Absolutely lovely job you got so much filament off that one bottle I really want to build the machine that you use to connect the filament but I don't know where to start
First get all the electronic components and get in touch with the Russian designer for the arduino code for the nano. Meanwhile, you can print the 3d models. I can send you the English translated pdf files and other stuff if you leave your mail here.
@@s3rkanAGA I also need that filament welder machine, but I can't build it myself, is there someone that can build it for me? or someone that can sell the fully assembled machine?
Fyi the volume of a bottle has very little to do with the amount of material you can pull from it because of wall thickness and anything with co2 in it will have thicker walls The heaviest pet "bottle" you can get is a ~500g keg
Is there a reason you don't pultrude directly off the bottle as it's being cut? For example, the Recreator does this. It seems like unneeded steps to spool the tape then unspool it again.
Yes. The thickness of the strip is considerably thick and it really needs high force to do both pulltruding and cutting in the same time. Also I want to control the width of the strip when cutting it because even the 0.5mm matters in thick strips. The last reason is I want to be sure that the strip is clean enough before pulltruding it. If not, I clean them twice or more until it seems clean enough.
What a nice job.. anyway I making the same system like you and getting problem with hollow fillament as result from molten PET strip, can you give any advices to fix that?
@@s3rkanAGA He said....HOLLOW FILAMENT as in there is a hole going through it. Sounds like it's bending the flat plastic around in a circle and leaving a hole in the middle.
@@andyspoo2 hollow filament is not a problem for this type of diy pet filament. We need to live with it :) Just change the flow ratio according to your test results. I print a cube in vase mode and measure the wall of it with a micrometer after print is done. My wall thickness setting is 0.48mm so I calculate the flow ratio according to this calculation.
@@s3rkanAGA Well you have printed more of this stuff than I have, so I appreciate your knowledge. But I think that was the answer the person asking the question needed to hear.
Şu an BMG'de sorun yaşamıyorum.
Yeah, I depressurize the bottle before cutting it. I just haven't put that part to the video, thinking that it is a standard procedure and everybody can assume it.
@@s3rkanAGA you simplified my work by 1000%. Thank you man for being kind to reply 👍🏻. I am making a compact machine like this with auto winding slider to arrange the filament. Almost done with the design and printing. Now the hardest part is the electronics 😅
Please share where I can show you my design. I think my comments are being deleted by RU-vid or something. I can't see them. I shared a discord invite.
Merhaba.
I mean I can appreciate the effort and all , but , for £15 a kilo I`ll keep buying it I think . They way you do it is , tedious , takes for ever , comes in 1 (or maybe 2 or 3 max) colours and looks like crap . I mean it works and all but its really not all that petty is it. Again , I really do appreciate the acheivement you have made and props to you but , I have to say , I prefer a wider selction of colours that turns up next day and I don`t have to process before using it
Firstly, thank you for your answer. The process done here can be done for two purposes. First, for hobby purposes. Although many people like me can afford to buy filaments in various colors, they can do this job just for hobby purposes. Therefore, since it is done for hobby, it is a matter of fun, and it would be absurd to say why you are doing it. The second purpose is that, unfortunately, not everyone in the world has the chance to buy filament of every color as they want. Especially people living in poor countries. Therefore, being able to use the waste plastic bottle as filament in this way is an invaluable solution for him.
