Hi Ian This amp is going to be on another level when completed, yes you’re spending money on parts but I think you would have to spend a lot of money on a new amp to equal it . Kind regards
It would be very good if you show the sound result before and after your upgrade. Because when I was young and silly, I used to solder a lot of these cool, beautiful and good-looking capacitors to all my audio devices. Unfortunately, this did not always lead to improvement, sometimes to the contrary...
With RU-vid compression, it won't do them justice, I would not waste my money on these capacitors, if they were rubbish, they are simply outstanding & have transformed my amp, thanks for commenting & watching
I learned from some guy on YT, you can use old stranded wire as solder braid. It doesn't like as pretty as the braid haha, but it does the job. Could you do some short comparison recordings? I can guess how the sound would improve, but never did hardware mods myself.
