Replacing Roswell LAF pickups with Seymour Duncan 35th Anniversary JB/Jazz pickup set in a Harley Benton SC-Custom II guitar. Are the Seymour Duncan pickups, that costs twice the price as the whole Harley Benton guitar THAT much better??... Let me know in the comments ⬇️

SD sounds fuller and clearer for clean tones and chugging. By a decent margin. I could tell the difference without headphones. Lead tone was very close. I honestly don't think the price justifies the upgrade. The Roswell and Tesla pups that HB uses are pretty decent for the most part. Now sometimes the way they wire the electronics isn't all that great but that is a whole other subject.

Well there is a bit more juice to SD, but I expected definitely a bit more of difference. Great comparison, now I know that HB stock is good enough for me:) Carsten, did you have a chance to try out single pickup Kramer Baretta?

Are the Roswells the Alnico 5 models or the active??? I wonder what the EMG 55s or the 70s how they wou!d compare with the SDs????? And I habe heard GOOD things about the Tesla p/us!!!

Doesn’t sound like a lot on it at all. Maybe the SD’s a bit clearer?? If buying those pickups new I don’t think they’re worth the upgrade
