A few years ago we achieved a big goal by moving to the warm south. We bought an old house that needed a lot of work. We have been restoring this property by using our DIY skills that we have gained from working on all of our previous fixer-uppers.
In addition, we also purchased a retro 1984 singlewide mobile home that we have been restoring as well. Both properties are turning out great.
I always enjoy when I see you work on your house. That’s so much the mobile home but your house we are doing a little bit of working on things as well but I just ordered two windows from Home Depot that were custom because my house is 1929 and I need to go pick one up one was one came Broke like they dropped it or something so they had to order another one But I have to hire somebody my husband is very sick so he used to be able to do stuff like this, but he didn’t. It’s coming along slowly but surely. 🔨
LOL towards the end of the video I finally realized its your home and not the trailer. I was like- didn't you all ready do the medicine cabinet and window. Yes need more light over the bathtub. OHH wait this is nine months old.... I was like were is the tile...... LOL Then noticed the date.
It doesn't matter. We like the color we chose. This is much better than that bland unfinished tan primer. The tan makes the house look like a cheap shed.
I'm saying a little prayer that your window replacement for the defective one comes swiftly and in good condition! Am I correct in assuming that you will continue the same new siding to cover the original siding on the wall by your children's bedrooms?
I didn’t hold my breath like I thought I would. U have shown us before not to panic with a mistake. Just stay calm and careful. This might make this one of ur more important videos. It shows that everyone makes mistakes and fixing them is possible. Regardless of the type or size of the mistake we can all make corrections in r lives and learn from them. Logic and self confidence can get us through.
An honest to goodness DIY accent wall. Never would have thought of this but I may steal this idea. Depends on how much of the bigger wall we can do without. But what a perfect addition for a mid century box style home. Soooo exciting for me!!! Thank u again for the time and effort to share not to mention having to deal with the critical crew. Ur mobile has more sq footage than my house. 😆
What a clever idea. Again a perfect example of how u think outside the box. Instead of doing what everyone else does, cost be damned, u put the care and time into the true meaning of what a home means to u guys. It’s perfect in that it fits exactly what u represent-Honest, simple and responsible people.
I really enjoy watching you guys every week and seeing what you are able to accomplish has given me so much confidence to try new projects and builds! I learn something every video. Thank you for taking the time to share and explain your process with each task! 😊
Hi! I’m not sure what happened?! Wondered why I haven’t seen your videos in my feed and somehow I got unsubscribed??? Strange! Anyway, I love the color of your home! So nice to see happy colors on homes, instead of going with the usual boring colors. It adds such character 😊 Aged Wine is a perfect color…I love it!
All those tools and experience... Your in the industry. 🤔😉 You could not ask for a better partner. Your wife is an excellent helper. I wish I had one. 🎉😅❤
Yea you can do it but it's not efficient at all, and the reciprocating saw you are using is to small. Use a chainsaw way more efficient and easier on the tools
I have the same issue with a window in my brand new house that I’m stuck with!! Luckily it’s in a spare bedroom. Quality has declined while prices go up sadly!!
After you test fitted the window and took it down and Evie was standing there, you could have said for a laugh!! Aah Juliet tis you at my window,😄😁 (from Romeo & Juliet) ha -Ha.
I bet the primary bedroom gets a lot more light now that you’ve installed windows. Good choice! The paint color was a bit shocking at first but it’s growing on me. What I like about your channel is that you’re different…..and different isn’t a bad thing. It’s actually a very GOOD thing. Keep on doing things your own way. It’s part of y’all’s charm. 😊❤
