Dan, I actually used the expansion ring to repair my garden hose fitting, (instead of the old screw clamp)just expanded a 3/4 ring using a 1" inch expander head, it worked great

Oh no, did you use the red and blue Uponor pipe? Its been recalled, they don't sell it anymore...only the white stuff. Uponor has issues, doesn't work well with chloramine. it takes as little as 6 years before pin hole leaks occur if you have the red and blue stuff in your house.

I know TONS of people that have the Blue/Red stuff in their house.... Is Uponor going to pay for reinstallation? Make a comfortable sling that you can wear around your neck and shoulder, about working height that you can just turn aloose and use both hands to make the connection. Apron to hold fittings.
You make it look easy, but you are not typically doing these fittings in an open space, you are in a wall or ceiling cavity not as easy and probably all contorted getting to that space.
Just lightly grease the expansion head (the metal cone) on the inside before attaching it to the Milwaukee tool as needed. See manual. Then wipe off the exterior. This will keep grease off the ring and pipe.
It seems like you are assuming resentment. I don't see it. I see a helpful tip that might help some people. Also: yes, people make mistakes. It is a sign of respect to tactfully point out repeated bad habits and mistakes, especially in a training, because it involves an optimism that people care and can change. People that don't point out your systematic mistakes sometimes think you are a lost cause.
