That old Mack truck looks great after the transformation and then the way that you put the boxes on and then you did the fantastic job of designing and making the brackets for the step it just blended right in and looked perfect and it all added to the great look of the whole truck . I told you before that I could tell that you are true, because you take pride in your work of whatever that your are fabricating . I will give you 10 thumbs up on this project . To make it look amazing in the finish up, and that is the way that I am myself . I will see you later, so be careful and stay safe and make us some more videos . I did some body work on one of this body style-model of old Mack trucks in 2012, it was rusted out around the back cab glass and at the back top corners of the cab . I took old vehicle gas tanks that was sort of thicker light gage metal and had rounded shaped corners like a box and cut them a part to get the shape that I needed to make new top back cab corners . I took the back glass out and cut the glass frame opening out and fixed it so that I could take a flat sheet of thin steel metal and put all over the back of the cab, the truck had a tank bed on it and you couldn't see anything but front of the tank through the back glass anyway . The truck was being made into a water truck to water down dusty coal strip mine roads . As always, Jeffrey !!!
Thank you Jeffery!! I really do appreciate this comment it nice to know that the extra time I take to do things right are being noticed I appreciate that I got the restore on my old C10 coming up next 🤙🏻
Great work, Aaron! To save your knee in the long run, consider teaching welding and fabrication at a local junior college or tech school. That will enable you to share your vast knowledge with students of the trade and keep you off of your knees. Unfortunately, age does creep up on us when we least expect it!
Ya learn something ever day they say and today I did. I never knew a u bolt clamp is called a Crosby clamp and I've use dozens of them. Thanks MBTS Arron. You're definitely The MAN. Great job on this one.
I like a Mack chassis but I'm a Pete guy myself but he's done a phenomenal job making her a beauty! We call them Lincons buzz boxes here in the Northwest too and since you like helping out your uncle and other family I'll be your uncle. 😜 And you're absolutely right a DC welder welds much smoother, they do make 7018 for AC the numbers on the rod are red instead of black but it's still nothing like DC.
Nice job, truck is looking good. Good details from you, when considering all the options you have before you start the job. Also nice to have all the tools you need, minus the slippers 😂👍🇺🇸
Lol 😆 yeah hopefully we can get back to it soon we have got real busy and I’m bouncing back and fourth from boilermaking to Dirt Perfect thanks for watching Ron 🤙🏻
Maybe you should add a brace bottom to top for a bit more support. Just a suggestion. I usually just cut a 45 degree notch and bend the angle 90. That way it only has on weld bead. Nice work brother
Awesome job on the step brackets! You WILL regret not putting braces on those tool box brackets. I would NOT have worked around that pile of lumber! Not enough room to work at all. That had to add to the frustration on the step bracket fab.
Very true about the right quarters and yes I could have but I did a set on a dairy truck about 10 years ago and I just pretty well copied what I done on them thanks for watching 🤙🏻
That is an amazing transformation!! Thank you for sharing your skill in what you do to put food on the table and what you do to help friends and family. Go boilermaker!! Burning metal and pulling the sticks on equipment!!
@@aaronbummmanbehindthescene4931 Some of us bring the coal out of the ground and then you and others help keep the lights on. My family too is supported by the efforts of those that put the time in. Be careful Hoss!! Work hard and go home.
What the heck 😍😂. I started watching your channel and you had 3.7k sub's and now you're at 10+k. Mbts you are a master of welding and fabrication for a union Man your skills are far more closer to the fabrication,i.e. a college educated engineer. What I'm saying is that you have come along way. You have more talent and fortitude than you know. I am so excited for your future and the day that Dirt perfect actually has to pay you for all the onsite work you do for him 😂😂. So meticulous in all you do. I wish you the best and As always good luck and God Bless.
You could always try screwing a magnet into the under side of the dump bed, then if someone forgets to close the box lid, a mechanical latch mechanism won't get torn off if the bed is dumped.
Aaron on those box mounts would it be worthwhile putting a strap brace on those right angles for more support, front edge to rear top edge, if he loads them up and does a lot of dirt road travels I think those straps would be a big benefit to the job, you are doing a great job Aaron with your vids I really enjoying them
Yeah J.B. I might end up strapping them about 10 years ago I put a set on a dairy truck for chains and tools and did them the same way but dumping and trying to shake the dirt out may put extra strain on them thanks for watching 🤙🏻
Congrats on 10,000!! Great channel, great work. As for riding DP’s coat tails, @dirtperfect the relationship you guys have is a big part of DP’s channel. Love watching you both.
I think Dirt Perfect is a bad influence on you He works in his shop in Croc's and you weld in house slippers. At least you're not wearing polyester when you weld. Once was enough for me. Company uniforms. Not my fault. Got new uniforms. 10,000 subs, that's just the beginning, think 30,000. Your uncle did a good job on the Mack. Looks really good. I used a Lincoln "buzz box" for years until I showed the owner how well a 'mig' worked.
Hey Don thanks for watching buddy yeah by the way them crocs got him the other day I was cutting some chain with a torch and he got a hot one between the toes😂😂 you should have seen his little dance lol 😆
How does one wear house slippers outside and jump in a truck to go to work and not know they don’t have their boots on, work clothes and welding gear with them. Kinda mind boggling. Do you have your pajamas on under your jeans?! 🤣🤣🤣 Did we have a few too many drinks the night before?!🤣🤣 Great job and I love how the step turned out. Looks great!
😂😂😂Man Michael I wish I could blame it on one to many I think that’s the problem not enough been working way to many hours hear lately thanks for watching 🤙🏻
Hope your knee gets better soon. My buddy always said, "Two men can do the work of three but, one man can't do the work of two." I think you may have proved him wrong but, I'm betting you didn't enjoy it.
Nice work on that. I think the best part is where you checked the back side of the channel before drilling. That shows me you are a true professional. Congrats on passing 10000 subs.
Smooth job and great video. Looking forward to more, refreshing not to hear snubs of others in presenting your work. Straight and to the point, easily understood.
I had a 655 new holland Backhoe extenda how that had a broken boom, it was a frosty morning so I pulled my sweat shirt over my overalls but left my coat unzipped and as the sun came up it was warming up and felt good after a while it was getting too warm, I popped my welders helmet off to find that the sweat shirt was was burning, I had two spots that were larger then a grape fruit burned up and gone, the overalls got a little scorched but were fine after coming out of the wash.
Happy Birthday Beau. Aaron the boxes and step rail looks good there bud. You should have charged by the cuss word instead of the hour you’d make more money.
Hey man them gloves were so nice you musta figgard you don't need any boots or jacket.HA HA your mind was on Monday but your body was still on Sunday. Take care of that knee dog. Cheers from Jacksonville Florida
@@aaronbummmanbehindthescene4931 I know how long-time buddies dog each other out, you guys are a team, ying & yang... I'd hate to start a bar fight with one of you, I'd have to fight two! LOL
Maybe you could fashion some type of magnetic 🧲 for that box so it'll break away if left open while dumping bed just an idea. Cheers from Jacksonville Florida
Good to see a video you personally carry with your great skills and personality. And where you're not getting berated by DP! Carry on , walk tall! You don't need coat tails!
