UpLULA & MagLULA - demonstration of two great ammo speedloaders 

I believe on the UpLULA you unload by using the tab on the back. Simply slide the mag against it and it pushes the bullet out of the mag.

This is the third video I have watched on the Uplula and the best.

Thanks for a great opinion/instruction video! I got a maglula from my son-in-law and I'd only ever used my Ruger quickloader (like the one you had. Nice but nothing compared to the UpLULA!) I had no idea how to use it and your vid really helped. When I get an AR I'll be getting the MagLULA as well - thanks to your video and how complete your information was. Safe/happy shooting, fellow cheapskate, and see you on the other side of the Zombie Horde!

good demo. I just used my UpLula for the first time with Glock and FN 9mm....Fabulous! Especially with 17 and 18 round mags or more! My poor Aching Thumb is Spared!.....Now i must get the Ar Lula !!! Thank You !

Uplula is one of the best things I’ve ever bought...in life....ever....LOL! Worth every penny.

I trimmed my Uplula to fit rimfire mags. The CZ Kadet has a double stack body with a single stack sleeve within so it needs the full sized version, except for the metal tab part. It still works fine for everything else. The metal Kadet mags actually have a very sharp tab protruding from one side of the lip area. This thing is the ticket!

Bought mine for the super strong spring on the Glock mags...especially the shorter mags like the Glock 26/27 & 30

Cool Under Fire I'm a 12 year veteran with 5.56 magazines you do not need to go from front to back with the rounds. If you place the next round directly on top of the top round in the mag and press down and it will just pop into the mag

hi, I also have the UpLULA and would like to point out an error in your video, which cashxx and Toamaius also alluded to. To unload, the device is really pretty simple. There is a tab on the backside (which rests against the web of your hand when you're using the device in "loading" mode). That tab is set into a groove that matches a 9mm bullet, and you use that tab to push the rounds out of the magazine, from the back end of the bullet. On my particular UpLULA unit, the groove contains the word "Unloading" in embossed letters. There is also an embossed image of a bullet to show you the correct orientation. You basically push the round out the same way you would if you were unloading manually, except that the tab takes the place of your thumb.

Yea these are necessary for some magazines, once you get a hard spring or a brand new gun in general with fresh spring it can be nearly impossible to load manually...I can't get more than 3 rounds in my new 9mm so I had to buy one of these.

Loading glock 21 mags (45acp) my uplula constantly fails. The metal depresser- which applies downward pressure on cartridge-keeps bending upward. Result is stack of cartridges remains too high to drop in next cartridge. I have to tap depressed back to correct angle with small hammer every half mag.

Both work great. For 30 round 5.56 mags, the Uplula Benchloader is easier.

NOTE: The Baby Lula is too tight horizontally for the Remington RW380 magazines. I think shaving about 1/32" from the back vertical inside of the chamber is all that is needed, but seems to be a poorly considered design molding, particularly given how loose many mags are in the Universal model. It is not a Remington design flaw, especially given how Rem mags are just that bit longer which appears to facilitate feeding many defensive loads that jam in tighter mags of other manufacturers.

This is a great demo. The package instructions are dreadful, for example: "force down the UPLULA so that the beak force down the follower or top-most round into the mag." What did he say??? Without this good quality demo I, as a new gun owner, would never have figured this thing out. Thank you SO much!

I've been using the Uplula to load new 18-round double-stack magazines that go in a Glock 26. Let me note that the mags are not made by Glock. They are by ProMag, and made of polymer. Springs are tight, of course, but still, that 18th round is nearly impossible to load. Uplula says that some mags can’t take a last round with their device. But I’ve had the same issue from time-to-time with the Glock mags I got when I bought the gun! I’m going to keep practicing, though. Bring on the zombies!

They both work , I have them both . Most people dont have a reason to load with some extreme quickness , They are both perfectly fine for loading a clip.

The loaders are nice, especially for the pistol mags, but i think the a.r mag version is a bit pointless. Just press the rounds straight down into the mag no problem at all. I'm sure i could load it faster by hand without that loader.

This works GREAT!! I can easily load my Glock 19 in 30 seconds. Could only load about 10 before this. Awesome product.

For my AR-15,. I'm trying to decide whether to get the MagLULA or stripper clips. Thoughts? I have many PMAG 30rd mags.

Others have mentioned and explained the correct way to unload rounds using the UpLula, but I'll say the same thing - only differently: On the back on the device, there is a trench molded into the plastic (the company logo is imprinted in the trench). At one end of the trench, there is a small plastic nub. You take your loaded magazine in-hand and invert it so the round at the top of your magazine slides flat, along the trench. You then simply slide the magazine towards the nub while ensuring the round stays flat in the channel (primer end towards the nub), and essentially, you simply strip the rounds from the magazine using the nub as the contact point (think pealing a potato with a potato peeler), except you're peeling away the rounds from your magazine, one at a time. The method shown in this video is completely wrong.

I stippled my pistol loader making loading even easier. Also loading pistol mags use the bullet groove at the rim, turn the bullet sideways with the groove caught on the bullet already in the mag and push down, twist while sliding back into the mag. It will be easier.

Funny how it's been a year since the last comment telling you you're using it all wrong to unload the magazines with the potential hazard of igniting a primer, and this video is still up unedited. Really man, fix it or take it down. Doesn't matter how improbable a disastrous scenario is, it's still possible. Plus it's just plain misinformation at the very least.

But California has been over ruled on the 10 round magazines stating that the citizens of California can own 20 & 30 round magazines. Supreme Court ruled on that one.

There is only one proper way to unload a mag, and that is with a pull of the trigger.

For unloading, you put it on back of loader, not the same way as loading. To unload it’s easier and quicker to just use your thumb.

Yes , They are both fine . Easy to use . I have both . The magula is wayyyyy more expensive but different . They both will work fine . Unless you need to load a qlick ,somehow with the loader in your pocket , then the cheaper upula . Upula is fine and get it for the price . Also , Magula has patents on their accessories like being able to slide in a single stack and they charge 20 extra dollars for just a lil piece of plastic that fits into the Magula main unit it attaches too, so you are 50 dollars into a Magula right away if you have a single stack . Magula is greedy and upula is wayyyy cheaper and works just fine . I have both , I use both and thats my opinion .
