developers like Nintendo did not have much of a remote work system in place and struggled a lot at the beginning of the pandemic. It’s likely that by the time the AC team got their act together, they were already rushed onto Splatoon development as it was about to come out soon after.
You could be very right. The pandemic affected so many games' content.. I could be wrong about the game but I'm prettyyyy sure it was RDR2 that was majorly made by people working at home during the pandemic, and that game has so much cut content. And I bet they wanted to rush ACNH's release because of the pandemic too
I have litterally been living on a boat for the past 7 years without internet so I just got my switch lite and acnh just 6 months ago. I would pay for a mini upgrade to the game! Like the museum shop and some more reactions etc. Are you listening Nintendo? 😅
I believe the dropped critters feature comes from when you give them to Blathers. They probably used the gift transfer mechanic from when you exchange items with villagers to make it easier for them. You basically "gift" the dropped version of the item from your inventory to Blathers's inventory, just like with regular gifts. A similar hack that is actually used in treasure islands is for dropping flowers. There you pick up a little seed, which is the "dropped" version of the flower which appears when you plant them (you always bury the dropped icon when you bury something, just like you always gift the dropped version of an item to your villagers). It's a similar mechanic, the hackers abuse the game's ability of converting an item into its dropped version at times, and overcome the game's barrier of accessing those versions.
One feature i would have loved similar to the outdoor placement of rugs is to hang wall items onto cliffs. Or to at least be able to place them with the grid thingy that they have when you buy them in nooks cranny. It's a whole chunk of pretty items wasted for people who dislike interior decorating.
I would like to have more than 10 villagers besides me on my island. I don’t care if it gets crowded. Also, I want to be able to get all the fruits on my islands without having to get them from another player.
I wish the school, hospital, cafe buildings from the Happy Home Paradise DLC were there by default for owner islands. Having recruited villagers to run those places. It would be more lively.
Imagine this: A new animal crossing game. "Animal Crossing Neighborhood". Tom Nook buys a huge plot of land between 2 cities. He hires you to help him and Timmy and Tommy build it up and get people to live there. You can place plots for buildings and park areas. It's 3×s bigger than an island. You can build houses, apartments, stores, and a hospital, maybe like 3 other building types. The apartments were my first idea for a new game. You create the layout of each room, up to 5 rooms or so. Characters move in, bring in their preset room builds, and live their lives. A mix of hhp and normal ac, all to build up a Neighborhood. DLC/Paid content: HHM (Happy Home Makeover) is a GO ride (like an uber or lyft) away, where you makeover houses in different cities! It's run by Lottie, Wardell and Niko, in a spot between cities. Learn new reactions, get new haircuts, and you can drive?! First person type, you can drive on set out roads in your neighborhood! You can add parking garages to houses and buildings, and 2 parking lots! Your neighbors can drive around too! ....questions and additions and anything else are welcome.
I would love to see an update that involves more interactions towards villagers where you can hug if the friendship levels are high enough, Also, if you got stung or bitten by a scorpion or tarantula, or pass out from getting stung by a wasp for second or consecutive time, you get sent to a villager’s house in bed or laying down with that villager expressing symphony with you (given that your friendship points is high enough).
I wouldn't be as upset with Nintendo if they would've told us they were gonna give up after 1 year of it being out. I also wouldn't be upset if there were basic things put into the game like other games have. Like Nooks Cranny having 4 models instead of 2(counting 3 if you count Tommy/Timmy being the shop at the beginning of the game, which I don't) Or Brewster's being base game like other games. I'm not saying they didn't try on ACNH, but it seems like they left out a lot of stuff that was base game in older games such as City Folk and New Leaf.
The extra reactions would be pretty nice to have. I think rugs outside was probably to glitzy to get done within the time frame. Some of my ground designs have issues when the camera moves.
I kind of wish we got earrings in the game. And bracelets. I know the punk outfit has a bracelet as part of it but having those other accessories would've been fun for outfits. The ears are bare. I'd like to put danglies or clamps or studs there. But alas.
Just me adding my thoughts, but I did go to a treasure island once to pick up an oarfish after hearing about how difficult it is to catch one in the wild. I found that if you donate critters to your museum this way, the donation still counts but the animal isn't registered in your Critterpedia because you didn't obtain it through natural means. I actually felt bad for cheating like that. I went out and caught an actual oarfish later on. Though I'll admit it is tempting to do this again because I'm still missing some bugs after more than a year of playing the game. For now, I'm resisting the urge to pick them up on another treasure island.
I wish we had more upgrades for the Nook shop with skins that can make the shop fit the island theme and I am definitely missing the other nintendo game items like the legend of zelda items.
Rugs out side will forever be my mental picket sign, but the idea of an observatory for the inclusion of celeste that will never happen is one idea that I deeply mourn. Much, if not all of ACNH collectable content is educational. Celeste is a female character who, like Blathers is devoted to education and study. Including her more in a way that didn't make her a unicorn, would have just been good form to start with. Couple all of that with the existing ability to look up, having variable seasons, and falling stars, it would have taken next to no effort for devs --or a hand full of dedicated fans in this day and age, to add a collectable system for constellations, notable stars, planets and other celestial features to observe and show Celeste. She would then elaborate on the findings with educational information. Her observatory could have even included a tiny shop to purchase diys or items using star fragments... The sense of loss for what could have been an amazing update is real.
id love for the bug/fish trading to be functinoal. mostly because IM TERRIFIED OF THE TARANTULA AND SCORPION i cant get them myself they freak me out too much and i can never get the timing right ;-;
Things I would like in acnh is more islands so u didn't have to restart. 2. Is more villager on your island at least 3 more. 3. More shops or an option to do so and I would love if u could make your own store and make bells. 4. That your villagers that left would be able to remember u. I feel like this game has so many opportunities but it is what is. #bobsgang
Did you all noticed that then did a promotion to animal crossing lately, I think it's mean s that a big update ade I'll come, same happened if Pokémon scarlet and violet and it got a Dlc, what all think?🤔
When the new console comes out I'm definitely going to hack my original switch and see if I can install some mods. hopefully there are some which implement the unreleased stuff
New Leaf had more content than this game, yet the majority of us who owned it still bought this. It doesn’t need to have everything - it could have had more.
