Have you tried a wee bit of good thermal paste when you insert the heating element and thermistor? I did that on my PET machine and it made a Big difference in the heat transfer and how the thermistor was maintaining a proper temp.

Thank you for the suggestion, but I haven't tried using thermal paste yet. However, at the moment, everything is working fine, and the thermistor is maintaining the proper temperature.

how wide do the strips have to be an whats the nozzle size, ive seen other say to drill them out to be 1.5 but i felt like that was to small but ive yet to try it, i got pretty much everything together except for mounting the hotend an im still trying to work out how im going to go about it, if i knew what kind of aluminum would be best used to make a heatblock i would make my own block but all the aluminum i have on hand right now is what came from a old aluminum head from a 2.2 lt engine an i may be able to get a chunk out of it big enough to make one but im pretty sure its cast aluminum an im going to guess that wouldn't be as good as the mk8 heatblock that i have. the setup ive went with requires me to use 2 thermistors one the little bulbs but the other is almost as big as the heating element for the heatblock so its left me with no where to put it, so its left me looking for a old pc heat sink or something that i could mill down an make something big enough to work with everything i have, if not i may just strap it to the top of the block til i can get something else worked out, thats the onlything thats holding me back from trying it so id really like to get it going.

I'm printing with a .4mm nozzle at 260 degree Celsius. Make sure the bottle is clean and no residue is on it
