My routine consists of all these workouts and I realised my chest became flatter/smaller and the split is bigger.A definition on my lower chest developed

wtf bro almost 100k subs and you don't lock out. Why is that? A lot of people watching you and you have responsibility to teach them good form. I don't want to be negative but let's keep it real.

+Jakub Kowalski I get your point, but I have a reason for that (since you literally asked my 'why'). The bar over there is so low to the ground even for me at 172 cm that I cannot fully lock out without bending my legs, which I dislike doing when I am doing pull and chin ups. Besides, fully locking out isn't always necessary in my opinion as for me my back does more work when I keep a bend in my arms. When I fully lock out, I tend to use too much of my biceps when I get back up. With the chin ups you can already see in a couple of reps that my feet are basically touching the ground, taking away all pressure. I also like to mix it up a little bit. Some months I stand by locking out completely, whereas other months I like to keep a bend in my arms to keep the tension there instead of losing it when locking out. It's not a big deal.

nice video. i have 2 questions if i may....What is the difference between a wide grip chin up and a shoulder width grip chin up?.....from muscle working view of point. and would it matter if i did 3 sets with more repetitions like 10, rather than more sets like 5 with less repetitions like 5? thank you.
@JeromeFitness
@JeromeFitness 8 лет назад
+se7en the great The wide grip is a more challenging one and it cancels out the biceps more opposed to a shoulder grip pull up. Chin ups are different though, learn the different between chin and pull ups with a quick google search. If you can maintain a slow controlled form with 10 reps then yes.

im trying to build upper chest from nothing but the only thing i know is inclined push ups for upper chest, i can only do push ups or pull ups since i don't have a means of doing dips

+Effort Builds Power Thank you, yes it is pretty great! I'm getting close indeed, but it still could take me a few months to get there. I'm not a very fast growing channel, but I'm happy with what I have. When I finish school I wish to make more videos. At least 3, but preferably 5 videos a week is going to be the new upload schedule then.

JeromeFitness Yeah it migh be a little early, max 3 monts I´d say based on socialblade. Your monthly viewer count is impressively stable! It´s hard to be a youtuber, athlethe and studying full time. As inexperienced as I am with making videos. I´ve given up on posting another one before I´m done with my studies by the end of June. My plan is to start my channel a new with high quality videos. All I´m loking for now is a video editor.The free editor Davinci resolve seems to have everything I need, but it keeps shutting down when I open a project, to heavyweight for my 5gb ram computer I suppose. Movie editor 13 seems as a good choice for about 70$. What editor do you use? BTW I sent you a message on your Mail (info@jeromefitness.com) It was a late response to your our previous conversation. I got a little personal so I figured I´d respond with a mail instead. I´m always bothering you with long messages haha- not to much I hope.

+Effort Builds Power I am using Edius 6, great professional program that you can basically do everything with, but it's expensive (well over 70 dollars). I'll take a look at the email, thanks.

Thanks! Edius 6 seems like a good editor, but the price... Unless I get an educational license, afterall I am a student so it should be an option. Only the price that differs it seems. This is tempting www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1168763-REG/grass_valley_646733_edius_pro_8_education.html Same thing with Sony Vegas Pro 200$ for students. Both seems like really good editors. Vegas seems more popular ans esier to find tutorials for, but eidus seems to have some other benefits. I think I´ll buy one of them. May as well get a real editor from the start.

Hey Jerome, I've been a subscriber for many years now and was wondering whether you use weights regularly in your daily workouts? Do you exercise at a gym as well?
@JeromeFitness
@JeromeFitness 8 лет назад
+James Brown Hello James, thanks for following me for all those years. I do use weights in my workouts, but mostly for my legs and also for the shoulders. Now the only two weightlifting exercises I do are the squat and bent over lateral raise. At other times I do use more weights though, but I always have a good amount of bodyweight exercises in my programs. I do not train at the gym. Well, except for when visiting friends. I've been to a more calisthenics like gym recently of which I made a video.

Jerome, how much rest do we take before each set
@JeromeFitness
@JeromeFitness 8 лет назад
+Captain Deo About 60-90 seconds or so. I think that's manageable. For the dips I usually take only 30-45 seconds of rest. Just do what feels challenging and what gives you the maximum results.

bro can i ask. How many hours do i need to workout in one day bro?
@JeromeFitness
@JeromeFitness 8 лет назад
There is not a single answer to that. it depends on your goals, available time, intensity, etc. And you don't need to work out hours a day either. I work out about 3-6 hours a week maximum to maintain my physique and even build some more

someone buys subscribers

Very first time I got this comment and also one of the more ignorant ones (unless it's a joke). My subscriber rates are quite low and my channel doesn't grow fast at all.

+JeromeFitness why your views so low then
@JeromeFitness

First of all, RU-vid checked how I got my subscribers when I got the 100.000 (standard procedure) so I could order my RU-vid Silver Playbutton. Since I am nominated and have placed the order so it means I got my subscribers the old fashioned way: hard work. This is RU-vid, it's not comparable with Instagram where you have many followers but few likes and such. I have various reasons why this is: 1) Many subscribers accounts aren't used actively. 2) My RU-vid channel has a wide variety in subjects: Flexibility, nutrition, fitness, body weight training, weight training, health. I haven't picked a very strong niche. Many of my viewers subscribe after watching my flexibility videos for example, but after a while they don't watch if I haven't uploaded a flexibility video in a while. 3) Despite an audience retention of 40% which is relatively high for a fitness channel, it's not comparable to a comedy channel for example.
