Hey Buddy. Just got springs from you and put um in my PPQ mags. Gotta tell you that Im very happy with the increase in power. I got a 20 fps increase with 1.8 gr and over 30 with .8 g riot balls. Great spring upgrade and took less than 10 minutes. Thanks
Thank you for the honest review and I’m glad you were able to see an increase similar to what I saw which is around 14% increase over stock…happy airfunning!
Sorry that I have not written before. I've gotten my springs. And installed them in emergency mags for my ppq. And they kick ass!!! 10,85mm Steel balls and these springs, then your good to go:)
I have done something similar on the S&W M&P 2.0 with a hammer mod. Drill m3 hole in groove for hammer spring. Use long set screw/grub or countersink to apply more force on the hammer. This resulted in putting an extra buffer to prevent slide almost jumping of its track. I sold it to friend but will ask him to do a chrono if it increased power.
@@steviefresh4602 I am planning on doing the tutorial soon. We get a high of 17j but using used aluminium ammo. This affected fps... Weaker mag spring allows valve to stay open for longer. This gives more Co2 behind the projectile. Porting valving holes will allow Co2 to escape faster. Stronger hammer spring will hit the valve with more force. This will allow the valve to travel to it's max opening limit. I will do the tear down as soon as possible.
This is awesome i need to buy 10 springs though but out of the 4 t4e markers i use i only use the glock because easy co2 piercing lol other 3 are kept new in the box not sure why i even bought them if i dont use them lol!
Thanks Mike, got my springs today and installed them along with the 5.3 gram steel riot balls. Can’t chronograph the results because I don’t have one. But, it definitely has more recoil than with stock springs.
Great video! I've been reading about a larger valve for the glock 17 gen 5 t4e that greatly increases co2 flow, projectile speed, and joules. Can you do a video on that?
Hallo.
I'm in the UK, can't find that valve key, and not sure which other type would work for sure. Can anybody help Please? He mentioned snap ring pliers, would they work well, and which ones? If possible though would much prefer the proper tool/key
Glad you said "potentially" What I've seen is that it doesn't really do much...if anything. Just warming up the COs cylinder/clip will increase the power (measurable) and most Definitely matters if it's a New Cart. After the Very First Shot the cart cools down, Power Decreases (measurably) The ONLY Way to Really tell if if increases power is With a CONTROLLED Variable Test - (New Cart Before After/With Exact Diameter Rounds/ Controlled Temperature.) Otherwise it's all just heresy.
@@mikes11220 I agree there are many factors which will affect how each airgun shoots. One main factor is when the hammer hits the valve, the return spring allows it to open for a certain amount of time. Changing the tension of that spring will undoubtedly allow more (or less) air in which in turn amounts to more (or less) power. Again there are many factors that will affect how each airgun performs but the science or physics of knock open valves remains the same. Once you get into hammer-less valves and electronic components the outcomes change a little but the physics still remain about the same.
@@patrikorn7117 when shooting .8 gram projectiles these are the numbers with the spring mod…without the spring mod it is around 360 fps…the same would be true for the glock or any .43 cal T4e pistol.
They are most likely speaking of the holes in the valve stem which are used for the blowback function…easiest way to plug is with jb weld but you will have to rack the slide after every shot to reset the trigger. I prefer semi auto.
Question. In theory if i put a heavier spring than the stock one. It should give me less fps? I want to use this when i play paintball but the fps is to high for most fields.
Try to run a co2 under hot water then install it and try it. We heat up our nitrous bottles in a race cars and the bottle will push the nitrous a lot better. I've done the hot water trick on a co2 in my bb pistol and I could feel the difference just shooting the gun however I don't have a chrony. I would be interested to see the numbers on the chrony.
Hi. How much of a difference in power does this actually make? Also, why by shortening/loosening the spring, does this increase power? Does it allow the chamber to be open for longer for more air flow?
Ok cool. Thanks bud. Will be doing this next. I've closed the open port on the side of the mag as well as closed one of the 2 holes that gives the blowback function. I believe you gain the most power by deleting the blowback completely, but then you'd have to rack the slide everytime you want to fire. Lemme know if you know of anything else to be done to the 43 cal markers. Thanks again.
@thomassilk2538 the blowback ports are on the inside off the brass valve you take off to put this spring in ( the brass valve in the video ) so when the firing pin hit and the spring is compressed blowing air through the barrel... there are 2 slanted holes in that internal valve pin.... so then it throws back the slide resetting the trigger. The blowback valve port IS NOT ON THE SIDES OF THE MAGAZINE LIKE PEOPLE ARE SAYING. also, if you were to slab something like JB weld in the pin ports, you would essentially stop it from being able to reset the trigger... making it a 1 shot, then you would have to pull the slide back to reset the trigger. You would be erasing the "semi-auto" from the marker. You take the function and internal action completely out of the marker to slightly increase the fps... not worth it when you would have to rack the slide for EVERY SINGLE SHOT. Lol, it's not a good idea, my friend
This mod alone doesn’t give it too much power therefor the pepper balls will only rupture on impact. With this mod it will still shoot aluminum balls and with more force.
