Upgrading Laptop CPU i5 to i7 3612QM 

I wish current laptops were upgradeable like that, I was really surprised when I opened my old Dell e6540 to find out its i5-4300M was upgradeable, although never did it and ended selling it to finish building my desktop PC

Thank you for making this video. I've used it a couple times now to take my Vostro apart. Last time I did it on my own. I'm good at it now. Thanks for putting it on. I just put a new WiFi card in and now have Wifi 6/ ax. I've also put in a new mSATA SSD. Upgraded from the 32GB to 1TB. Plus the CPU from 3210M to 3632QM. I'm thinking of trying the 3840QM. I've already got it. It's 45W but I've heard that should be okay and that it's like overclocking.

aku pernah dapat laptop buruk macam ni condition body sangat teruk dan motherboard dan display still bagus...cuma aku cari semua bahan body palrest keyboard include touchpad semua dan palm rest bawah dan battery termasuk frame display depan belakang...serupa tak yah beli baru kekal kan sampai high end upgrade 3rd gen limited dan upgrade ram sampai 16gb ddr3 then ssd pastu done....at least kira dapat laptop bajet gaming untuk guna...dapat fps 60 kat valorant tu pon cukup bagus dah untuk bajet gaming mur2..just upgrade sampai padu baru layan lah sampai rosak mobo tu...

Your motherboard was made one day before mine. I put the 3632QM in mine and it works great. I'm wondering if I put the 3840qm in it so Real Myst from 2015 won't have slicing across the screen. I see the one logical processor is overloaded when I play it. The 3840qm is a 45w processor though.

What's the best cpu the Vostro 3560 can take? I see UserBenchmark says it can take a Core i7-3632QM - Barely better than the 3612QM. I think the mSata drive goes in the top right. I'm not sure I see one on this computer. But I've not looked at mine inside yet. Mine has the 32GB mSata for Window's 7 but when the previous owner put Windows 10 on the computer it had to be put on the 7200rpm hard drive, WAY slower operating system loading time. I just put in the SSD and it's way faster now. I have a 1 TB mSata drive to put in. I've read the mSata has a Sata3 interface while the hard drive/SSD only has a Sata2 interface. So it's worth putting the OS on the mSata drive. But maybe only if the better processor is put in. Task Manager says the CPU is running at 100% now when the computer is first starting and the SSD running at like 50% maybe? With the old hard drive, the hard drive was running at 100% and the CPU was at like 20% when loading. BIG difference! While I have the computer apart I'd like to upgrade the CPU too. I'd like to to get 3632QM but I don't know if it will work. I see the 3612QM will though. And not just in this video. I'd like to put in the best CPU this computer can take though. Also, I've read this computer can take 16GB of RAM too. I'll try putting that in too. Only drawback is not being able to put in a better GPU.

Easy ??? LOL my ass off... U had to totally screw everything out to get to the MB.... So i think u better look into the laptop first if u can easily replace the CPU b4 u buy a new processor and cant get it together afterwards anymore
