I got a quick question for you sir if you don't mind. I have the C24 which is 1/16 scale and I am contemplating on getting the MN-99 which is 1/12 scale. From looking at a lot of comparison videos on youtube including yours between the two cars, I have to ask if the MN-99 is significantly larger in person than the C24-1? Reason I'm asking is because I'm starting a collection based on 1/16 - 1/14 (which also have), but I can't pass up on a good deal on the MN-99s and at the same time I don't want it to look too out of scale from the C24 and my other 1/14 trucks. Much obliged sir!
@@JDLightnin Thank you for the fast reply. After a fairly good amount of searching I also came across the MN96 which is like a military version of the Defender 90 complete with roll bars, accessories and a working pintle hook mount hitch. If I find one cheap enough I might go for it and modify it and take off some of the accessories to convert it to a civilian version. You've probably seen it but if you haven't here it is. It's basically the same chassis and body without the cab in the back. Thanks again for getting back to me. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-j4Uszl9rxbo.html
It's fairly straight forward if you have some experience with RC. Getting the MN light kit to work with the WPL electronics requires some effort but if all you want is headlights that's easy. I have more videos of this setup on my channel and the wiring diagram is in the comments of one of the videos. Good luck
Not sure which shaft that you are referring to. The drive shafts that are on my MN99s are actually RBR/C and it took some modification to make the pinion gears fit properly
