At a 35 y/o hospital job I had if you turned the side shut offs on a shower valve you were greated with a leak always, if you could find a ceiling shut off alone get hallways they would be frozen in place, had to coordinate for a whole hospital shut down with dialysis, kitchen and sterile processing, what a circus.
Moved into a 1940s German built house and the hot was on the right and cold on the left..ended up x everything in the house..crazy.. Any reasoning that your experience can explain?