I haven’t done enough testing with that model but I have noticed a considerable difference with the glock and the tpm1…maybe I will not include smith and Wesson and ppq in the title I figured they are all essentially the same magazine types but I think the others have lighter recoil springs so there’s not much of a difference if any at all with those models. I must say I’ve got some positive feedback from a few different people but only time will tell if this mod holds up and stays true to better gains in velocity. The best is if people don’t like it they could always replace with stock spring
Your website says it lifts max power to 6.7 joules. Can you confirm its no higher than that? In the UK were restricted to 7.5 joules, anything above that can be classed as a firearm and is then illegal.
I don’t believe these springs have ever shown to get more than 7.5 joules…on average they are under 7j but I think ammo selection will have a lot to do with the energy as well and you might be able to achieve around 7.5j but highly unlikely.
@@Mootzshootz ok Thanks!! What is the exact name of the tool you used to remove the valve piece. I tried pliers they’re not working. I got my spring just can’t remove the valve piece 🤦🏽♂️
@@Mootzshootz Just ordered 2 springs from you. I also ordered the valve tool because on my S&W MP9, it was a pain to get that valve out. Even the tools that I brought at Lowe’s didn’t work. I ended up breaking 2 magazines and 1 developed a serious leak.
Would this sprig change work in a dpms crossman full auto? Magazine seems to work in the same fashion. I gotta order, but how many to order is my question 🤔........I'm stoked!!
Based on what I'm reading you might pick up a maximum of one joule. The highest I've seen a 7.8 before any modifications that's using solid aluminum balls weighing about 1.9 grams. Every little bit helps.
hello sir im form greece and i just got my t4e glock 17 gen 5. i have one question :will it damage my pistol if i change the spring in the long run?thanks in andvance
Ok so if has less resistance in the spring its stronger in fps??? 😮😮😮 sounds like the opposite if your a person that doesnt know shit like me LOL. By the way whats that tool you use to take off the piece in the magazine where the spring is located? Sorry i watched it maybe i misses the name I'm dumb.
Yes the lighter spring allows the valve to be open longer which allows more air to rush out giving it a higher velocity. The tool is just an airsoft valve tool I purchased on Amazon.
@@Mootzshootz Kind of shameful I spent 6 dollars for shipping and no tracking. How is it possible to take up to two weeks if normal mail travels way faster than that?
@@Mishakol1290 the items were shipped out and should arrive soon. Why are you so skeptical? You act like I’m trying to beat you for $6. You will get your items please just be patient my friend. If you are unhappy with your purchase please send it back once it arrives and I will gladly refund your money. But I’m sure once you install it you won’t want to go back to stock.
@@Mootzshootz Ah alright. Its just someone else whined about the shipping and cost of the springs and claimed they "did nothing". I will look through the helpful comments tho, thanks and looking forward to the item in my mailbox. :)
@@Mishakol1290 no worries, I’m sure you will enjoy the power gain with the new spring when it arrives. Please upload a video testing it if you could. I like to have more feedback to improve things more and more and better future products…it’s all about innovation!
I have Glock 17 T4E 5th Gen .44 Cal. I saw your RU-vid video and would like to purchase the spring you upgraded the mag with. I tried to order online but was unable to complete the order because I could no change the country to Canada. Would you be able to help me out?
@@Mootzshootz Hi, I have been trying to contact you for weeks, but you don't seem to respond to comments. Your e-mail doesn't seem to work either. I want to buy these springs, but your site does not seem to offer international shipping. When will you respond to my comments, or when will you use an e-mail that actually works?
@@cunnyfred9562 the link for the springs is on this video scroll through the comments and you will see. The email works just fine you just have to type it in can’t copy and paste, I was getting too much spam so I removed the hyperlink. I hope this clears up some confusion.
Thank you for your support. Yes I do need to do a side by side comparison I just only had one mag at the time. I’m sure I will get another video up soon. Stay tuned!
Be careful if your in the uk! Should be under 6 foot pounds If your caught and it’s over it’s up to 5 Years in prison! It’s classed as a section 5 firearm!
All my money goes towards airguns and air powered goodies. If you would like to donate a camera so that people don’t have to look at a 1/3 picture I will gladly give you a shoutout in every video that’s shot with it.
No before and after video, just this guys words on it. That should be a red flag. Save your money. If this worked and I was selling them I would for sure show potential customers the difference on video. Not only that, I'm getting more fps on my stock T4E Glock 17 Gen 5 .43 than this dude with his spring. $5 for a freaking 1 cent spring. LMAO
Well if you know anything about physics and the way machines work then you would know that all the aspects are there to add more air exiting out the valve therefore increasing the velocity. It’s like slapping an exhaust on a dirt bike, it’s not going to do much but it will put you ahead of the stock machine just enough to win the race!
