Has anyone had their radio just stop working volume wise?? I have a 21 Kia forte GT. The dealer recommended replacing the head unit after testing it. I'm just waiting for it as it's on backorder.
yes, on two different 2023 forte GTs. only fix I could find was undoing the negative on the battery for a few mins or it just fixes itself on startup. Definitely something wrong with the radios in them.
@@wwjoshdew 1 more question. I found the sw version you show under October 2022 navigation update but there's also a Display Audio Software Update from Nov 28 2022. Did you do both of these updates or just the 1?
I have 2023 Kia Forte Gt line and about 3 months into having my car I started experiencing some issues with the apple CarPlay continuously disconnecting I've tried multiple different charges and also updated my phone and it sill didn't change anything I also tried to contact kia but they haven't really been helpful will this update fix my issue?
Hey, I need this update but I don't have a PC at this time, and I can't download the file via my Pixel 7. Is there anyway to share that file so I can update my navigation also? And do you have any trouble with Android auto connecting and disconnecting? Thanks Josh
So I backed it up two different ways. One way, I just took every file and zipped it up. So you unzip it and put it all on the root directory. www.mediafire.com/file/htri0ue8hbav1mg/kia.zip/file the other way, (using a mac) I made an image of my sd card. So you'd just restore it. www.mediafire.com/file/fujyv2fg99eicsn/64GB.dmg/file I used a 64gb usb drive.
I believe this is a limitation of the gt infotainment not having a wifi card to connect with wireless carplay. There are adapters available though that you can plug into the airplay usb port
@@bowen704 I wrote to Kia Canada and they said they can't do anything. I went to the dealer but they couldn't reproduce in time so I got next appointment for next month. They asked me to leave car for whole day since it doesn't happen always but at least once a day.
