Totally appreciate this video. I know nothing about modding keybs and this was very direct to the point and easy to follow. My takeaway though is that I’m just gonna get someone to do it for me 😂 I KNOW I can now mod my own keyboards, but this is too much effort haha! Kudos!

does the keyboard still work? ive seen reviews saying that certain keys get stuck and it wont stop spamming that key also is it 5pin or 3pin

Hello, I'm curious, how long does the lube last? Also can i use dieelectric grease on the metal part of the stabilizers? (I'm new on mechanical keyboard's thingy and I'm loving it ever since i bought my first mechanical keyboard though its not hot swappable) Also new subscriber here!

Thanks for your support! The lube theoretically should last forever - or until your switches stop working. Yes, many people actually prefer dielectric grease for the metal wires of the stabilizers as it is thicker which prevents rattle even more, though be warned it can feel more sluggish the thicker the lube you use.

is it enough to just find OEM profile keycaps? or is there something else i should see to check if it is compatible with my keyboard?

I went for cheap OEM to stay consistent with the budget theme, but any MX-style keycap set would work. Personally I would look for cherry profile as they are the most popular

Chances are whatever mx style switch will be compatible with any standard layout board

what if you didnt resolder the pcb back? im sorry if this doesn't make sense to you i just started my keyboard addiction last week.

You will have to resolder in new switches for this particular keyboards pcb. If you don't they likely will not register key presses as there is no contact between the actual switch contacts and the pcb traces.

You can add foam into the case, do the tape mod, use a syringe to add lube to the stabilizers, and technically lube the switches without desoldering, though it won't be as consistent. You can also change out the keycaps too!
