When I was at CBSI in 1993, we tested Windows 95 beta version. It had a whole pile of diskettes. It did install. But as soon as you clicked on an icon to run something, it crashed.
i was at MS during the development of Chicago..the Alpha version had an eyeball for the start button including eyelashes..you clicked on it and selected restart it would instantly go to post..even if you had documents open and unsaved..shutdown would just hang until you pressed the power button among other strange things..lots and lots of BSOD's
Awesome. I started and exposed in computer life with windows 3.1,95, 98, 2000, ME, XP and upto windows 11. At the time of release windows 98 it's was major upgrade and from windows Vista another major upgrade but failure and Windows 7 is the major successor for Microsoft . But still windows 10 is popular operating system after windows xp sp2 and 7 sp1. Hope windows 12 will break new records set by windows 7.

it would have been nice to see a ventige pentium 4 pc going to windows11(its possible&tested) like going from msdos to windows11 idk about msdos but i am sure it will work with win xp+
I think there is a bypass to upgrade from a 32 bit OS to a 64 bit OS but we can see that he couldn't upgrade it 100% only docs and other save files have been kept if I saw this correctly.
Fake. Installed on modern hardware. The beeping and garbage characters printed to the screen during the Windows 1.0 startup gave it away - as Windows 1.0 will do this on modern hardware. Your use of modern hardware was further revealed by the 6.0 Windows score you showed in the Windows 7 properties panel. I could go further and point out there is no way that an old Pentium/Pentium II system would be running Windows 7 and above so flawlessly, but I think I've pointed out enough.

Well let's see how true this really is. First up, you can see him gradually changing the hardware between the video, in the Windows 7 properties panel it literally says "Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU". I don't get how you missed such an important factor to this video, but let's keep going. The "beeping and garbage characters printed to the screen" are just from him using MS-DOS 6.22. Windows 1.0 will do this on modern hardware, BECAUSE YOU'RE TRYING TO USE THE LATEST DOS VERSION FOR MORE COMPATIBILITY. Anywho, I don't think there is anything else to point out, as talking about running Windows 10 and 11 is just pointless.
1.0 and 2.0 didnt have any startup sounds The multimedia extension of windows 3.0 was the first version of windows that had startup sounds and shutdown sounds
Cool. What about Windows NT and Windows 2000? Windows XP was based on Windows 2000 which was based on NT-Technology (HAL layer) - on Windows NT, not on DOS anymore. I miss it.
