Hi Chris, awesome video thanks. Just wanted to check if you fixed it in the lid or is it just sliding around if you open it and also how did you manage the cooling airflow?
Hey man, great questions. So no I didn't fix it down, it is able to move freely. I thought I would use some silicone drops if I wanted to stop it moving. But it hasn't been a problem, it pretty much stays where you put it. Then the airflow, the hood comes with fans already, I made sure that I kept those connected and I plug those in when operating so it does keep cool air. Hope this helps, anymore questions just shout.
Hi there. There are screws at the hinges where the cover attaches to the tank. You will need to unscrew these before you can remove it. In the video you can maybe see where these are when I remove it. Hope that helps. Let me know if you have questions

That's awesome to hear! So glad it went well. Honestly I had some difficulty with the reassembly, to hold it in place while you screw in the screws. But eventually got it right. All the best! English is great 👍🏻
@@ChrisExploresLife it was quite easy to assemble you have to put the hinges then put the cover on it, adjust then screw flat, starting with the last screws I do not know if it's clear... thank you very much for your help Chris, my aquarium is like new !

I just bought this tank but it gave me the strip LEDs I took them out the same day and a ai prime 16 hd fits in after removing everythink I even took out the metal piece just to give a gap between the fan and the top looks way better wanting to remove the spray bar was wondering how big the nozzles in to get a replacement
I actually ended up making my own by melting a bit of plastic tube. It's pretty hard to find an exact size of it, but I definitely removed the spray bar. Think it's much better 🙌
I bought a orange rfg nozzle 1/4 inch and just got a bit of silicone rubbing black cut about 20 mm in length glued the silicone inside the nozzle and the tube fits over perfectly were the spray bar went much more power now I upgraded my pump from day one to a jecod 2000 as the stock pump was so loud, I also cut the baffle lower were the original skimmer sits as I felt it restricted the water flow replace the skimmer with tunze 9004 that I had already I have a empty chamber before the return pump prob gonna make a refugium in it I have bags of bio balls that are years old from my bigger tank that sit in the overflow at the bottom I still use the sponge just cut it down half and use chemo pure blue and elite on top of the sponge then just poly wool at the very top of the overflow I also cut 3 plastic grids from the overflow water passes through much faster now
Hey man, so I'm honestly not sure. It will definitely work well if you remove the hood. But to include in the hood like this I'm not sure. It just depends on a lot of different sizes. I can tell you though, that I've seen for sure you can use a AquaRay Tile (Marine) that others have used and used well by fitting it into the TL550 hood. So that's an option.
