Not quite to their level yet with this scanner. The lack of some basic bi directional functions is what makes me say this. Maybe a higher model in the mucar lineup may be more comparable but I dont have access to those yet.

@@alexsarkisyan1 negative. I never had to ever clear any crash data from a Mercedes srs module, nor is it something I am aware that needs done, if there is another make and model that you need to do that too, that is out of my realm of experience.

Not all models can do abs bleeding. Meaning cars. If the scanner doesn’t have the option then its possible your car does not need abs bleeding. I would have to check to see if mine has the abs bleeding as an option in general

@@MasterTechLou That makes sense. I'm not a pro mechanic by any means. Just a guy who has done all his own vehicle repairs for decades. But this current vehicle, a 2016 Honda CRV AWD has the extended warranty ending this month. So I figure, I need a good scanner so as to analyze any problems and fix what I can. I only mention the ABS thing, because last summer, I had an issue with a couple of wheels getting too hot. I first assumed the brakes, but I did a maintenance on them and they were fine. No binding or anything like that. In doing research, I learned that this model is known to sometimes have an issue, where, if ABS is never triggered, it kind of gets "stuck" and could put pressure on the brake calipers, thereby causing over heating. The "fix" is to cycle the ABS pump, which apparently some scanners can do. Since I didn't have a scanner, I had to find an old gravel lot and do some fast braking to make the ABS kick in. After a couple of times doing that, the issue was resolved. No more over heating of the wheels. So I want a good scanner, without spending several hundred dollars (again, not a pro here). So I'm looking at this scanner, but it's confusing as to which extra packages to purchase to get it to do what I need. Even calling their support line, while the guy was very pleasant to deal with, he really couldn't confirm, 100% if me buying either the "single/specific vehicle" package or the "Full function" package would also include all those resets. Or if I'd have to buy the "Full" ($100) package AND the "28 Resets" ($80) packages. That's literally doubling the cost of the unit. So I don't know if this is the unit to buy or if I should look at a different one that already has the resets and other abilities. Very confusing for a non-pro.

​@@BlondieSLhe did demonstrate how a graphing feature can help you see wheel speed sensors, you will need to put your Honda on jack stands and have some one spin each wheel while you look at the scanner. I did this with a volt meter once but this scan tool is my next go to.

@@SirCavemaninthewest I didn't even think to update my comment/this thread. Sorry about that. I ended up buying this unit and I upgraded to the package for the Honda. This has the "full" features option. As it turns out, it does indeed handle ABS! I was able to make the ABS pump trigger. It does do a lot more. The only bad thing that I can say about the website, is that the offer was misleading. When you go to the option for "1 selected car brand full functions", says and shows that it includes the 28 Reset Functions. But there is not button for the resets. So I called their support line and talked to a guy who really knows the product. He said that this packaged DOES NOT include the 28 resets. I got him to go to the page that I was seeing, where he could see that the offer does say 28 resets included! Then he said, that this was an error. I told him that he really needs to either get the company to replace that FALSE ADVERTISING or to open up the 28 resets and upon an update, open those up. Sadly, 2 months later, NEITHER has happened. oh well. Apart from that, this unit is pretty cool for its price.

Dude you don’t even wanna know! Its not cost effective to just do 1 cylinder. I don’t think theres a labor time for it either. I would guess easily over 2k for doing valve stem seals. If you can find someone willing to do it on car. I don’t even know if I would want to do that job. I know mine (04 S600) needs a complete engine reseal. All gaskets are rock hard. I have yet to tear into it.

@@MasterTechLou Yeah, I’d just do them all but haven’t had much luck finding someone to work on a V12.

@@datdamndavisboy its a beast of a motor. The engine itself is nothing scary. Its the fact if having to remove it and with twin turbos to remove and all the piping. Just takes so much time, shops Dont wanna down a rack . Hard to find techs as it is let alone tie up a bay for weeks.

@@MasterTechLou The answers are getting bleaker and bleaker. Should I give liqui moly seal rejuvenator a shot? What happens if I don't find a reasonable answer? Will the motor lock up or go bad?

@@datdamndavisboy you can try . once all the seals fail you will consume mass amounts of oil which will clog the cat converters.

guessing fuse was pulled due to drain, but I cannot answer what is causing a draw. a draw test is the only thing that can answer that.
