If you're one of regular viewers you are probably aware that we added the RAM 3500 rear anti-sway bar earlier this year. In this video we're upgrading the factory anti-sway bar to the Roadmaster anti-sway bar. Watch to see us install it and talk about how it's working out with our truck and truck camper.

►2020 Bigfoot 10.4 Truck Camper - We got our 2020 Bigfoot 10.4 Truck Camper in October 2021. We were contacted by a couple of subscribers (now good friends) who had theirs up for sale in Upstate New York so we headed out on an adventure. We sold our 2014 Bigfoot 10.4 within one day of listing it online.
►2014 Bigfoot 10.4 Truck Camper - We got our 2014 Bigfoot 10.4 in August 2021 from RVOne near Charlotte, NC. Todd was headed to buy a brand new Bigfoot 10.4 just before we got the Lance 975 but when he got to Southland RV, it was sold. That's when we decided to go to the Lance 975. We knew at some point in the future we'd have a Bigfoot again and here it is.
►2021 Lance 975 - We got our new 2021 Lance 975 from Chattanooga Fish n Fun in Hixson, TN in August 2020. After looking at several models, we decided on the Lance 975 (Check out Brad's channel from Chattanooga Fish n Fun, he gives great, thorough overviews of some really nice boats and campers.) We sold the Lance 975 in August 2021.
►2019 Northern Lite 10-2 Truck Camper - Bought and delivered from Mountain Motors in Troy, MO on 12/2019 and sold it in 01/2020.
►2005 Northern Lite 10-2 Truck Camper - Picked up on 8/10/2019 we did major repairs, maintenance and renovations to this one and sold it in 12/2019.
2008 Bigfoot 21RB - Sold 12/2019, we went across country to purchase from a dealer in Pueblo Colorado.
►2006 Casita Spirit Deluxe - Sold 07/2018 when we bought our Bigfoot.
►2002 A-liner - Sold 05/2017 when bought our 2006 Casita Spirit Deluxe.

You need a fluid dampener on your crank it is a nice upgrade you can feel how much it takes out the vibrations and it will make your bearings and seals last longer and it really helps your front and rear main seals last and on my 92 Dodge 5 speed manual had one on the front of main drive shaft from the factory don’t know why they stopped I think it would be money because a fluid dampner’s are around 500 bucks but if you are like me and keep your trucks for 20- 25 years it is well worth the investments !

I put a truss hitch on my Dodge 3500 and it had a hole drilled on each side of the huge steel plates so it’s really slick to use for your sway bar instead of a clamp on frame just so slick the super hitch did this it looks 10 times better and looks factory install.

One of the best upgrades for a 3500 Dodge with big and heavy truck camper are to switch your tires and wheels to 19.5 and you can get 12-14 ply commercial tires and they help a lot with sway and the tires will last longer than you will keep your rig and they are not the best ride when empty but under big load like nite and day !

Most people would have taken their truck to a shop to get this installed, but you showed us how easily it can be done at home.... Thanks for showing this DIY video of installing an after market heavy sway bar install👍

As you are aware - I have the same truck as you do. I never considered upgrading the front ASB. I think I am going to do this upgrade. We have reservations in Yellowstone September of 2022 so that loooong drive is justification to upgrade. Nice work and video....thanks Bryan

I think it’s so stupid that they don’t come with a rear sway bar and I did the same all the way around and with 5100 Bilstien shocks work the best for truck camper but not so good for just ridding around empty they are pretty stiff but with the 10.6 Foot rides like a dream !

That RoadMaster is a beefy monster. I put TRD sway bars, front and back, on my 2008 Toyota Tundra about 10 years ago. They make a big difference in handling. Be safe and Merry Christmas to you and your family. 🎄🎁

Nice job! I have a 2017 Ram 3500 SRW with a Northstar TC. Still using the OEM front sway bar. We did add a rear sway bar and it helped a lot but we definitely get some rocking when we turn off a ramp at a slow speed. Curious to see if your upgrade helps that at all. Also, our truck rides super stiff ( molar falling out stiff). Would love to see what suspension options are out there to help get a more comfortable ride with and without the truck camper on. I've pretty much got the same set up as yours but I have one problem that just annoys the heck out of me... have you ever had issues where you driving down the highway on certain roads and your front end starts hopping because of the stiffer suspension on the 3500...? How the heck can I make that stop or at the least, not be so bad...??? This is about my last issue I am working on for my set up..

Road master says the rear sway bar doesn’t work with factory air, but you was able to make it work. Did you have to any modifications anywhere in the rear? I have the same make/model , but a 2016. Thanks.

The model of rear anti sway bar I put on bolted right up. The factory air system was not in the way at all. I did no modifications to make it fit. Thanks for watching!

So you have the factory air bags, my question is did you have an issue with the air bag system not functioning properly after the anti sway bar was installed? I have a 2021 model 3500 with the factory air bags and i am getting a service air suspicion system. It has been a week since the install of the road master anti sway bar. Im wondering if the bar is to stiff for the air system to function properly. Your comments would be appreciated.

Hey Todd, I have watched all of your videos and enjoyed them, very informative. Im thinking about buying a truck camper and looking at weights and truck cargo capacities.. Have you weighed your rig? I'm curious what your gross weight and rear axle weight are.
