Doug and Ashley I clicked on your channel in October. Have watched all your videos from your first one. Binged on them daily until now. My husband and I are hooked waiting for the next one. We love your family, work ethics, patriotism, family values, and the how-to-do things we learn. We feel like we know you all personally. The variety of music in the videos is beautiful and fitting for the activity going on. Belle and Maverick are such a joy to see interacting with their parents. We are following your lives and look forward to each and every vide. By the way, we are grand and great grandparents. Our country needs more families like yours. 🥰
There you go again, Doug, you used one of your great tips and tricks for getting the bamboo shade up!! I would've never thought about putting up an extra piece of wood, that would've helped align the shade with the window better!! Blonde and brainless me, would've just attached the brackets to the wall and left the shade hanging down, just a little over on the upper trim and then I wouldn't have been able to see the fine details. Thank you for sharing and showcasing one of your many talents with us!! Oh, I almost forgot to say thank you, for showing us what your dining room light looks like at night, it's absolutely stunning and a perfect choice for the room!! Thank you! That cabinet fit like a glove and looks like it was custom made for the space. It's really beautiful!! Y'all look so relaxed and happy sitting on your balcony! I love seeing y'alls smiling faces!! Don't waste the space that box you are going to make for the top of the hutch could afford to you! Make it a secret hiding place for something special that you rarely access, like home protection and ammunition or precious metals. Another idea is it could house a small lockbox with your most important papers - will/trust, copies of birth certificates, passports, etc.
Isn’t it marvellous to see the house really taking shape.You’ve nearly done the entire place ,and it’s lovely. Sitting there on your wee balcony you look so relaxed and happy.Would a couple of table lamps and/or perhaps standing lamps add a warm ambiance to your sitting room.Then too if you had a companion piece matching your elegant new cabinet,the white paint would lighten the room .You’ll find a way,you always do😊❤❤❤

When the video started and I saw the dining room light fixture I remembered how perfect it was for your home. Once I saw it after dark it was even better than I recalled!. The bamboo shade was the perfect solution to being blinded/scorched during evening meals. You found the perfect storage cabinet for your needs and space. So many tasks accomplished in one video = a major accomplishment! Revel in the joy of the moment. Ashley and Doug are amazing!
I absolutely love Mavericks cape,reminds me of my now 51 year old son.He always wore a cape..SO sweet.Memories of such innocence is a salve for the soul.
Almost done. The cabinet was made for that spot. Perfection, I think the house is a good size. Some might say it is small but I think it is a great size home. Not to big but roomy and comfortable. Its a bird, a plane, no it is mighty mouse. Peace!
Lovely cabinet ,so I found a cabinet similar like that people were getting rid of it. It was on the road because of a leak in the back was broken so my plans are to fix that leak and to sand it down and paint it white and it will probably go in my bathroom. I have a large large bathroom so I’ll be using it to store towels and whatever soaps and things like that and bottom part will probably hold you know medicine or who knows ,but that’s my planAt Cabinet is beautiful 👍🏼
What a great vlog! When I first saw the white hutch I didn’t think it would work with such dark wood in the living area, but after it was in the nook I was pleasantly surprised at how good it looked! It brought in a lot of light. Loved how your dining room has turned out too. It’s very simple but appealing. I’m so impressed with how the two of you work together and how nice it’s looking!

I have to admit…I wasn’t a huge fan of the dark wall decisions you were making….but based on watching your channel for probably 3-4 years now I decided to trust the process and see how it all comes together. I absolutely love how the white furniture, trim, accents look against these dark walls. It looks so good! You guys have made some really cool design decisions!
It's awesome that the cabinet fits perfectly into that space without you having planned it I'm glad you're doing the ceilings and trim in white it really creates a cool looking space in each room. That's the longest bamboo shade I've ever seen. It looks better than two separate ones like I would have thought of. You two have really been surprising us lately. Don't stop 😊

The new cabinet unit is beautiful!!! It has the old cabinet feel ,yet is brand new! I was freaking out when you almost lost it! Blind blends in perfectly! Cool ideal about a ladder to the loft but very curious to see what you come up with in design. Your right about parts of the house being too dark. The dinning room turned out perfect and it is like by the time you really got into staining and trying different technics that room was the best! Love the new hutch. Brightens the small cove. Brings back memories of my grandparents' farmhouse. Their home had the same dark stain, and I loved it. The walls had character. However, the kitchen walls were painted a buttery yellow with yellow pine cabinets. Outstanding work!
Getting to put the finishing touches on rooms has to feel so good. It's a sign that it's done or close anyway. The hall cabinet is very pretty and functional, which is nice. The white does brighten up that dark corner. Love your little balcony. It looks very peaceful and cozy.

I think it’s turning out great. I love that you stuck with the style of the original house. It really looks like a modern update of an Edwardian era house. You’re both doing a beautiful job with it. House is coming along great. Thank you so much for showing the layout of the house again it really helps visualize what you showing us and how the house has changed. The bump out for the main bathroom has made room for a nice deep Pantry cupboard in the kitchen
