The writing is legendary. The direction is flawless. The cinematic crisp, the neon feel, the futuristic setting. Everything comes together in blinded twists and turns. Freaking genius of a film.
Upgrade" was a refreshing, shocking, interesting and gory movie. I enjoyed the movie in its entirety; the plot, the acting...it was all perfectly executed. Hats off to the writers, directors, actors, and others involved in this movie.
@MKF30 - I think it was in a way... but it was also a quite good ending. None of that usual "Hollywood" happy endings at all cost, but in a way that was a good ending, quite applicable to the whole story. The writing was very good, and the actors played their parts very well. Note: I also watch a lot of short movies from the "Dust" or "Omeleto" youtube channels. Those are short, low budget movies in some cases (but in a lot of cases > very well done), and sometimes you can also see some famous actor in them. Probably "The Homies" should look at them at some point :) Anyway...my point of view is probably affected by the above, as I think the ending was quite good. Depressing? Sure. But at the end, it did make me think a bit more about the whole story.
@@tannhauser5399 It was an alright ending imo. Not the best or the worst but could javelin been done better. I have no issues with the acting, art direction etc just felt like the main character got a raw deal after all that...but at least it didn't pull an endgame where everything that happened in IW was deemed moot. This isn't as super known but for what it is overall a solid film much like Chronicle which is an awesome movie very underrated that had a solid ending that was both emotional and hopeful at the same time.
The way you two were laughing at the first fight scene but then the shock horror in your faces when stem finishes off the bad guy…..Gratuitously…..priceless 😂
11:55 Yes, many people confuse Logan Marshall Greene with Tom Hardy. They look and act a lot alike. I've even seen people think that Tom Hardy was in Spider Man: Homecoming. 15:34 "We have a knife too." Absolute comedy gold.
It all depends on which movie you watch. In the *Terminator* and *Matrix* movies, technology has turned on its creators. But in *Wall-E* , the closing credits show the robots aiding humanity to rebuild the world.
This movie came out in June 2018, which was 4 months before Venom was released. That means both were being made at the same time, so the concept and actor looking the same as Tom Hardy are mostly a coincidence
I love this movie it is a sci fi body horror 💎 so happy to see you ladies reacting to it. Also what you said at 15:37 Venom is a perfect comparison to this movie in fact this is the R rated version of Venom we should have gotten from the two Venom movies.
The trailer gave away that its protagonist is given superhuman abilities by technology. What it didn't give away was the ending... and I am so very glad.
I din't expect this movie for a reaction butman i'm glad!! This movie is amazing, the way is shot and camera movemente is great! If you liked it, you should check The invisible man, is made by the same director and uses a lot of things from this. If you guys don't know who the director is, is Legih Wannel, mostly known for writing Saw and stars in it, it's Adam, the photographer trapped in the bathroom.
40:35 It's thought we're transitioning from the Social Age to the AI Age. There's a documentary called In The Age of AI by Frontline that's a good place to start.
39:04 "..scary" - how very, very true, Mish. A gripping, sinister kind of film, superbly done. How tempting it is to use technology (like the use of “AI”) to help humanity, and yet how so easily it can spread out of control! If smartphones (for example) became Stem powerful - would you, could you, give yours up??
I hate this movie because I started writing this very concept more than 20 years ago, and forgot all about it. (I've still got the files) That's on me, but it does prove there are no truly new ideas.
Hey guys, how are you. Hope you're all doing good. I like your reaction videos of horror movies. I'm a fan of the genre. Since you always ask for recommendations, if possible, please do a reaction video of the following movies: 1- The Ring (2002). 2- The Grudge (2004). This movie is actually a remake of a 2002 Japanese film Ju-on. 3- The Grudge 2(2006). These overwhelmingly ominous horror films are not just scary but downright terrifying and disturbing to a point where they may be, dare I say, traumatizing. The fear, created in these films, can actually be felt creeping up on you as the story progresses.
I'm late to the party... But! hell.. too much tech is bad... I dig cyberpunk, but only with Johnny silver hand:) point being... This movie is scarcely accurate... Ain't no chip in my head!
Hello ladies! Shout out from the US Marine Corps! 06:56 Did you just reference League Of Legends!? Rad! Kekek I love that game! Great reaction as always! This is such a great movie that very few ppl do a reaction to! If you want to see another movie he's in watch Prometheus! Semper Fi and Slava Ukraini! ❤🤍💙💛
@@9709Nick bro, point of doing a reaction channel is to try and react to movies other people actually have seen and want to see reacted to. No one is preventing them from enjoying the movie. Problem is no one else is.
@@Lolas_Hair what? Lol point of a reactiom Channel Is to react, no matter what It Is. If you do it for others then you're missing the whole point. I have known some of my favorite movies and tv series by reaction channels. Like Blindwave or the normies who just don't care about people's opinion, same here. You don't have to limit yourself just for the views.
He's not so much trapped in a memory at the end, but is trapped in his mind living out his life with Asha thinking it's real, so he won't put a fight against STEM.
to be fair... he's in heaven/paradise, able to live forever with his wife... a dream come true "matrix" world and dream life (anything can be manifested in his mind/head, so he can have kids with his wife, seeing his kids grow up, them having kids of their own, and etc etc etc, it's his mind, you can dream/imagine/manifest anything)... but the rest of humanity is.... f'ked...
